Rahane's place is not in doubt. He scored a hundred in his very last match. Unless we want to play an extra bowler at the cost of a batsman, and even then I expect Rohit to be dropped.
Vijay did well in South Africa, but didn't do much in New Zealand. It could be possible that he is dropped. Gambhir's experience will cme in handy as everyone else is touring England for the first time.

Suggest me some good anime. Any genre would do.

Would have loved if it was a 5 day first class game, not a limited overs match. But then I doubt the retired players (and Shaun Tait) would have been fit enough for that.

From about 1996 to 2011 we did very well on our away tours. There have been some famous wins at Headingley, Adelaide, Perth, Jo'burg, Cape Town.
The rot started on the last day of the West Indies tour. We had to chase 180 in little over a session. With an hour to go we were 94/3. 86 runs needed in 90 balls, plenty of wickets left. Rahul Dravid was at the crease. And what did MS Dhoni do? Went to the opposing captain and settled for a draw.
That's not what champions are supposed to do. There was no harm in going for a chase, had we lost quick wickets we still could have seen through the game.
After that we have lost 4-0 in England and Australia, and 1-0 in South Africa and New Zealand. I expect something similar in this series as well. Maybe if we're lucky we cans ave a couple of matches.

Thas been a great series. Could have been 1-0 for England, or it could have been 1-1.
Sri Lanka held their nerve and deservedly won.
It's like Ashes 2005, except that there were just 2 Tests here instead of 5

Bravo Anderson.. pity he couldn't finish off the job
Well played Moeen Ali
-
Absolutely ridiculous. Stupid clueless people.
There should have been an arrest warrant on him for settling for a draw in the West Indies in 2011 when we could have attempted a chase.

Great match going on between England and Sri Lanka. If rain can take out even more time from the game, England can save this. Root and Ali have done well to survive the first hour, then the rain took away another. Just 2 sessions to go.

What time is the race today?

Stuart Broad takes a hattrick.
Only the
3rd4th player to have 2 Test hattricks. -

Who is going to telecast this match in india??
It's on Star Sports... They've been showing ads for the last couple of weeks.
Abey aise nahin bolte....bahar kaun dekhta hain...aane do Aus/Eng walon ko India...saara badla yaha le lenge

We lost to England last time at home

Rahane, uthappa, rayudu all good for IPL Indian pitches, Maro saalon ko.
Rahane scored a hundred in New Zealand. And 2 fifties in South Africa. His average away from home is 62
Definitely should play all 5 Tests in England. There aren't many who can match his quality

Kirk Edwards just hit one on the roof. The ball has been changed.
This reminds me of the New Zealand vs West Indies match when West Indies were chasing 291 and were 157/1 at one point.
Chris Gayle hit one out of the ground and the ball was changed. Bond came back and turned the match around. NZ won by 27 runs.

Great match. We're seeing a lot of dramatic draws off late.
Herath might have not reviewed because he was probably unaware of the rule. The same thing happened this year in the final South Africa vs Australia Test. Philander reviewed and was gicen not out as his glove was not in contact with the bat handle.
if it was india in similar position we'd have lost it
That has already happened once. In the first Test of the 2007 series vs England we had one wicket left. Sreeshant and Dhoni were the last 2 men. There was an appeal for lbw against Sreeshant (and he was out) but the umpire didn't give him. There was no DRS back then. Very soon rain arrived and the match was drawn. We went on to win the series.

A full strength Mumbai team would easily beat Bangladesh.
Bangladesh would be lucky to escape with a draw. They don't deserve their Test status.
I don't know what they're complaining about this team being weak. Pujara and Rahane both have first class averages of 60+. If these Banglas played in the Ranji trophy they'd struggle to get averages of 30. A couple of decent players and all of a sudden they think they're good enough to take on the big boys.
-
England are faltering. 117/5 after taking a first innings lead of 122.
Although they need to bat out just one session to be safe.
-
Who would be interested in watching India vs Bangladesh? We should have been practising in England instead of wasting time on such useless tours.
-
Joe Root now has 2 hundreds in 2 tests at Lord's
-
Man it's so crowded here today

Everyone is roaming in Liverpool T shirts

They only allowed 2 fans to attend the event.

Predictions for the England tour?
-
Well there's almost 60 games to play next season, so there should be atleast 4 quality strikers in the squads. Man City have 4 and they still can't manage to do well in all competitions at the same time.
Lambert could come off the bench and score a few important goals, or be a starter if either of SAS is injured. Rodgers will no longer have to drastically change formations because of injury to a striker. Would be good to have him in the FA and League Cups.
-
Wow never seen anyone who was this happy signing for us. Maybe except Fowler in 2006.
-
Not very surprised by Narine's decision to choose IPL over the Test series. Playing Test cricket for West Indies doesn't seem to be worth it anymore.
If it was an English/Aussie player they'd have chosen the Tests.
WICB could have been a little more lenient in their approach. He would have arrived a day late but still a week before the first Test, that was enough time for him to get prepared.

Jamie Carragher will be in Pune on June 3rd to inaugurate the LFC Academy.

England bowled out Sri Lanka for 67 yesterday. Not so excited about the 5 Test series now.

England fan for this series. I hope MS Dhoni gets whitewashed 5-0 again. Can't really tolerate such mediocrity.
