  1. I personally have a Pc with a 9600 and another with a GTX 260. Also a friend of mine has an 8800

Ill list out the game which run at the max possible res on a dell 24" which is 1920X1200

    1.) Batman Arkham Asylum

2.) Call of Duty Modern warfare 2

3.) All the Steam stuff...and loads of sh*t here..Half Life, Left 2 Dead 2, Team Fortress 2 etc

    4.) Pro Evo 2010

    5.) Red Faction

    6.) Borderlands

    7.) Sabotuer

And thats just the stuff which I have installed. Im sure anything coming out for another 6 months atleast will run on all high on the 9600.

Even an 8800 GTX will last for quite a bit.

So yeah...a 9600 will work good for you..and its sh*t cheap...if you can flex your muscle more you can put in a grand to get a GTX 250 for 6k. And thats going to SURELY last you an year. So I still say go for the 24"...it does make a difference...this coming from a guy who switched out his 22" after 2 months and felt a huge difference. 22" will limit your ability to expand into a better graphic card later on. It will lock you at sub HD resolution. You dont want that hapenning.

So which 24 inch Dell,Samsung or Benq? :P

  2. 35k incl a monitor is a tight squeeze dude, you can make a rig in that budget but it wont be much of a gaming rig. Best bet is to either save up a bit and get to 40-45k range or buy some parts used.

    I dont need keyboard,mouse,dvd drive,smps,speakers.Without the lcd in 25k what can i get? :D

You asked me a while ago

ok, what i ment was my concern for general disregard for good defensive play by the masses. I know you did not say it but just your coment on how chelsea were attractive in late 90's to a machine under Jose prompted my fingers dancing on the keyboard.

Now i cant make u change you preferences (hell it would be downright shameful if i even try to do that- its a free world) but i hate it when people associate a defensive display as being anti football. Agreed chelsea under Jose, at times were just- long ball to drogba and hope for best- team but it was a strategy, not pretty but got results. There were also times when we got 1 or 2 and then laid back contend to defend the oppositon not getting beyond the 2/3rd of the pitch my problem is when people begin to use that and paint us just as a more refined Bolton (no offense but days of Jay-Jay are long gone).

Is it so wrong for a team to rely on its strengths and play according to it ? People just look at the defensive record and assume we are a boring team that can only play physical stuff. My gripe is when they fail to differ between a classy compact defense to a rugby.

The Cl semi against Barca for eg. both legs chelsea had more chances than barca, yest barca had multitudes of possession but i cant remember them more than 3 shots on goal the entire 180 mins, while we had more- though were pretty wasteful about it. in that match a robust tackle of by terry, the marking by ashley gave ME as much enjoyment as a stepover of messi does to others- and it not only cause i am a chelsea fan, I always appreciated a good defense as much as the arsenal play style.. like i said before a 2-0 win with complete shutting out is more satisfying than a 5 goal harakiri.

Same goes for other teams too, Italy were lambasted for their football last WC even when i loved canavarro-gattuso owning the the flair boys. (note- i am not a italy fan, just appreciate good defending). You cant imagine how happy i was to see canavarro (a defender) get the player of the year award.

I guess the nerver built up from the younger days when i played football for school and at a fullback, random uncles always asked me "beta kitne goal kiye" I was like "uncle, defender" and they were like "lulz wut.. u cant play ahead.. u teh suck" yeah i know football illiterate but the media serves them no purpose when they go off wanking all over the silky football while noting any good solid defensive performance as the death of football. I mean how will a young upcoming defender feel when he sees this. why cant people appreciate both ?

and i know all this rant up there must feel like i am going bonkers but its just a.. a.. oh how do u say 'a dhukhti rag'.

    thanks for reading, all.

How much time did it take to type :panic:
