Don't know if i am posting it in right place so posting it at multiple places

    Thanking in advance.

In-case of a monitor go for a bigger size, as per your budget, as you will be gaming on console only and you aren't looking for more than 60hz. I know you won't be using a couch but you will be using a controller so you don't necessarily need to sit too close on the desk itself. Plus 4K resolution would do justice on a 32inch instead of 27inch.

TV is also a great option for console gaming as it's cheaper, but try to extend budget or reduce size and go for a good brand like Samsung/Sony/LG instead of chinese or local brands, as the picture quality and UI is far far superior. Don't fall for gimmicky applications and services on the chinese/local ones.

There are far too many options in the 4k 60Hz category for a recommendation, so i would suggest to check out the inventory of few good retailers like MDComputers, Vedant, IT Wares, IT Depot etc. and narrow down as per brand, warranty support and budget.

In the market for a 1440p 144hz monitor for PC gaming.

Is the Samsung G7 (27in)  worth it? If not can people list other options plz

Good monitor. Most reviews i had seen were good. Some long term reliability and dead pixel complaints but depends on your piece. If you are ok with the curve, i personally find samsung displays to be really good. Look premium as well. Check warranty and return policy if buying online, in-case of a faulty piece.

Did you make any progress on this? I am looking to upgrade to a nicer router with wifi 6 and other bells and whistles. But before making the jump I want to know how much of a hassle the bridging process is going to be.

Yes i got the router bridged the very next day. For people with  airtel connection the process is actually simple which i will lay down below, if any one needs it in future, but the problem is the ignorance/lack of knowledge/money skimming directive of the airtel executives. Their attitude might vary from location to location but i went through all types of executives to finally get the right solution.

Here are the 'right' steps for latest airtel fiber connection:

    - Get your connection setup with their router and test it for few days. Once you are sure the connection is stable call airtel and ask them to bridge any 1 port on your router.

    - This is  done at the backend and there is absolutely no need for any executive to visit your place.

    - Only 1 port will be bridged i.e other ports become useless (not detected on lan).

    - Once its done, airtel executive will call and inform you.

    - Change mode from "router" to "bridge" in your airtel router settings.

    - Connect the bridged port to the WAN port of your main (self bought) router. Input the WAN log-in id & password (if you don't know, ask airtel executive) in your main router settings.

There is no need of changing any other settings or static ip. My airtel router shows "red" light i.e offline indication when in bridge mode. That's normal.

As for why you need bridge mode on your airtel router instead of connecting your main router via any other mode is because you would want to access all features of your main router and that can only happen when your main router is the primary router (afaik).

    Hope this helps.

Don't think that's true. I know people have bridged routers without paying a dime.

Not true. Bridging can be done without static IP. But I am not sure if there is any restriction from Airtel's end. They setup weird gateways.

Today another executive came home to bridge their router. All he did was change the connection type in airtel router to "bridge" from previous "router" mode and changed the WAN id password in my asus router settings. It did not do jacksh*t. Internet stopped working and he absolutely had no clue what else to do and said he will discuss with the team and return later. lol. He just wanted me to accept that it cannot happen and make do with their router. If this is the level of incompetence in a firm like airtel i can't imagine what other ISP customers must be going through.

  4. Hey guys, i recently got a new airtel xstream connection and everything is working great. But i want to use my Asus router instead of the Airtel one. I read online that the way to do it is bridge the Airtel one. I have no knowledge in this regard. Online articles are not very clear. Does any one have link to a step by step guide/video? and do we have to inform airtel to enable any LAN port as bridge? Details would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

  5. Guys, for fibre connection does anyone have experience with tata play? i have option to choose between tata play and airtel. Currently using you broadband since last eternity (more than a decade) lol.

Any feedback on both these connections would be great.

And how is the router provided by these companies? i already bought the asus RT-AX82U so don't really need it, but they would be providing it anyway.

Thinking of getting a new monitor. lg gl850 is sounding good to me especially with the gsync.

Is this a good monitor for PS5 as well?

Good 2K monitor for that price range. Usually people prefer bigger size monitors/TVs for consoles but if you are ok with the size and resolution i don't see why it would be a problem with PS5. It doesn't have good HDR though.

get a cheap network switch for this, i guess tplink makes consumer ones.

Yes can do that. Thanks. But still need suggestion for a good wifi6 router with mesh support for future-proofing. I can see a few from tplink (without mesh) and asus seem to be a bit pricey but wanted to know if going for asus under the 10k range would make any sense?

  8. Need suggestions for a reliable wifi6 router preferably with mesh support. Need 8 LAN ports if possible. Area to be covered roughly 1300sqft.

Budget preferably upto 6k. Can extend if no good options available in that range.

  9. Finally! Hope they one-up every other game in the graphics department, like before! Would be cool to test the new RTX cards to their limits :bandit: :fear:

So i have been looking around monitors and increased m budget a bit to get a 2k monitor as i have a gtx970 which on specs page shows it can do 2560x1440 @60 and 4k60, now i have seen 2 good monitors online which are

but i don't think my old card can get best out of any of these models so which 2k monitor should i get, i feel like if i get a 1080p now then I'll be stuck with a dated tech for years to come, i want 2k for media enjoyment as well, what to do ?

