M$ is not even worried about making money in immediate future. That’s the scary part. They can simply rule the whole industry with this sort of mindset.

Actually no even this is not enough to say they have beat Sony. It’s the fact that what’s the point when they can just invest more than half of Sony’s total market value in a single year. Sony is moving real slow in terms of what it needs to do in case of hardware or even traditional retail based distribution goes obsolete. They should have formulated an exit strategy atleast when it saw M$,Google,Amazon investing big in cloud based infrastructure. Obviously there would have been massive acquisitions & trajectory changes when so many big players were eying on something.

It’s over dude I’m shutting shop on console wars. Just no point. Though yeah the actuality of whatever is happening needs to be reflected only once M$ actually started getting returns with whatever they have in mind.

Actually for you it’s a no brainier but then again you hardly even play COD(I guess). The majority of player base in FIFA,COD,Fortnight,PubG don’t buy much games throughout the year. Let alone subscribe to a service & play nothing else. It makes sense for them to buy 1-2 game a year rather than spending whatever monthly charge M$ has planned to be their source of income by 2024. I think all depends on how far M$ is willing to keep their subscription as low as it is currently. & what it’s planning to do about roughly 18m player base on PS which is like much more it has of it’s own.

I won’t say now since it’s yet to actually take effect. But yeah if COD is going exclusive in future then it’s sort of an irreplaceable franchise…no matter what Sony does. They very reason Sony stopped investing in MP shooters was COD & the attach rate PS & COD shared. It will also be tricky for M$ as to how to go about separating them. Specially when most have already purchased a PS5.

All the traditional PS fanbase will have a meltdown. It’s just human nature. PS brand has been the best since it’s inception. Too many good memories related to it. But yeah I don’t think it’s appropriate to say that things will remain the same forever. Earlier it was Bathesda games & Now Acti-Bliz,that’s like 30% of the third party games disappearing from PS within this gen & we don’t even know if M$ is done with acquiring yet,who knows what’s next. Obviously things won’t remain the same by 2025 for PS.

Overwatch was pretty big on PS & consoles in general. Not as big as COD obviously. But Overwatch 2 already announced for PS4/5 & I don’t think that’ll change & will be out by the time things take effect. 3 will probably come another 6 years later.

Lmao They aren't acquiring all these studios to make sp games for consoles. I assume their focus in future will be to take on mobile market of Tencent via cloud. But yeah that transition will take time.

ESO & CoD Warzone are continuing game on multiple platforms. We just don’t know how exactly they’ll deal with overnight fanbase disappearance. Average core gamers don’t follow news or marketing to know the next iteration/update will be absent on their owned platform. So yeah it’s safe to say they have to test a lot of waters first.

The acquisition will take place after fiscal year 2023. Which is like April 2024. M$ is still fully supporting Minecraft & Bathesda games on PS.

If you really think GP by 2024-25 (when it would really have titles like COD & Elder Scrolls) would still be ₹150 a month then you are just kidding yourself. They tried to make it $120 a year just when Bathesda news was out. Ppl who play COD & FIFA only every year will still buy & play it on PS in foreseeable future.

It’s literally in the logo of the game. Even if one is unaware of Norse Mythology,didn’t watch a single trailer till now or haven’t heard about it….the logo itself just gives it away.

PS5 disc will contain the PS5 SKU. PS4 disc will entitle you to download the PS5 version digitally. As long as they made it aware for ppl here that cross-buy is free, I see no reason why ppl here see a problem in it constantly after every three pages go by. If someone is worried about unaware ppl they should rather start a campaign somewhere about making ppl aware rather than constantly nudging here where ppl already are aware. Unless it’s on purpose of flaiming a Sony exclusive thread.

Uncharted upgrade is just ₹500 & it’s kind of a blessing in disguise to the majority disc owners as it gives you the other game absolutely free if you own one. But for ppl like me who own both digitally….yeah they should have given for free. But I personally didn’t pay for both individually & got both since launch as part of the Digital Deluxe SKU.
