  1. Nope! IDM couldn't rebuild the files at the end. Downloaded it twice, didn't work. Not worth the risk!

Anyway, there are other ways! You can find a coupla torrents and direct links of the game online and install it with Powershell. I will PM you the links tomorrow if you can't find em.

Mods: It requires license in order to get it working. It's not piracy in anyway! Just a diff method to download the files!

  2.

He did mention about it here..Then Joe warned him saying that it works for one time only..So i'm not sure if he actually did it but he wanted to..

I did like the game and found it very addictive, but after the first update the performance worsened for me and there was a massive input lag which made it unplayable. So I got my refund and bought Gears 4.

  3. Yup...

@The Panda please post your benchmark of the game running at ultra 1080p.

My pc spec is identical to your spec.

Okay mate! Give me an hour.

  4. People are still selling/buying Nvidia keys? I know they got re-activated but seriously, stay away from them unless you're getting one for free.

What? Even the ones that were revoked by MS?

  5. Weird. Panda and everyone else downloaded it without any issues on PC. .

Still 36 GB to download mate! :-/

    Ram Dante,

If you don't mind spending extra bucks to speed up your download process...just buy these BSNL Top Up Packs like I did/do. 20 GB for 500 INR. Restores your speed to 8 Mbps and after it's over, back to 1 Mbps. Amount will be added to your current month's bill.

So basically he cannot download it on 1 Mbps line cause it'll take more than 8 hrs to download the entire data.

    ^^ Issue resolved. :-]

  6.

BSNL 1091 plan.. 60GB FUP 8Mbps / Post 1Mbps.. I wasted all of that FUP on the first failed attempt.. Now, I still have 40GB left to download :/

Actually, before starting the 2nd attempt, I tried that reddit/fiddler stuff.. It went well for a day, and then after pausing and resuming a day later, it showed 403 error :(

You did not follow the instructions clearly mate. -_-

As said in the tutorial, the link expires after 8 hours.

    So...

    1. Resume/restart the download on Windows Store.
    2. Copy the URL from Fiddler
    3. Replace the address of the IDM d/l file with the latest URL
    4. Resume the download.
    5. Done!

This is what I've been doing all the day!

  7. I am still downloading on my puny 1Mbps connection.. :/

Will take at least another week to complete, if windows store doesn't reset my download that is... X_X

Mate...try this method if it fails again (hopefully it doesn't).

How to download Windows Store Apps through IDM:

    1. Download and install Fiddler

    2. Open Fiddler and click on WinConfig

    3. Find the checkbox for Store and check it and then proceed to start Forza Horizon 3 Download on Microsoft Store

    4. In Fiddler, check the traffic for a large amount of requests to a Microsoft website. Right click one and click Copy -> Just URL. If you do not know what to look for, see this example

    5. After copying the link, close Fiddler, cancel the download in the Store and paste the link into your web browser or a download manage and let it complete.I personally used the good old Internet Download manager to download the 49GB file

DO NOT PAUSE THE DOWNLOAD OR ELSE IT'LL RESTART AGAIN

    6. When the download is complete and you're back on your target PC (with the downloaded .Appx/.EAppx). Start the download of Forza Horizon 3 from the Windows Store on this PC, but pause it after about 10 MB. This is so your PC obtains the licence information for the game so it can activate on first launch. After that is done, pause the download and close the Store

    7. Navigate to the folder where the 49GB Eappx file is located, and then start powershell by going to File, Open Windows PowerShell, Open Windows PowerShell as administrator

I'm just using the path to Microsoft Edge as an example

    8. In the Powershell window type the following (hint: rename the install package to something short beforehand) Then just wait for the install to finish (If you want to install somewhere other than C: drive, go to Settings -> System -> Storage and change the install drive under 'New apps will save to:')

      add-appxpackage ForzaHorizon3.EAppx

    9. where ForzaHorizon3.EAppx can be anything that you renamed the EAppx file to beforehand

    10. Launch Forza Horizon 3 from the Start Menu. Provided your PC meets the requirements, it should work.

I am currently downloading the game via IDM. Getting rocksteady ~900 KB/sec.

    Also, what's your ISP?

  9. Performance is just atrocious! Coming to graphics, at times, it felt like I was playing a high-res PS2 game. No kidding! Worst of all, is the lighting. What the hell were they thinking? Overall, it's a LOT worse than Unity. Seems like the devs are very inexperienced!

Now positives: Story seems to be much more interesting than Mafia 2. Great voice-acting too! I am also loving the gameplay! I don't care about Radio soundtrack, but the score makes everything better! Level-design...haven't played enough missions, but not frustrating.

Just requires a good amount of polishing! So, aside from these "fixable" (hopefully) annoyances, I am enjoying the game! :)
