Is it safe to use lcd tv as a monitor for long usage hours? Any chance of burns on the screens when the tv is idle. Planning to buy a monitor/lcd for both pc and ps3

off course I won;t buy it in UK. The problem is that my dad might go (not sure) to US in October. So may well have to buy it then.
Another thing I have noticed that dell laptop prices in USA and India don't have much difference in price. What will be the wise thing to do?
