  1. Completed Banshee. Emotional ending and well wrapped up. I'm sure fans back then would have longed for another season of the show.

Now, to a question... I have discovered a show that is called Banshee Origins which is a prequel to Banshee? Is it worth watching through?

  2. Last episode of Banshee left now. Although season 4 has been a quite dull when I compare it to the first 3 seasons, this show has been a very enjoyable watch. Who would have thought that in that small, sleepy town of Banshee one man's entry would set off a chain of events that would stir more than storm up!

I will miss Lucas Hood's bass a*s action sequences and Job's repartee's (I'm a fan of Hoon Lee now)!

Also, the one action sequence that will always remain with me is the one between Burton and Nola. That was absolutely visceral! The camera work and capture of the moves were remarkable and the end to the fight... sickeningly brutal!

Also, will I ever forget that Shotgun scene! :raygun:

Thank-you to everyone here who recommended this show to me!

The Shield is one of the best series I have seen. It will hook u in right from the start. Highly recommended.

Thank-you for the recommendation my friend!

I was just asking another friend of mine and he had the same verdict! That's it then, Shield it is. Nice long 7 seasons, should be perfect for the balmy September evenings, after work, with my malt.

Damn. Will skip it for now then.

Thing is I'm only 3 episodes away from completing Banshee and was wondering what to pick up next. I was thinking if I should give The Shield a watch? I have had this sitting on my drives for a long time now and never actually ventured into it.

  5. This evening's Kerber vs Alison Riske match at the WTA's Zhengzhou Open was nothing short of grueling! Almost 3 hours  and it left both players completely exhausted. In the end Kerber lost in the TB and for fans of her, like me, we have seen better days. This was her fifth loss on the trot spread across tournaments. Sad. But at least the match was amazing to watch. When each player breaks each other's service games for a whopping 10 times, what more can be said, really!

  6. Superb win for AFG!

Rashid Khan is the youngest captain in the history of Test cricket to record a maiden win in the format.

Rashid Khan is the first player to record a fifty and 10-plus wickets in his debut game as captain in Test cricket.

Bangladesh become the first team to lose a Test against 10 different nations

Sad to see rain ruining Afghanistan's chances. It would have been a huge stepping stone for them to beat a major Test team. It may be many years before they get such an opportunity again. They play in these stupid one Test series too. Wonder who their next non-Ireland opponent is.

Even if play restarts now, Shakib is capable enough to save it. Why do Bangladesh play at this time of the year, every year? Who even approves these schedules? They've escaped with so many undeserved draws because of this.

AFG play a Tri-series (AFG, Bangladesh & Zimbabwe) next in Bangladesh. That starts from the 14th of September.

Then they come to India and have a big series against West Indies (3 T20I's, 3 ODI's and a single Test). All the matches are scheduled to held at a single venue, Rajiv Gandhi Internation Cricket Stadium in Dehradun.

  8. Angelique Kerber is all set to start her Asian Swing at the Zhengzhou Open, after she accepted a wild card into the event. However, this time around she will not be alone. Reports have suggested that she will be seen with a person named Dirk Dier. Dirk Dier has been with the German tennis federation and is also known to have a good relationship with with Angelique Kerber.

A very bad 2019 it has been for her. Hoping her career picks up again. :)

She plays against Alison Riske (US) on the 10th at the Zhengzhou Open.

  9. Brilliant comeback by Medvedev after the 2nd set to take the match to where it went. Superb stuff from both players but Nadal was unrelenting as he always is, right to the end!
