They are doing this painfully slowly. I saw a vaccine van here a month ago. However they were using only 4 vaccination centres (all govt. hospitals) for the whole of KDMC. That's a stupid idea from the start. Use schools. They are empty and they can handle large numbers of people at a time. With just 500 health workers (vnot that hard to find in a city this big) administering vaccines full time they could complete giving every resident 2 doses within 2 months (only constraint being supply of vaccines).

Pant needs to be a little less reckless. Just drive and cut along the ground until there's 4-5 overs left. You wouldn't bat so recklessly in a ODI with this situation so why in a Test where you don't even need the runs? Sundar looking good so far.

Umpire's call itself is fine, the margins are stupid. They count from the bottom of the bail instead of the top or middle.

There was one in the morning. Ball was taking out the bail but the margins for umpire's call are stupid so it stayed not out.

Bad shot to get out for Rahane, it never looks good when you do that, but valuable innings nonetheless. Kept the chase alive when it looked likely that we would shut shop, and it has allowed Pant to bat patiently and not fall into Lyon's trap.

We have everything in our favour here. Should go for a win but no need to be over aggresive like Adelaide 2013-14. Just keep the scoreboard ticking (that will happen as long as Pant stays there) until the equation is 75-80 required from 15 overs with 6-7 wickets left.

In this case Vihari was injured. So many 1s and 2s were lost to this. If runners were allowed, situation might have been different. Australia realised the chase was not possible and brought their field close. With a field with such little gaps, taking a single is as hard as getting boundaries. Pujara might still have been able to keep it alive but he got out with more than half the day left. After that it was all about defending. In the end we fell 73 runs short. I don't see how we would have covered those many runs.

Nothing better than a shady bar with cricket. What a great effort by Vihari and Ashwin to save this match. Aussie bowlers were just physically and mentally tired in the end. Now on to the Gabba, Australia's favourite venue.

If Vihari can finish this session with 15* (150) he'll be a hero to me.

The margins are very stupid. It would be one thing it the ball was barely flicking the bails and the umpire's call stood. But even when the ball is fully taking the bail out, it's still being held up as umpire's call. 50% is too much.
