  1. Htc gives lot of options in cdma. My bro has this version 530 I think (will confirm later). It works pretty good and has dual sim with cdma and gsm. The only downside is that its 5.5"

Yep but the ZTE Grand SII is snappier with snapdragon 800 n 2 gigs of ram..... Though this is also 5.5 inch but it is bang for your buck device for the specs which are put on table.... Only drawback is the battery which doesn't last long for power user like me otherwise it's a gr8 phone..... My wifey is using the phone now and she easily gets more than a day out of the battery whereas I have switched to OPO.... [emoji16]

    Transmitted from bacon....

  2. Guys, please suggest a good cdma smartphone. I see there are very less options when it comes to cdma phones. Budget would be less than 20k.

Would suggest the ZTE Grand SII from Amazon i have that phone works great on reliance CDMA (have read on forums) plus also works with GSM (I am using GSM sim) if u don't mind the android 4.2 and it won't be updated.... Has a beefy snapdragon 800 with 2 b ram and expandable memory.... But single sim....

  3. Guys m looking for a router for my office... Currently I have a linksys wrt120N at my home and it has served me very well for the last 4yrs... I need a similar router (or better) for my office it's a small office around 700 sqft with cabins... Need a router which is rock solid in maintening connection won't be streaming movies or anything so an N150 spec router would be sufficient... Budget is low but can throw upto 1500 if the features are future proof...

  4. OPO will be supported worldwide. If you are ok with flashing the rom yourself, then OPO is the best choice.

Besides, How is the support of Huawei for software upgrades?

And XDA has a bigger developer community for the OPO if that means anything to you.

I am fine with flashing roms in fact that is the main reason to go for OPO.... Huawei is shitty in upgrading their ROM.... I have been using ascend g700 for the past 1 year but have never received any updates plus the community is next to non existent.... I can get tidbits from Chinese forums but it's really difficult to come across them.... Have checked xda forums for honor 6 and we do have an active community there so it won't be a problem this time around....

I have checked the benchmark scores on various websites except games the kirin chipset beats the snapdragon 801.... Plus the honor has removable battery and expandable storage... Basically this is where i am stuck should i pay 2 grand more just for ROM development and 5.5 inch screen... Which will in most probable (50-50% chance) of have the yellow banding.... And some set of bugs in the ROM...

    So Pls enlighten me guys.....

  5. Guys need ur help.... Utterly confused between OPO & Huawei honor 6....

I know honor 6 is a little weak for games but apart from occasionally playing real racing don't do much..... Right now am using Huawei ascend g700 and its rock solid except that i want to upgrade to something faster....

Again r read the news cyanogen won't be supporting Indian version of OPO.... So reconsidering that would it be wise to go for OPO....

Kindly help.... Especially those who already have OPO [emoji16]

  8. For a long time i have been pc gamer only though i could afford ps3 on the side as well because its game price has just now started going crazy ..thankfully much of its good years has gone. Even Tp price on ps3 games use to drop frequently . SO i could afford exclusives on ps3 and continue enjoying pc with cheap games as well

But now situation is completely f**ked ...neither pc is as cheap as it used to but i would still say much better than console where as console gaming is insanely f**ked up...Rs 4k for each game. God knows what these guys are thinking.

That's so true mate.... I have always been a pc gamer... 2 years back i jumped on the ps3 bandwagon so that i can enjoy gaming on my 55incher tv.... But the pricing of the games are ridiculous... Have been a psplus member since cause it was of gr8 value... Now I have heard that they are raising the prices of ps plus to 4k for 12 months which is ridiculous looking at the games which they are giving out for the past 6 months....

So as of today my ps3 is mainly used for ps3 exclusive titles and as a Blu Ray player... Am back to pc again games are cheaper u have a wide variety and a large library plus the graphics will always amaze u....

Next upgrade for me will be next year most probably a 960 or 970... Am done with consoles unless it drastically turns the table around.... My 2 cents

  9. I have 2 seagate 500 gb disk connected in RAID 0... Now i have one spare wd green 500gb disk which i would like to use as another backup drive in my system.... I will be saving movies and some essential stuff on this drive.... Pls don't suggest using an external enclosure cause I had done that that and it ruined my data and made my hdd useless....

