@boltonfan@KunjanPSD@l33tmaniac Thank you for your inputs. Much appreciated. Yeah Sony OLEDs are the best though they are really expensive at this point. So I will wait for this Diwali for the best offers and new LG OLED which hopefully iron out these issues. Of course no TV is perfect and obviously there are newer techs coming up but there is a budget which I have to follow.

Also I am really curious why Samsung don’t make OLED TVs despite making AMOLEDs in their mobiles.

Keep checking the prices in between, especially during the Independence Day period. You may get a very good deal. Also the discounts at the stores are much better if you speak to the right people. Only purchase online if the TV isn't available anywhere.

For the Samsung TV's. If you go to a multi-brand showroom, the salesmen will try to convince you Sony and LG missed out on making QLED's :P

Guys how reliable is indiflashmart myntra seller, never used the website before but now need to for football kits

Myntra (and the seller) should be fine. Check Ajio or Flipkart as well.

Don't get the Jersey from another country. Not worth the price. Only import if its rare.

@santanu18 it seems that OLED TVs rarely go on sale. Was there any sale on such TVs last Diwali? If yes, was the discount significant. Deciding whether to buy now or wait. I don’t expect OLEDs pricing to go below 1L mark this Diwali.

They go on sale quite often, though never below 1 lakh. Don't use online prices as a benchmark. You can get better deals offline. Do you have any TV in mind? The B9 was available for 1.05 lakhs and the C9 for1.2 lakhs, last year. Sony has also been reducing their prices. The A9G is available at a pretty good price at the moment.

Ended up buying the ultraboost 20 . Got them for 8600 after card discount on FK. f**kers sold out within 10 minutes had to buy a size which is a tad bigger but I'll just stuff cotton :fear:

Overall very disappointing sale in terms of shoes. Only very outdated models are on sale.

    Good choice :D

They are either sold out or back to the MRP on Flipkart.  The pre-book offers on Flipkart were better than the actual sale offers.

For the size, if it is one size bigger, it should fit you fine. If it is more than one, don't use it. Keep checking for a couple of weeks. The size you need should be back in stock. Exchange it for the size then. Simultaneously check Amazon tonight as their prices will probably reduce further.

Thank you brother, this is what I need. My current Adidas shoes are going fine (Cloudfoam Racer), will not bother with the cheaper Asics shoes on FK.

I was only considering buying because the price seemed stellar, but much rather spend the money and get good shoes.

My mom does need a pair though, and its her birthday this month, so I think I'll get her the Ultraboost. We're always buying Adidas, but never spend that much, but this is the time.

No worries! Good shoes make a huge difference. They are well worth the relative premium.

Ultraboosts run half size/ one size smaller generally, so be sure of the size before you order. Do post pictures of the ones you eventually get!

Thank you for the advice, but then again, the absolute top range might not actually suit my pocket man haha

We generally buy Adidas, in the 4-6K range after a 40-50% discount. Though we do believe that footwear is super important, but I felt the comfort is quite satisfactory.

Not into running shoes for the looks. Anyway, then these shoes on sale are clearly not worth it.

The only Nike shoe I tried is the Lunarlon, and I found it to be quite comfortable, though costlier. My brother is a Nike guy and he got me a pair to get me to convert. Not happening anytime soon.

4-6k Is a very good budget. Will get you top of the line on Asics, and just one level below top of the line (ultraboost) on Adidas. If you prefer Adidas, get the boost series.

Agreed, Nike running shoes aren't worth their price. However, their lifestyle shoes are the best.

I mean, this has to be blind. I've never bought from Asics before, my entire family has been walking around in Adidas for ages.

Now, if someone who has more knowledge can mention which ones (from the sale) are worth the price, that would be fantastic.

Use case is cycling/walking/running for me, my parents only use them for walking.

