@heaven angel i understand that but i still think getting a 8 core 16 thread i.e. ryzen 7 1700 cpu is an overkill as those 2 cores 4 threads will always be idle.
You can even ask him. His cpu will never clock more than 40% at full load.

@zibalingz
i7-7700k is a 4 core 8 thread cpu.
Ryzen 5 1600x is a 6 core 12 thread cpu.
i think you didn't get my point.
For any type of gaming be it 1440p/1080p/2160p ,a processor with more cores and more threads is not always a best choice. As currently most games run on 4 cores 8 threads cpu.
So getting a cpu with 8 core 16 threads is not a wise decision. Because the higher resolution you will try to achieve the load will shift from your cpu to your gpu.
For 1080p gaming @ 60 fps
i7-7700k will perform better than ryzen 5 1600x, there is no doubt about that.
For 2160p gaming @ 60fps (4k)
i7-7700k & Ryzen 5 1600x performs almost same. And in some games ryzen 5 1600x outperforms i7-7700k.
So that's why i am asking you to do some more research on no. of cores required for gaming. I am not asking you to compare intel vs amd.
P.S.- i am not a fan boy. I am making my first build. So i am only choosing the best available for me. As i am only interested in a gaming build. Also
A 4 core 8 thread from intel cost ₹23k
A 6 core 12 thread from intel cost ₹49k
A 6 core 12 thread from amd cost ₹19k
A 8 core 16 thread from amd cost ₹40k
A 8 core 16 thread from intel cost ₹90k
So tell me why should i spend more than twice or more where the gaming visuals are independent of the cpu cores and threads ?

Yeah got it. Will let you know.

@alpha17 do you have an office address or something ?
Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk -
Okay. Pm me your number i will contact you. Where do you stay?

@alpha17 lol thanx for that little detail as well ! [emoji23]

@pixeljunkie as you can see i am not spending this much money to be on a conservative sides. I want everything maxed out

but sure will try this if i run into any problems!

@alpha17 i chose 570x because i want to try my hands on liquid cooling in future. Hence that space will be vital for me.
About psu, people referred me a 650W supply as it will be enough considering i use one 1080 ti.
About ram i am going with 2 8gb 3200 ddr4. Still to make up my mind over the brand.
Yes i already have ssd and hdd.
I am based in new delhi. And thanx for the offer bro but i am looking to build my own rig.

Thanx joe cool and athek for your inputs. Means a lot to me. [emoji120]

So one gtx 1080 ti will be able to give me 60+ fps consistently?

I have a tv which takes an input of 4k @ 60 hz. Let's drop this tv topic altogether.
About the setup i really don't want to change the processor. As ryzen 5 1600x is a 6 core 12 thread cpu and cost ₹4-5k less than 7700k which is ₹23k and a 4 core 8 thread cpu.
I also read that most games are playable at 4 cores 8 threads. And on 4k resolution the cores does not even matter as long as you have a minimum 4 core 8 thread cpu. As the load is on the gpu, i checked some 4k benchmarks of some games as well and found out that i7-7700k and ryzen 5 1600x performed almost equally or ryzen 5 1600x outperforming i7-7700.
Ryzen 5 support ddr4-3200 memory. So i think 3600 may not be supported. Right?
I will consider your mobo inputs and will get back to you. I chose gigabyte because it has dual bios design.
The rest ssd, hdd, mouse and keyboard i have that. Might have to check the PSU again.
650W will be enough? (Sorry this is my first gaming build, i used to be play on console before)

@zibalingz you should check a lot more about cpu. because @ 4k resolutions the load is on gpu not on cpu. so investing more on a gpu is better. moreover most games run flawlessly on a 4 core 8 thread cpu. Getting a 8 core 16 thread cpu is overkill for a gaming setup. the sweet spot of cpu for gaming is between 4 cores 8 thread to 6 core 12 thread only. after that there is not a big difference. Yes ryzen 5 1600x is 6 core 12 thread.
about the GPU i agree someone told me the same about the SLI. i guess i will stick to one 1080 ti only then. Also yes i do know about the screen input lag but that is not a concern for the time being. Making a 4k gaming pc is.
P.S.- I mean no disrespect. Thank you for your input.

@Joe Cool i understand that display lag number of my current tv is not good. but previously i used to game on a tv which had an unknown display lag. So the current one is surely an upgrade. But if it comes to screen tearing then i will buy a new monitor or replace the current tv with a better one. But currently i am not concerned about a screen. Must have a 4k gaming PC is a first.
I heard about this SLI thing but wasn't sure about it. Thanx man you helped me save 68k.
Anything else you will recommend ?

will a single 1080 ti will be enough for 4k @ 60 fps? My tv supports 60 hz refresh rate only. @Joe Cool
P.S. i have checked the difference between the monitor and tv. the only difference is display lag. on my tv display lag is average i think it's around 30-40ms. I am not looking to go beyond 60 fps anyway. But need a bigger screen to play. hence tv. -
Hey guys, i am building my own 4k gaming system under 2 lakhs. below is a list of components which i have come across and found out that it is suitable for 4k gaming. Is there anything else better which i can get then do let me know. Tell me about your 4k rigs. Please ignore the cost of other components like mouse, keyboard, monitor, hdd as i will be using them from my previous pc.
1.Processor-AMD Ryzen 5 1600X (18,950)
2.MOBO- GA-AX370-Gaming K5(18,200)
3.GPU-ZOTAC GRAPHICS CARD PASCAL SERIES - GTX 1080 Ti 11GB GDDR5X AMP EXTREME (68,400)x2=1,36,8004.RAM- 16 GB DDR4 (11,000)
5.Case- Corsair crystal 570X (13,720)
total cost-1,98,670
P.S.- i have a 4k tv. -

@heaven angel oh if he do video editing and stuff then yes that processor is perfect for him.
But i am just making a build purely for gaming. Might install ubuntu/steamOS only. I won't even buy windows.
