Its pain to play with PWT all playtough first time. You would have to check guides etc at few locations. Ppl usually prefer blind playtrough for first time and it'd be a lot more fun that way.
Why are you playing with 2 chars anyway? Its best to play with 1 char to achieve fast plat

You can carry all items into ng+
Don't worry about collectables. Just play normally and in ng+ playtroughs collect items.
You need to change world tendency to get items. Its a bit complex mechanism, so don't bother with it in your first playtroughs. Else you would waste a lot of time.

Art direction, lighting also looks better in this uc4. Only textures would look better on ACU cause its on PC.
Uc level in demo is big enough to be called open world too. Only free roaming won't be available
