Quite a sharp burst of rain last evening in Navi Mumbai, on the way back home. Extremely windy too, so the rain hits you in pulses and its loud. Very poor visibility and chutya motorcyclists riding without headlights.

What's a good card for travel (train/flight/hotel) bookings? Preferably something that also doesn't incur fuel surcharge. Not many. Only some 800 points left. I regularly used the points to pay for mobile recharges and Zomato purchases. Don't think the points would transfer over anyways.

Everyone and their dog got some fever/cold/cough within the past two weeks here. Some of them diagnosed Covid. A friend started coughing blood after 6-7 days of cough. A relative's baby in ICU for 3 days due to pneumonia. There is also a Swine flu surge at the moment. Huge dahi handi celebrations expected tomorrow.

Never mind WTC, this was a once in a generation opportunity to win a series in England and we threw it away. Much of the blame lies on poor batsmanship for not being able to set a bigger target but bowling hasn't been much better and I wouldn't trust them to defend 450 from here.

Every Indian Test cricketer should be playing some domestic FC cricket every season. Instead of playing useless bilateral T20s or ODIs at home against Sri Lanka they should be released.

Sometimes it doesn't happen. Even Sehwag was such a great in Tests but just about good in ODIs. Solid recovery. Need to keep going, no score seems big enough.

Ridiculous run chase by England. 160 to win in the last session, 6 wickets left. Bairstow and Stokes added 133 in 11.3 overs. Chased down with 20+ overs left.
