Remakes & Remasters are two very different things & then there are hybrids. (Hybrids being Gears UE,Halo Anniversaries & SoTc R) Remakes like MGS:Twin Snakes,Ratchet & Clank,FF7,RE2&3,DemonSouls had nothing to do with the original source code apart from just reference to create like for like Screenplay or the AI programming. Atleast that’s what I could make out from them.

It has difficulty settings & there is no grinding so can’t compare with Soulsborne genre. Can compare it to Platinum Games stuff. But it’s quite hard on difficult settings. I played Sigma on PS3 & 2 on 360 on normal difficulty if I remember correctly.

Quite a big deal. The original version was much superior & created by series originator Itagaki Tomonobu. He deleted the original source code before leaving the company out of some vendetta though. One should play the 360 version through BC on XBoxOneX/SeriesX,I think it was upgraded to 1800p@60fps.

Practically speaking it is already at a discount for ppl who bought PSplus earlier at a 25-33% discount. It’s just 3750-4250 a year for these ppl if they upgrade. So if you had or can get PSplus on a discount you’ll get it for much cheaper.

Yes Inch by inch just made with new graphics & animations. They are good with tech,art,graphics & animations but can’t even dream of creating ai,design & levels the way Fromsoftware does. They are strongly rumoured to be working on MGS1 remake where they will learn how to use old design & recreate fresh levels & gameplay design with that inspiration. It’s the logical new progression in their evolution. But creating something original from scratch just yet….I don’t think so. Let alone something as complex as Soulsborne design.

That I’m not sure of But the remake is not using the original source code. It’s built on a completely in-house proprietary engine of Bluepoint. It’s just using everything from the original game like art,design,AI pattern & levels. Built completely again in new engine.

Remaster they can’t For remake they don’t need license to source code of original game. They just need it for art & inspiration which they obviously have access to. It will be rebuilt from scratch just like DemonSouls using the same Bluepoint engine.

I don’t think anyone is capable of making a Soulsborne other than Fromsoftware themselves. Bluepoint just can’t & shouldn’t even try as their first attempt at originality.

Bloodborne getting a sequel is highly unlikely. I guess it left(the whole deal with Sony) a bad taste in From’s mouth. They probably didn’t make any money & felt their time & energy got wasted….it was their best work till that date to be honest. Now that they are owned by a big company themselves they don’t need Sony nor M$ nor Nintendo’s money to create stuff like Elden Ring for maximum audiences. Sony won’t give up Bloodborne IP either as they obviously have a plan for it post DemonSouls Remake & Bluepoint acquisition. PS5 or Crossgen or PS6…..it will definitely happen after whatever Bluepoint is working on right now.

Has it been revealed what Abandoned is?! Have you seen gameplay….do you know the release date?! So how can you bring that up to prove my predictions are wrong?!? Not that I claim always to be right to begin with. But atleast wait for it to come to pass boy.

As I predicted Bluepoint will make a Remake (Just like DemonSouls) for sure at some point in the future. But right now they are (re)making something else I guess. Expecting a remaster anytime soon will only lead to disappointment.

Yep,the pass was just 1k. It included all future UC4 MP & SP content. The MP maps,weapons,co-op alone was worth that price. This was basically free for us by the time it came.

Lot of DLC’s started giving both routes lately. I specifically mentioned UC Lost Legacy’s consideration coz it was a massive grey area as to what it exactly was. It was sold as part of UC4 “expansion pass” which mentioned MP DLC & SP expansion. But it suddenly disappeared (pass purchase option) & then very late down the line it was introduced as a $40 standalone UC game. I had bought it as part of pass so it was basically part of the package for me. I think the scope increased & they decided to make a whole new game. But if we keep this aside,The Old Hunters is definitely the best DLC ever created. Atleast amongst the ones I played.

Sony hasn’t really changed,it’s just that M$ has changed the rules after giving most all it had for free. It’s all in like a poker game for them. They obviously have too much to give. Except quality exclusive content of course.

Splinter cell Conviction & Blacklist:- 4K@30fps with better textures. Double Agent:- 1080p@Unlockfps.(not sure though) Original trilogy:- 720p@60fps. (Collection edition on PS3 was don’t know if this remaster collection existed on 360)

I bought The Old Hunters long time ago but couldn’t play it until I had all the time in the world at home during pandemic. I must say it’s not really a pleasant site specially after playing things like GoW,HorizonZD & others on a 4K hdr TV. Me not having access to a 4K display for a short while also helped a lot in my zeal to finish it. But gawd damn!!!! It is one experience to behold. Best DLC expansion in history. if you don’t count UC Lost Legacy as one.

It’s great that you are admitting this fact point blank. & not flip-flopping it on convenience like others. Would also appreciate if you stand in support of this truth & not support/like posts claiming that not all GamesPass users are using backdoor of XBLgold. In sustainability/revenue generation related posts. I fully agree that GamesPass is much more VFM at it’s real factual price point. But PSplus is being competitive than ever before & calling it “sh*t””bikhari” while putting it indirectly in comparison with GamesPass’s real price point in this “flip” & then saying Sony should do it too coz GamesPass is generating X revenue in that “flop” is literally a two faced argument.
