u know why..skimming the market
lcds and leds would always be brighter cz that's how they get their contrast ratios and that is why they look better in stores. plasma tech is only old cz it uses more energy but with this year's models pana has done quite a bit in that area too. and yea.. they aren't as good lookin as lcds unless u hav a beo
but when it comes to pic quality, black levels and response times.. the things which matter to me.. plasma wipes the plate. i dunno but to me a pic on lcd or plasma always looks artificial so in a sense they're better for text and still stuff

Well, sometimes the powercuts in Blore extends for a good 4-5 hours. I usually play on my PS2 in those times, but if I can get a console+LCD running....it would be awesome

yup. I wanted to try it but the strategy part put me off. Even when the pricebuster here offered it for 1299, i spent countless hours on GT-youtube watching vids of VC but never mustered the courage to pick it up.
