  1. as far as the warranty goes i doubt thrz any issue.. plus this seller from whom i got my ps4 is "snapdeal fulfilled" something on lines of what amazon does.. and well snapdeal states that the product comes with manufacturer warranty..

That'd have been the case 1 year back maybe, when a legit bill was enough. But don't be so sure of that now.

Lately Sony, Samsung etc. have been bitching a lot about online prices.

  2. Does anybody know about reliable Sony service centres in Bangalore ?

I've gotten some names off their website but would like to get an opinion, if possible, before visiting one.

Seems like my ZR camera lens has gathered some moisture/stuff on the inside.

  3. If that's the censorship meter then 90% of the games on XBone won't ever need a rating

Okay, I'll go hide somewhere till the battle is over.

    Edit :- forgot to

  4.

What is the point of buying an out of warranty console at 34k? One can easily get a model with full warranty for 36-37.

Yeah I agree. However, the full warranty part is in a bit of dispute now, unless you're buying from Sony 'authorized retailers' @ mrp. I hope they'll still honor warranty if proper invoice is provided, but they might deny it as well- if their cust care is to be believed.

  5. Ordered the GTA 5 bundle.

I have an sbi card and I don't want gta5. But am still waiting for sub 33k price. If only eBay would allow us to apply coupons on those deals.

You might wanna take a look at this one -

    http://www.ebay.in/itm/Sony-PlayStation-4-console-/121413529730?pt=IN_Games_Consoles_Accessories&hash=item1c44cf7082

After applying coupon, 33.5k. This is a US model though, so no warranty. But considering the warranty situation in India, not much of a loss I'd say.

  6. The listing does say "FROM AUTHORISED CHANNEL PARTNER@BILL@WARRANTY@SEALEDBOX"

If you don't get a VAT paid bill then return it using Ebay's return policy.

Called up the seller as well. He said since the bill will be from him directly, not ebay, the warranty will be valid. Not that I expected him to say anything different :P.

Maybe I'll just take a chance & buy the damned thing...

  7. super deal

It is. Only problem, Sony can & most probably will refuse warranty- despite invoice & all.

Just called up their Customer Care, said planning to buy from Amazon (hoping it'd make better impression than ebay) and was given the same old "no warranty unless Authorized Reseller" crap...

So basically, Sony's official stance is- "if you want confirmed warranty buy @MRP else gtfo." :(