No matter what hardware you may currently own, everyone needs to upgrade some day. So if you have the budget you should go for 2K monitor.

Model will depend on your budget and priorities. First and foremost fix your budget range. There will always be a better monitor for few quids more. Set a hard budget limit and go for the best in that range.

To select the best for you, decide the specs hierarchy as per your needs. Refresh rate, dimensions, overall rating, warranty support in India, response time, gsync/freesync support, type of panel etc.

Hello, I am looking for recommendation for a office chair with good lumbar support. My back has started for last couple of weeks so want to get it soon before it comes a problem. Anything in the range of 20K?

After a lot of research, i got the Optima High back chair 1 year back, for gaming and working on the PC.

    Sturdy construction.

    Fit and finish is top-notch.

    Smoothness of wheels is unmatched.

    Tons of adjustability options.

No sweating due to mesh construction. Mesh quality is also great.

One of the very few rare office chairs with enough height and width support for 6'+ guys like me.

Slightly on the expensive side if compared to regular market office chairs.

I realised that i do not like mesh support and prefer full support.

It is around your budget of 20K. Hope it helps.

What is this secret Hardcode difficulty you speak of? Do you mean Heroic? :P

Yes, the open world will reset since you're starting a new campaign. You can resume a campaign save on a different difficulty without resetting the world.

Oh yes i meant heroic. So if i start a new game will i get an option to choose a different save location? I mean, i'm playing on PC, and i can see 3 different save slots with 2 slots empty and only 1 getting used for the current campaign. So if i can choose a different slot i can keep 2 game runs playable concurrently.

  13. Managed to get the door open by restarting the entire mission. Finished the campaign on hardcore. Now if we restart the campaign on different difficulty, will the entire open world also reset?

  14. Has anyone else faced an issue with the door not opening for the

skull? I tried 6 times without

killing or hitting a single sentinel. I went full pacifist mode as well, just grappling throughout the rooms.

No matter what i do the door just won't open!  I'm currently playing on hardcore.

Hi guys. I recently bought the Gigabyte M27Q monitor that supports upto 170Hz refresh rate @ 2560 x 1440.

Dual-link DVI supports 2560×1600 resolution and 144hz refresh rates. But no use, as the monitor doesn't have a DVI port.

    GTX 750Ti has hdmi 1.4 i guess, so it will support 1920x1080 @120Hz, 2560x1440 @60Hz, 3840x2160 @30Hz & 4096x2160 @24Hz.

If you are facing stuttering while playing youtube videos check your browser settings like in Chrome you can disable hardware acceleration.

Try this:  Win+R -> %localappdata% -> in the AppData/Local folder delete IconCache.db file, then go to Task Manager and restart Windows Explorer. See if this fixes the issue.

It did work. Hope it lasts. I did delete the localCache.db file before and did a system restart but that didn't work. So maybe restarting Windows Explorer from the task bar after deleting the file works.

I had also tried moving the icons outside the folders (on the desktop) and all icons except 1 had re-appeared. But when i shifted them inside the folders, they again went blank after 2-3 reboots.

Hope i don't have to keep deleting the Icon cache file intermittently.

  17. Some of the shortcut icons on my desktop have become white/blank. I tried numerous online solutions but nothing seems to work.

When i formatted my PC and re-installed windows 10  sometime back, the problem seemed to go away for few days and has started occurring again. So it's definitely some Windows 10 glitch.

The icons only disappear when moved to a folder on the desktop. And only a few icons do that. This is some weird-a$$ glitch.

Has anyone else faced this issue or something similar? Did anything work?

    Thanks in advance.

Mine too works fine when the load is low but when load is around 470W+ mark and there is power cut, the system restarts. Don't know where the problem is, just noticed this behavior couple of days ago.

At what setting have you set the Sensitivity of the UPS? High, Medium or Low?

Yeah. Mine works fine. Gives around 15-20 mins of backup for both TV and PS5.

I have a UPS inverter which does the same thing. When i'm not gaming, it switches instantly and the system and TV keeps running after power cut. But recently when i was in a heavy gaming season the system shut down and restarted after power cut. So instead of surge protector, now i'm thinking of going for a UPS. I read that online UPS are the best as they provide true sine wave and there is no "switch-over" involved. Have shortlisted APC Online UPS 1kVA SRC1KI-IN with internal batteries. But it's super expensive. It has 800W rating and 90% efficiency. Other alternative is BR1500G, which you guys have, which is an offline UPS but cheaper than the 1st one. Although its not a true sine wave UPS instead a stepped approximation to a sinewave.

    Confused between the two.

Inverters these days do have UPS mode, but in that mode the voltage range drops from 100-300v to 180-260V. This is not good in areas where there is frequent voltage fluctuations or blacks outs. For e.g. if the line voltage drops below 180 the inverter will switch over to the battery and this will keep happening again and again. This will drain the inverter battery sooner and there won’t be any back up left when the power actually fails. It’s always better to equip the Computer with its dedicated UPS and let inverter take care of the whole house.

Both for high end pc. Belkin or GM surge protector + appropriate VA UPS shall do the job.

So APC offline UPS would do the job or online UPS would be better?
