  1. Avatar 2 was full of plot holes, continuity errors and was mostly a retelling of the first movie, but it's still worth a watch just for the visuals - I might not watch it ever again but for one time watch, I would highly recommend it. It felt Cameron gave his all to this movie - it has Terminator, Aliens, Titanic vibes of course mixed with Avatar.

Enjoyed it thoroughly. Rajkumar Rao is becoming my favorite actor. Although Radhika Apte imo was strictly OK and others did a better job. We loved the retro feel especially the music was always on point. We need more such well made mystery thrillers.

Anyone else feels with the open ending they left a scope for a sequel?

Felt more like the ending was inspired by similar genre movies like Johnny Gaddar but yeah, sequel can be made if they ever wanted.

  3. Finally got to see Top Gun Maverick yesterday, neither on IMAX  nor on 4DX, just plain simple theatre. I had always admired the pilots but now, I have utmost respect for them and Tom and other actors after watching this. There won’t be another action star like Tom Cruise in our lifetime and there won’t be another movie like Top Gun Maverick. The love for aviation is reflected in each scene. I would want to watch it again in 4DX, but there are no shows running it anymore.

    Damn

idiot in our cities also stopped top gun maverick screens. So nothing to watch this weekend

Same here in Delhi NCR, I was planning to watch it this weekend in 4DX -  but all 4DX and IMAX screens are now for JW:D and the theatres are almost empty.

I felt that way in a few scenes where the movement was wild and erratic and wasn't really able to replicate some of the maneuvers being performed on-screen.

But other than that it was pretty much in-sync and worked especially well in the third act. So much so that I can't have it any other way now.

Doctor Strange isn't really a good choice IMO. I never even thought of watching it in 4DX.

I feel the movement works well when it has to simulate being in something tangible on-screen such as a vehicle. The best 4DX experiences I've had so far are Ford v Ferrari and Top Gun, both majorly involving vehicular movement.

Ford v Ferrari was great in 4DX, even if Top Gun can give similar experience, then it is no-brainer to go for 4DX than other formats. I will watch it next week once the prices drop a bit.

This one was funnier but by episode 2, the chases became ridiculous.

    Spoiler

No one, not even our titular hero was able to match her speed. The whole rooftop sequence was bad direction. Also, Reya’s jumping and running looked fake too, cable work was clearly noticeable.

    Editing needs lot of improvements.

Obi wan Kenobi is just

    Loved both the episode!!

Cinematography and Ewan's performance were great, everything else was just average. Still looking forward to upcoming episodes, maybe things will improve with the arrival of other returning characters.

    Spoiler

Princess Leia actress should have been a bit older and editing could have been better in order to make chase scenes more believable. Temeura's clone cameo was surprising and welcomed.

  8. Saw Jersey - Hindi version on Netflix. The story tries to be inspiring but the plot doesn’t make any sense. The lack of communication was the real villain of the movie. If only the hero had some genuine conversations with his family and coach, all his problems would have been solved, but no, he had to be angry all the time and do stupid things to prove his greatness. The end reveal felt hollow because of how the scene was setup. Direction could have been better.

And kinda surprising too considering pretty much everyone here has at least heard of Evil Dead.

I remember back when I was a kid there was a rumour going around that Evil Dead's director watched it alone in a theater and died of a heart attack because of how scary the movie was

I guess not many have actually seen the movie.

I heard the same thing about some other horror movies too like Paranormal Activity and Blair Witch Project and some hindi movies - RGV' Bhoot etc. Seems to be a pretty common rumour for such movies

He is trolling. Second credit scene is not relevant at all.

I still think it was relevant as it gave...

    Spoiler

closure to one of the funniest cameos in the movie plus it was an excellent reference to Ash William's possessed hand from Evil Dead 2. But that's just my opinion and I respect yours too.
