as I couldnt get it from lammy...even prime didnt have it...and they were quoting 1k higher price,,when it's available..

itwares prices are good, unless u can go to lamington road and find a nice shop and bargain(which i did).

BTW transcend DDR2 800 2 GB module should be 1700(back in Jan 08 i brought it at this price) so be aware of the prices becoz even now the prices shown are 1800, so bargain on this one, cannot tell u for the rest, coz my config is different.

GFX suggestion: buy HD 4850. if possible go for Sapphire, there' r nice reviews about Sapphire, but it's ur choice, go to newegg.com and enter both brands name and see the customer reviews.

PSU suggestion: buy Corsair 450 W, it's better than CM 650, but if CM is ur brand then go for iGreen models they'r power efficient.

Cabinet suggestion: go for this one if u can http://www.nzxt.com/products/alpha/ becoz with HD 4850 u will require the side fans to throw out the HOT AIR but if CM is ur brand then i strongly suggest to go foe one that has side fan/mountable side fan option like this one http://www.coolermaster.com/products/produ...ail&id=2908

HDD suggestion: go for 1 TB they r cheap now-a-days. or 750 GB. and WD is nice choice.

One of my friend ,,advised for 600W SMPS..but will Corsair 450W would be sufficient enough,,if I consider future,upgrading-say in terms of Graphics card(I suppose it should,if it does today..coz in future power consumption would decrease,considering the trend to go for 45nm or lesser manufacturing!!!

Iam planning to buy another 20" dell monitor,for personal use,at my college hostel.

+3 years Advanced Exchange Warranty.....extendable to 5 years advanced exchange

I own this piece already,but find the gloss a bit straining while play in my well lit room,I need to shift my viewing angle at times during Gaming..but Interestingly Gloss + 2MP webcam was the reason I had bought it!!!

AfterThoughts:

a)lesser response time on Ultrasharp 2009W is not an issue for me,,basically bcoz It's 5ms(black/white) while the SP2008WFP measures 2ms in terms of Gray to Gray giving it a bit of edge!

 

Iam totally enthralled with the Bright Pixel Warranty on the 2009W (dunno,,if it covers Dead Pixel too???)

but then i would miss the SP2008WFP's 2MP Webcam !!!

 

c)cost difference is not an issue....!!!

If you love glossy screens then the SP2208WFP is THE monitor you should look at. I have it and i can barely see any reflections on the screen as it is bright and vibrant with colors.

1)Yes, for screens < 50" you won't notice a significant difference b/t 720p and 1080p.

2)Contrast ratio is important as brightness is usually set by default.

3)depends for what purpose you require the display:

gaming : <=2ms is ideal

others : <=5ms

4)Again, go for the glossy one

5)92% color gamut is the ability for monitors to properly display all color variations as accurate as possible.

screenshots thread contains mainly pc games,,and visual feel would differ on the screen for different gfx cards...so no way to differentiate wich display is actually the best!

dude if your console gets banned your internet connection is a sitting duck thenn ofcourse you can use it to download the games....

i will suggest stay legit..buy 2 games people are selling classics for 700 bucks like gears...Halo3 for 1200..

 

these two games should keep you busy for long...after that sell one add some cash buy a second hand here and so on...

 

But this is a second hand console so stay away from modding atleast for 5-6 months...

And he told me that not all games would play on my pal system(i'm not quite sure of this,but would confirm with th seller,coz I couldnt find anything like pal or ntsc,neither on the box nor the bill)

while all would play on a NTSC console,,i dont understand this,,because pal is supposd to be region-free!

I've bought a 2nd hand Xbox 360 from a local dealer,bt unfortunately,dat mofo dint hav any games,,

n nw i'm left wid 3300rs and 35-40 days warranty left on the x360+2yrs RROD!

i would buy XBL card,,fr 1 mnth(so 350 gone,,remaining,,3000 only)

I tried to open the console,but couldnt open it completely,,warranty is not void,i can say it with 70:30 chances,as I have took M$ sticker on faceplate(with black letters embeded and bit of silvery background peeled off,,but that's nt much ov a problem cause i'll paste it again at the same place,cleanly)

OPTION 1:

So now I need a XCM Xbox 360 unlock kit(costing around 150 bucks) and Via Sata card(350 bucks)

cause I want to mod it myself,considering the firmware being updated often!

(Also,some say it's fr 1500,n sum it's fr 2800 on GI-If i get it softmoded frm a dealer)

And i'll buy Verbatim DL Dvds,,n i hav LG Dvd writer,,vil burn games dwnloaded frm net on slowest speed,,makin foolproof backups!

And in both these ways I can protect frm bein banned on XBL!

 

Option2:

I buy second hand game dvds frn GI,but that again would be a costly affair for me considering my budget.

Personally Iam more inclined for option1,Cause anyway I've to shell out 1350 per month fr broadband charges(512k),coz peopl say 256K(fr 750 pm) causes lags...

and i wont be able to bridge the costs fr original game dvds...
