I think if you’d take my word. Sony wouldn’t be able to upgrade the existing code of Bloodborne if they haven’t/can’t already. I would only think of a DemonSouls like remake from ground up from Bluepoint somewhere down the line. But obviously it will be a different kind of beast & would require at the very least 3 years of development. In short not happening anytime soon.

The same demographic who got it only for online play. Just like PSplus which will only be used as online component after PS+Extra’s existence. (unless of course you guys admit that 100% demographic know about trick backdoor but then that’ll open another sort of can of worms so you obviously won’t) So if you’d like to call either of the two a “sh*t service” one wouldn’t wait after getting 3 years of doki doki manchurian & only 1 day after getting GoW on the other.

The very fact that Xbots want to talk about GamesPass & PSplus/now/extra with having totally forgotten about the existence of XBLgold through some sort of hypnotics is a factual notion that’s nothing new. Look neither do you nor do I have any legitimate document or proof. So your stand of "Sony is not doing it coz they are lazy/greedy/uninteresting/niche" is as vague & uncredible as you think my stand of "them not having an option" is. If anything I can only point towards the obvious things in sight like Sony upgrading almost all of their fan favorite library with just Second Party developed projects left out. Something similar even done by the almighty consumer friendly M$. For anything they could have gone 2k/Rockstar,Capcom,505 way & didn't bother to upgrade games at all unless sold for a $60 price point all over again. Heck Rockstar sitting on RDR2 & even Mafia DE's doing nothing is much worse than anything out there for me personally. But anyway that's all I had to say logically....before it derails into something else entirely.

Same reason why M$ invested so heavily in Gears trilogy,Sunset Overdrive & Ryse without even owning the IP let alone the engine by an external developer. (Gears ip was bought by M$ in a separate deal much later) Also the fact that despite being a fan favorite title even Sunset Overdrive never received XboxOnex support. So by your own analogy it was easier for M$ to enhance/patch so many third party titles but not a First party title that they themselves funded & published with Second Party development. Answer is simple....it was not in their hands as it's a proprietary engine,property of Insomniac (& now Sony through them). If the engine owner doesn't allow one simply can't tweak it & put out official software on servers. Lance Mcdonald on the other hand doesn't need permission as he's putting it on torrent for use on jailbroken device(unofficial channel).

Yes they did but they had to seek permission from the original developer each time. The reason why some of the biggest ones were left out of the program & some ordinary ones added. Also for fps boost specific features they didn't need code or permission as it wasn't software code related,was purely a hardware level boost. Lol so you think 120m ppl have played GoW even if we take your “vast majority” phrase at quote here then you think 80m ppl have played it after 20m sales of which around 13m would have been reusable discs. Also common sense says that most of the hardcore/core gamers who would have adopted to PS5 (& got hold of it in collection) were also the hardcore/core audiences that would have played it at first opportunity on PS4. Let alone school fee…..I think you should apply for a refund from the hospital you were born in. Go back to some other universe which fits in ppl like you more appropriately.

I certainly saw ppl doing “jashan ka nanga naach” on GamesPass thread each time a title like RDR2,DoomE,Hades,Hitman3 etc was delivered on that service. More so,Infact much more so on getting Medium,Ascent,Gunk,Crossfire,Back4Blood,R6Extraction or Sniper Repeat 5. So I kinda thought those kinda 12-18mo stuff is the real backbone of the service & ppl are Infact enjoying them the most. Good Day1 games (which aren’t to hell & back rehash holy trinity) like Psychonauts 2 or Flight Simulator are still as scarce as water ? in desert ? . And even these are niche + super niche genres respectively. GamesPass has certainly reached where it is today because of good quality 6-18mo titles. Also honest fact is I personally don’t want PS+Extra or even Premium to ever cater to day1 buyers……coz they are much needed for the AAA gear rolling. Unless of course M$ strategy of reaching 1billion subscribers comes to fruit by whatever means & then we’ll see.

If they are actually not going to announce anything GoW~R release related even at this show which quite frankly is most likely the case as they have already made it clear that “no first party” then there is a strong chance it’s not coming this year. It’s June already & if it’s coming out within next 3-6 months then they have to have a release date by now.

PS+Extra is direct competitor to GamesPass & it is getting newer games ranging 1-2 years of release. PS+Essential is a competitor to XBLgold now & in comparison to that this is through the roof. Infact I’d be glad if they stick to this strategy rather than going that way for as long as possible. Give GoW,Spider-Man,Lost Legacy,DeathStranding over the next year on this low tier service & fetch more new subscribers on all your tiers + potential sales of sequel rather than giving something that is of use to simply no one. I mean when was the last time anyone even saw what is being offered on XBLgold?!?!

It’s not even about the existing subscribers. PS+Essential can fetch new subscribers by giving out games like GoW. Which can later potentially turn into PS+Extra subscriptions or sales of GoW~R. More revenue into the pool only means more quality in games & in services. Much better strategy than giving out “doki doki manchurian” kinda sounding titles that’ll probably only satisfy egos for “getting something you don’t have/played” but nothing beyond that.

I hope before spewing that you did realise that PS4 + Pro has around 120m of instal base.
