  1. been reading about this virus for a while now and it's all starting to feels like a pilot for a bad tv show..

healthy individuals with good immunity need not worry, masks are required for sick people to stop it from spreading. keep hygiene, avoid crowded places and stay at home. this virus is a mutated one hence cure is taking time. all casualties in India so far are elderlies with co-morbidities like BP/Diabetes/pulmonary infections..

So a "proper critic" who can't even offer a proper critique.

Stop considering yourself that because you're just a rando with an opinion like the rest of us on this forum.

i guess there is a degree that you need to have to be considered  a proper critic, which i dont have, currently i am busy with my surgery degree :P and i have limited time to come here and take part in discussions. thanks to senior members like you who discourage rando's like me from participating... i am out of this thread.. :)

    Happy New Year Ivgians!

I have been going to the gym for a few weeks now. The trainer is always on his mobile and gives 0 support.

I am just doing basic weights, 5 kgs for each part and am not too confident with what I am doing.

Can anyone help me out by suggesting a good YouTube channel I can follow to get the basics right and get in shape, while building my core strength? All the main channels(Nippard,Athlean etc) seem to focus on heavy weights and higher end stuff.

you visit SQUATS group on facebook and read the discussions there, you can get lot of information. also, set a goal depending on your body type, understand the workouts and muscles involved (no detailed, but basic info), set a realistic goal and be consistent, even 4 days of regular workout for an hour is enough. (if you into powerlifting then heavy weights, if you want beach body/aesthetics then go for more reps and sets in less weights, for calisthenics use only body weight.) dont worry about supplements like protein or pre workout as a beginner. just focus on increasing strenght and stamina for first few months. keep cardio as a warm up and not too much.

pm me for any more info, i am always happy helping fellow lifters.

    Yes, sir.

I trust professionals and value their calls.

But going to them leads to lots of frustration,

Also when different people say different things,

And not easy on the pocket (might sound cheap but that's the truth)

In the end I felt self accessing was the best thing, try it, if causing pain skip and move on to something else but keep at it ,i was lucky or it only needed more time to heal but going to the physio for a full year couldn't have been an option.

a good and experienced physiotherapist can work wonders on back pain.. what i meant was to get a proper diagnosis.. lower back pain can be caused by many things. even pain from kidneys is felt in lower back, leading to confusion of back problems.  i hope you sort out the problem and lift more

    That's seriously sad,

    How is it now ?

Only back extension worked for you ?

Can't imagine if the pain also gets to the other parts, would be 10 times harder to get back, but there should definitely be more exercises to follow.

unless you know the cause of chronic and consistent pain, do not try to correct it yourself, consult an orthopedician and a physiotherapist before following any videos you may have seen online or advise from a layman. being a dotor and a calisthenic athlete, i cannot put more stress on self medication and treatment.

Since you consider yourself a "proper critic", surely you can come up with a better (and more objective) critique of the movie than just saying "storytelling didn't live up to the hype"?

I just  wanted to express my feelings towards the movie in a compact way, and not write a comprehensive review. scorsese is proud of his story telling which was not impressive. unlike you, who is a critic of members posts, try to stay relevant and not wander into unnecessary details :P try to understand before assuming..

Finally got around to watching Irishman. It's a very different movie from what I expected but great nonetheless. The actors were all great especially Pacino.

i liked the movie, but after scorsese's comment on marvel movies not being real cinema, i watched this movie as a proper "rando" :P critic and i didnt find it living up to scorsese hype of his story telling.

I used up my three months GamePass Ultimate for Rs.50 offer. Any of you can help me find a place to buy the subscription for some discount?

new users get that offer. i created a new user id and got that offer for the second time, and you cannot move saved games between profiles, so make sure you finish the games before making a new id.

Amazon IN renewed/refurbished/unboxed products are not at all recommended. 99.99% chance you will get something you will not like and you will end up wasting a lot of time to get replacement/refund. In US also getting unboxed items only from Amazon Warehouse is safe enough where they clearly mention what's missing/the difference. So stay away from it here, unless you like buying headache.

amazon refunds has been a very pleasant experience so far. this offer is too tempting considering the original price.. i am waiting for a nice coupon from my bank, will pick it up soon.. hoping it wont be as you say it might be :P i bought lots of hi end refurbished items from ebay without any problems.. will update soon..

  10. based on my limited knowledge over the  last two years, your limit will depend mostly on your cibil score, and its advised best not to have more than 2 credit cards for maintaining a good score. SBI and HDFC are really good cards, which i use. there are plenty of offers and fees, best go for cards that offer annual fees waiver after certain amount of spends. SBI's rewards are really easy and convenient, HDFC's is a big hassle.

    Yes will do.

Well I can see the 6800 on amazon for 8k, but assuming theyre both on sale I might as well pick the 7000.

Im looking at 10k for the R7000 on amazon right now, getting it for 5k would be a steal

any opinion on r8000 ? i am getting a sweet deal on a used router.. should i go for it ? there are quite a few models of r8000 on amazon and price slightly different..
