  1. Even PS4/5 has implemented it fairly recently. Xbox controllers just never had any sort of motion tech ever.

Yep that’s the whole point of the context here. RE 1 remake came & went away without anyone giving two shits. Coz it was the same with just updated graphics. RE2 remake with it’s redesign brought a whole lot of moolah on the table. & that’s what’s needs to be done with RE4. Be it semi open world with side quests or some sort of other gameplay/map/layout redesign. It needs to be 10 folds better than the original.

Yes he meant Elden Ring. Though completely different genre but what he implied is right. Elden Ring has changed many opinions on open world games. But I didn’t mean full open world game to begin with. Something like Bloodborne I meant. But anyway time will tell.
  4. That. Laser guns before that. PS2 Eye toy. Motion sensing was part of gaming on & off always. It comes & goes like flavour of the month every few decades. It’s just that I said it went away/subsided after Wii era to reference touch sensing in mobile gaming, these guys or onto me to just find some sort of agenda to argue & gang up only to end with baffling buffoonious coments like these:- Just because I told them not to expect/crib about discounts in a totally different discussion/context. Dil pe chub gayi bate

Most likely you played the entire campaign in co-op. Which had it’s own novelty factor back then as it was fresh & unique experience back then. But anyone playing solo would obviously feel the hit in quality. I borrowed a modded 360 back then to play Gears,Halo,Bioshock,Mass Effect. Also played RE5 & Dead Space 1 on the same console before giving it away & going official. Playing Gear 1&2 solo & then playing 3 in Co-op was night & day difference in terms of fun factor.
  6. Ok bro whatever you say & Mr. Bird feel is right. MotionSensing in gaming never dropped & constantly as popular as it was in Wii’s prime all this time. Here I “admit my defeat” & back off as your fans & well wishers envision every fortnight.
  7. WiiU was not a console known for its motion sensing capabilities. Neither were the first party games from Nintendo focused on motion sensing the way they were earlier. Every console from Nintendo/Sony carries motion sensing capable controllers since Wii/PS3 but it would take only a deluded head banging personality to just outright stiffly keep denying the fact that not every console since then was a Wii.
  8. Nintendo moved onto WiiU & almost entirely abandoned motion sensing obvious coz they saw a downward trend in its overall appeal. Same happened with Kinnect & PSmove,it’s just that Sony was smart enough to be ready with it’s VR conversion which had to be started from an infancy stage all over again btw. That was my only reference when I said Touch sensitive gaming outdid traditional mobile gaming for a short while & Vita was sort of unlucky to be launched exactly at that time. All this Gyro aiming & Switch’s new found love for it along with VR spike is fairly recent & Wiimote era ended more than a decade ago. Motion sensing was mostly dormant for this period.

I’m playing that as we speak. I started it on PS3 back when it launched but it was obviously not very attractive so it got lost in gen transition. Recently I didn’t have access to a 4K tv for short while so decided to clear all unfinished 1080p games that I left. So bought it for ₹500. It’s just not an RE game & is a poor take on UC/Gears. Should be left as it is as it’s nothing more than a summer blockbuster star studded RE animated movie which just ties all lose ends at the end of the story arc.
  10. Just so that you know that Wiimote wasn’t the first motion sensing device either. It’s just that it became most popular in history. Motion sensing has always come & gone in phases historically….& VR is the new phase. I fully expect it to become the most popular form of gaming in the near future at some point. But that doesn’t change the fact that post wii era motion sensing in gaming dropped to almost 0 levels until of course another new tech came & the historical cycle is taking it’s course.
  11. & All of those things are as popular today as Wiimote once was?!? Ppl dropped it & went back to traditional couch gaming is what I meant. Just like ppl stopped fantasising touch controls for every freakin game.
  12. Motion sensing gaming in general was short lived is what I meant. No one is pursuing that design anymore & it was basically only popular during Wii’s tenure. Wiimote,PSmove & Kinnect all included. It was being co-related to the early bombardment of touch sensitive games on IPads/IPhones. That took the market by storm but now even mobiles are more into service based competitive games or Tetris wona be’s.
  13. “Abandoned” was always as much in development at “BlueBox” studio by “Hasan Kahraman” as “The Phantoms Pain” was at “Mobby Dick” studios by “Joakim Mohren”. Or “P.T.” was in development at “7760 studios” “several people close to Kahraman tell GameSpot” ”In reality, those close to Kahraman tell GameSpot” Yeah right

These original reveals depict some of the directions stated above. Yes it just doesn’t make any sense to Remake 5 if they don’t redo the entire concept & design(possibly what they had in mind earlier). Imagine making a co-op all over again!!
  15. Their incompetence being they couldn’t focus on both Handheld & Consoles together. They went all out on Console with the last few years of PS3(when Vita launched) & whole of PS4 gen. Which I’m glad they did…..some of the best content on PS in this period & still is into PS5’s first 3 years. Also Proprietary memcard was probably the biggest reason for it’s death….really foolish move.
  16. Apart from these:- -Battlefield 4 & it’s amazing experience on PSN -Second Son Visuals -Destiny Raids (minus the grind) -Witcher 3’s World -MGS5’s Tactical Espionage Perfection -Being the Batman feel -Titanfall Campaign -GoW’s rebirth
  17. PSP also got good First party support initially but then sales picked up & third party followed & the cycle continued. With PSvita the sales just didn’t pick up for third party to bother or first party to keep bothering. Everyone was busy with newly acquired features in their smart phones & tablets. It was just like Wii Vs PS3 in its initial days. Some new gaming tech which was poised to be short lived attracted too much attention away from traditional stuff. Also Sony had to focus on Home consoles as priority coz M$ was giving them a tough time.

    Resident Evil 4

Yep most of the reasons why RE4 was moved from horror to action was technical. But now they can create the actual grizzly woods atmosphere & the jump scares that would come along. Turning the game into a proper horror could be the real catalyst of this redesign.

    Resident Evil 4

Yep that’s another good example & series. I don’t think RE4 ever was either. It was a totally action/survival oriented game. I don’t remember a single instance I had a jump scare. It was a full of tension gameplay & that’s what even TLOU has been all about. But anyway it’s too long a discussion for something invisible,I think let’s wait till actual gameplay demos to discuss this further.

    Resident Evil 4

TLOU2 the kind I am talking about. Days Gone full open world (successful in terms of sales & word of mouth)
  21. Yep it had some amazing first party games. Killzone M Resistance BS Souls Sacrifice LBP V Uncharted GA Gravity Rush The most sad death to a worthwhile device.

    Resident Evil 4

Proper huge open world will obviously be undesirable. But Something like even UC Lost Legacy/TLOU2 would be appropriate IMO. Just creating screen by screen corridors from the old game in new assets won’t bring much worthwhile to the table. Considering this game has been remastered for every gen.

    Resident Evil 4

Story is in succession but each entry has its own unique script & apart from the “outbreak under umbrella’s nose” nothing really carry forwards. RE1 has been remade but the design is still very old school & it’s a really old game which nothing much to offer in terms of Story anyway you can Google the events easily. Starting RE2 Remake Capcom decided to redesign the entire game into modern structure & completely revamped the design. It’s basically a modern take on the old story. RE3 was more of an expansion for that as the events take place simultaneously. It’s better to buy as a bundle & both games are being patched for next gen too.(Ray Tracing & all) So the whole 2-4 trilogy will be next gen & totally worth playing.

    Resident Evil 4

I never played/completed the original RE trilogy on PSone. Felt very claustrophobic
  25. But if they don't make PSVR2 back compatible with that content it will be a whole lot of stupid. It needs a huge library to thrive.
