While I'm waiting for the Seiko 5 to arrive, got this from Amazon
Not exactly appropriate for my wrist size. But then, nothing really is.

Also, very keen on getting the Citizen BM8180. That was/is my first choice, only problem is close to 70% markup with shipping and customs from US.

Nice! Which watch did you order mate? The Bambino or something else?
The Bambino would've been big for my chicken-neck wrist. ?
Hence went for this-

Of course it is. Did you buy a watch from Creationwatches?
Yep, with registered airmail. Pulled the trigger after checking out your post on it.

That's pretty cool. Had no idea.

Interestingly enough, the Singpost id is trackable in India Post tracker also.
I mean, they probably update the status once a week, but still.

I don't get the hype for John wick.
Extremely boring and blank,
didn't bother watching any of the other parts after barely managing to finish the first.
So, you transitioned from-
Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal is underrated, to John Wick is overrated.
Hmm..

Sold by retailnet then I'll give it a go but i guess i came across this before and some users were saying it's not really by google or it did not work with their device, any idea if flipkart will give a refund? 1.4k is steep
Sent from my SM-N975F using Tapatalk
Steep indeed for a dongle. But, from what I had read earlier, this one's the best overall compatibility wise.
I think you will be able to return it if it turns out to be problematic. But better to check with their ccare just to be sure.

Did anyone find a typeC to 3.5m converter from their samsung typeC based smartphone, last i tried was a One Plus converter but it was only for one plus devices and did not work for my note10+. I saw only Rs.100 chinese ones in market and don't want to risk my typeC port going kaput with that stuff.
I need this converter as i am not able to plug in my 3.5mm headset to my phone, samsung do not have one on their indian website but they do make it as i checked on their american website. So can anyone help with a solid working good quality solution ?The Google one is your best bet.

Also if I could spend more money on this, something around 5-6k lets say, any recommendations?
But still going for the black and sexy look, but too not filled with dials and numbers and whatnot
Casio Edifice range will be quite decent. And Fossil too, if you are not bothered with 'lineage'.

HMT Kohinoor. Mechanical hand winding instead of that Quartz nonsense. 2500 Rs brand spanking new.
https://www.hmtwatches.in/3226/product-details/kohinoor-bd.htm
Quartz is cheap, robust, accurate and zero hassle.
I won't have to jerk off with it if I don't wear it for two days.
Apart from the cool/historical/antique factor, mech watches have zero practical advantage over quartz.
Any semi decent quartz watch will run 1.5 to 2 years before needing a battery change. Mine does, and it cost me like 2k when I bought it 5 years back.
Full disclosure: I have ordered a mech watch myself, just so I can experience owning one.

I like the looks of the Casio Enticer. But also I see 2-3 variants, even in the black colour. Ethos has a variant for 2700/-, but Amazon has two more for around 2200/-.
Is it safe to buy a watch from Amazon, I buy plenty of stuff from Amazon but I guess duplicate watches go around?
Also in your opinion this is the best watch in this 3k price range? Or are there any alternatives worth considering?
You should be able to verify the watch you receive by registering it.
And I would suggest Casio or Timex.

Liked the look of this the most, among others.
Chose the registered airmail option, let's see how it goes.

Hey guys, looking to buy a new watch by the end of the year or during any upcoming sale. Im not a watch nerd, just need something decent that does the job and looks good. Black.
Had a look on ethos, and I have my eye on 1. Casio's Enticer 2. Skagen Jorn These are the only two that fit my budget.
I kinda like the Black version of the Casio Enticer, but I also see different variations now on Amazon (priced lower). What should I be doing?
Casio watches are pretty solid, in my experience. Dunno about Skagen.
I have a Casio Enticer running for about 4-5 years now. Have only had to change the battery a couple times.
At the end of the day, buy what you like the most. There are just too many options to get a single, "best of all" opinion.

I have selected Aliexpress standard shipping which is through Singapore Post and is delivered by speed post in India. I know the seller has undervalued the item but do not know exactly how much. Me thinking watch is a small item customs will not bother much but I guess I was wrong. You might just get lucky.

Yeah I have never used that website either. Would love to hear feedback once you get it.
And of course pics.
Sure! I'll be the Guineapig ?
I was *this* close to getting the BM8180, but shipping+customs came to around 70% of the selling price. Couldn't bring myself to do it.
Will have to keep an eye out for any kind soul returning from us/uk ?

What site do you use for importing watches?
I recently bought my first homage watch from Aliexpress and it's been stuck with customs for more than a week now. This is my first high value purchase from Ali and as luck should have it it got stuck. Now I am very scared if they will release it and if they do how much customs would they charge.
Anyone has experience from ordering from Ali that could help me out. What delivery option you have chosen?
I have bought maybe 3-4 things from AliExpress till date.
Highest one was around 11k, paid 3k customs, because the seller had put a far lower price in the invoice. Delivery was via Fedex, who charged 500-600 extra for clearing customs on my behalf.
Rest were all in the 300-600 range, and delivered by post, no customs charged.