Just for my mom now. Both me and my dad wear UK 10s, that size is available only on this shoe-

GEL-KENUN Lyte MX Running Shoe For Men  (Black, Grey)

As a general rule, don’t get the entry level/ mid range of any brand, the target market is the people who prefer the brand name, and comfort/ performance is secondary. Try to get the absolute top range, at a discount of 50-70%. They are well worth it.

Nike is notorious for this. Nike running  shoes which cost as much as 10-12k are not as good as Adidas or Asics shoes in terms of quality. Though they look much better.

If you do want Entry Level/ Mid range, get Asics as their quality of shoes is much better than the other brands. Looks wise they may not be as good as the other brands though.

From my personal experience, I had the ultraboost 17 and really liked it and literally wore it for 2 years straight, but unfortunately while bowling, my big (thumb?) toe tore it. So use the shoes for regular wear or running/jogging. But prefer to not wear it while playing most sports.

The comfort it had was beyond epic.

Then last year, to replace these, I got Ultraboost 19 & Nike joyride flyknit. The nike joyride was even better and is my daily driver now. I have rarely worn my ultraboost because I find the nike to be much more comfortable.

Yes the mesh upper is really susceptible to wear and tear. Even with moderate usage, it will eventually tear after a few years. Have had it happen to me as well. Really hurts when it happens. But the comfort and breathability offered was well worth it.

Interestingly, mesh was really common a few years back on even mid range shoes, across brands. Due to cost cutting, it has now been replaced by Synthetic and all companies now only offer it on their top end shoes as a 'feature'.

I haven't ever seen Joyride's for sale in India. Look futuristic and really comfortable as well. Will check them out, next time I come across them

Where would be a good place to buy kayanos for 50% off or ultraboost for 7-8k? Fk/Amazon?

Flipkart or Amazon. You'll get them at 50% off at both places. Size/ colour availability will vary across the sites.

I saw the latest Ultraboosts (20) for 9.5k on Flipkart a few weeks back. They will definitely be cheaper during the sale.

Can see a few boost shoes on discount on Amazon. Expect similar pricing on the entire Adidas range during the sale.

Check Ajio as well. They currently have the best discounts on the newer/ rarer shoes, across websites.

Don't get the kayanos unless you've tried them out, they are aimed for overpronators. Get the nimbus if you want an Asics

Agreed, true for any shoe. Best to try out before purchasing, if possible.

I was looking for something with shock absorption but at the same time doesnt break the bank, since my achilles tendon seems to get a little sore when I do a few sprint.

Thanks will check out pegasus 37. 5k will be a good price and reviews are also good.

Though really wanted to try the gel based Asics but 13k for kayanos seems a lot.

If you want the softest most comfortable sole, get Adidas shoes with the boost sole (Ultraboost, Pureboost) They’re comfier than anything out there.

If you want something a bit firmer, but still with good cushioning, get the Kayanos.

Don’t pay more than 7-8k for the Adidas Ultraboost, and 5-6k for other boost shoes. Asics Kayanos, not less than 50% off. For Nikes, they usually retail at 30-40% off, during sales. Getting them for 50% off would be a good deal.

Guys best place to buy Asics shoes? Also recommend a good pair for jogging/interval running on the road/garden?

In terms of quality all sites will be the same: Amazon, Flipkart, Tata Cliq or the Asics online store. Get it where you have the cheapest prices.

What's your budget? If you want the absolute best, get Kayano's as they are the top of the line.

Side note on the brand, Asics generally fit a bit broader and are hence a little bulky. If you like a narrow fit or something that hugs your feet, get Nike's (Vomero/ Pegasus) or Adidas (Ultraboost/ Pureboost).

Man were we committed back then, can't believe the number of games we played. The community was very well knit as well, due to some great organising and prizes. All credit to Dan for this.

Everyone had their unique style of play which was so much fun. Some playing only crosses, some trying to pass through the defence, some only focusing on counter and some using skills. Some also with last man tackles and own goals :P

Playing with friends is a different feeling altogether. Having played and made so many friends here, felt even more special!