Now i tried installing this drive by connecting to the sata port on my mobo... It gets detected in the bios and raid menu but not in disk management in win7 64 bit... Even after running scan again it's unable to detect it..... I know the drive is working since i created a partition and formatted it with ntfs file system in diskpart...

Pls help or am I missing something here...

  10.

Get any 880G / 890G series motherboards you can get a handle on. Preferably from a renowned brand instead of local or shifty stuff.

Couldn't find 8 series mobo anywhere everyone said that it has been discontinued... Anyways went ahead and got a gigabyte GA78LMTUSB3 (igp was a priority for me in dire times) for the time being it will serve my needs for another couple of years before i move over to Broadwell..... [emoji16]

What are the fans connected to, the motherboard or directly to the SMPS (via Molex)?

Do you have an iGP to test the graphic card not being a victim?

Finally, try to boot with a Live OS, like Ubuntu. Download from here, and burn it on a disc / put it on a thumb drive.

The cpu fan is connected to the mobo fan header the gpu is connected by pcie input from psu... The case fans are connected via molex from psu.... On a normal boot up sequence the gpu fan starts at highest speed and settles down after 4-5 secs to normal idle speed.... Now it just rotates at high speed instead of slowing down

I have an integrated gpu tried that too still no display... Display say no signal detected... Instead of no input (ie if i don't connect the Display panel to anything)

Will try booting Ubuntu from usb but I don't have high hopes since the mobo is not displaying any POST info.....

I would suggest you go with the low cost approach, this shall give you a decent budget to purchase a graphic card.

You can upgrade the CPU and motherboard a little later depending on how Broadwell / Skylake fare.

    Hope this helps, Cheerio!

Thinking the same... any mobo u would recommend my requirements would be USB 3.0 and an integrated gpu.... Sata 3gbps is fine for me don't plan any ssd upgrades on this machine atleast.... Should also have atleast amd 880 chipset nothing lower...

    Thx for helping out

  14. Wow that's a steal :O

Yeah I remember i had purchased a single module of 8gb of transcend value ram for 2000 when the ram prices were at their lowest I think end of 2012 now I can't even think of buying 4 go [emoji24]

Any idea y does the Price fluctuate so much.... I mean it is already a mainstream product for the past 8 - 9 years

  15. ^I ordered one :P

Lucky u...... If u wanna sell it cheap lemme know....

OK now the problem..... 2 days back my pc refused to start dunno y? The mobo won't start the POST and there was no display.... Changed the bios battery (5 yrs old mobo) removed the ram sticks disconnect all attached peripherals to the mobo but then also no post or error beeps.... My old cabbie was not in a gud shape (rusting here and there and the power switch wasn't working properly) and I was using a vip 600w psu.... I thought mebbe the psu is not giving enough juice to the setup and hence ordered an NXT phantom 410 cabbie and Antec TP750 watt gold certified psu.... After cleaning and reassembling the pc it wouldn't boot... No POST no error beeps but all the fans and gpu fans are running on their max... So most probably I think mobo has gone kaput....

If anyone can help me troubleshoot this would be thankful....

    Second option

I wanted to upgrade my gpu but m waiting for the news from Nvidia side... But since my mobo is gone I have the following 2 options

Low cost-- change the mobo for 4 - 5k and hang around for another couple of years and upgrade to Broadwell or

High cost-- change the mobo and cpu and go for i5 4970k this would cost me 20 to 22k and the gpu upgrade has to be delayed to next year end

Some honest feedback would be appreciated since my phenom IIx4 955 handles everything as of now not very much interested in piledrive architecture of amd due to high tdp of their cpu that's the only thing which is making me switch to the Intel camp this year... And yes one more important thing the new rig should last me for the next 5 yrs that's a must...

    My specs as of today

    AMD phenom IIx4 955

    Gigabyte MA785LMTUD2H

    12gb ddr3 ram

    500gb x2 in RAID 0

    benq 24 inch led

    Antec TP750watts psu

    Galaxy geforce 260 216core gpu
