This is usually always the case,but it is a historical situation for Xbox where next gen is lagging behind last gen
Seems like not many hardcore have adapted & most of the system sales are coming coz of the subscription that doesn’t want you to pay.

The very fact that M$ was relying on games like this,Bright Memory,Crossfire & whatnot for the first year of console launch is a shame in itself.
Most pathetic year one in console gaming history,or rather I should say totally Zero.
No wonder they are having to buy games & give em for free to stay relevant.

These kinda projects enter post production & are scrapped many times.If it’s a like for like remaster in new remake like assets & is packaged with TLOU2 for a PS5 launch then maybe it makes sense.
Otherwise if it’s a ground up remake & Sony is making a capable team that can work on something new or a more required remake,then it is quite frankly the Stupidest thing to come out of Sony.
So far it was The Order 1886,which in itself was an ok one time play.
Sony don’t make such stupid decisions usually.

They needed to go back to a tried & tested & somewhat slower formula to implement the free roaming open world maybe.
Also you never know they could very will be introducing guns & parry within this or next few upgrades of the game.

Yep that’s true.
It’s quite an outdated engine & they always have trouble tweaking it as they like.
Bloodborne couldn’t get a patch for similar reasons & neither did they bother with Dark Souls 3 patch for OneX.
It apparently runs best on framerate that has been inherently accustomed in the source code & trying to unlock it leads to troubles.

But games released in same year as PS5 & some just 3 to 6 months gap.
Practically are as good as cross-gen titles.
Officially obviously they don’t line up but practically & sensibly speaking,

They need the source code(which I’m sure epic has) to remaster.
After Gears 1 UE,Coalition could either focus on new games or old.
M$ severely lacked studios back then & outsourcing to someone like Bluepoint would have been the best option but now they have missed the train.
They should Atleast let XBSX take BC advantage & allow Gears UE,2 & 3 to run at 4K 60fps(they were already 4K on XBoneX)

everything is straight out of BB except animations & character models,which obviously can’t be like for like coz it’s not the same engine or developer.
It’s as close an inspiration as it could be.
Lol you can’t copy a genre.
But yes,M$ invested heavily in Forza Motorsport IP to take PS headon with it’s GT popularity.
