  1. It was a decent watch again, ya the movie felt more stitched and fluid. That said it was tough to sit through the second time, and probably I will never watch it the third time. The final fight with doomsday still feels meh, and Martha crap is well more crap.

    I rate it a final 6.5/10.

Yeah, it was aimed at hardcore fans and critics (the latter part failed miserably, as we all know, but at least there's Ultimate Cut to please the former group). No wonder it did not catch the attention of casual movie goers (just like Watchmen).

It's not your typical summer blockbuster movie. I think MCU will continue to earn more money at box-office and I don't see it changing anytime soon. I am actually fine with it as long as DCEU continues to produce some meaningful ones. It may not attract huge crowd, but it will definitely help the brand in future.

  2. The 3 points that keep the movie from achieving greatness:

    1. Lex Luthor performance

    2. Martha sh*t lol

    3. That Superman Batman encounter when that Do you bleed dialogue takes place. That felt so out of place and stupid

Rest all is fine. I liked Justice League setup.

Don't have much to say about the Martha thing, but I agree with you on their first encounter. It felt awkward and unintentionally hilarious, but I can see why they put it there. It's there for a reason. Superman sees him as a ruthless murderer/dictator. Hence he warns him - Consider this mercy. It helps the fight and explains why he starts fighting him rather than just do the talking. Because words don't stop him, only a fist - as shown in the trailer already. He needs to be put down first and Superman does this twice (which got edited out), but stubborn Bats gets up every time. He warns him for the last time, gives him a valid reason, Bats doesn't listen, so he fights him, but sadly gets rekt.

  3. Finished it. Fck the editing. They edited out goddamn plot points lol.

Luthor's plot seems so fleshed out. Superman scenes were cut unnecessarily SMH.

Yeah, Luthor comes off as a much more powerful villain. Although I liked Jesse's performance, I am doubtful if he could pull off the classic persona. They have to change a lot of things, but hey, at least they are willing to take risks. It's going to be much more interesting. Nobody would've dared to tell a story like this with iconic characters like Batman and Superman. Zack did and I think, they couldn't be in a better movie together, especially after watching Ultimate Edition. I'd give it a solid 8/10.

Very excited for his Justice League. Hope he stays!

  4.

Ignore Aftrunner. Don't listen to him. He is just another blind hater on the internet.

Coming to Batman v Superman, Ultimate Edition is vastly superior to whatever we got in theaters in almost every way! It's one of the finest Superhero movies out there. Stay away from theatrical cut as far as you can. Half of the stuff in it won't make any sense! Warner Bros. got greedy and f**ked it up big time! You wouldn't want to buy an inferior product, would you?

Just pick up the Ultimate Edition and be done.

  5. Completed watching the Ultimate Edition just now. Few thoughts (No BS):

Almost every issue with this film has now been fixed including some minor ones. It is now, completely, a Superman film. His ending actually makes sense and you care about him. Re-arranging and adding those extra scenes changed the entire outlook of the film for me. It's not at all convoluted in any sense. Batman isn't the main focus here as the theatrical cut made it out to be, he's just playing a part of an epic story. Lois, to my surprise, has the same importance and screen time as the Bats if not more, don't ask me. I liked her!

It's probably one of the best Superhero movies. Maybe right up there with the Dark Knight trilogy! Poor Zack. Anyway, hyped for Justice League now! For real.

    OT:

Anybody here know how to remove DRM from iTunes? :P

Where did you come from mate? You must be new. These are the essential things to capture the attention and survive the internet - Dark is not at all fun. It's too edgy and deep. We don't like such things. We are not some teenagers, are we! Superhero movies should always be fun and light-hearted. It's the holy path and only key to success. Try anything darker, broodier and more complex, you are done; even if it is in the nature of its characters and their world. Try making it lighter, you are still done! It's our thing and you cannot copy it. There's a lot of hard work behind it. Otherwise, we will rip you apart.

Another important thing to keep in mind is hating Zack Snyder as it makes us look cool in front of others. 300 and Watchmen, his only decent and revolutionizing flicks, worked only because he lifted the source material panel by panel. He put no more effort, and even if he did, we simply ignore it. It's the mantra. Understood mate?

    It is releasing officially tomorrow.

Pre-ordered it on iTunes. Can't wait to tare it apart with my intellectual superiority! :smokey:

Where did you watch it before release m8? :naughty:

  7. And there goes the movie. Stupid Marvel crap in DC movies FML.

It was all part of the plan though! Take a look:

At that moment, I thought, “I’m not done with this yet. I want to go back and keep telling the story.” “Batman v Superman” is a bit of an “Empire Strikes Back” or “Two Towers” or any similar middle film in a trilogy. The middle film tends to be the darkest one. I do think from “Man of Steel” through “Justice League,” it is one saga really.

I expect “Justice League” will be tonally not quite as dark as “Batman v Superman.” From that point of view, I felt compelled to go back and try to lift us and myself into a different tonal place because I think when you write a darker film, sometimes you want to redeem it all a bit. - Chris Terrio (Mar 11, 2016 11:00 am ET)

So, absolutely no need to worry mate! They are not going to turn it into Marvel crap where they quip every freakin' second. gdBtiaM.gif If anything, it will be more along the lines of DC Animated Universe. I believe Batman v Superman, just like Watchmen, is going to age way, way better than any of the Marvel films especially now that the Ultimate Edition has fixed most of the issues. Some scenes change the entire context believe me or not. Moreover, it is worth watching multiple-times unlike, ya know! gdBtiaM.gif

4 more days to go bro! :wink2:

  8. I am getting this glitch in slums level. In my case tess and joel walk like this while bribing the guard, afterwards they walk normally but i cant cross the gallery, there is an invisible wall. Neither i encountered these thugs.

I restarted PS3, restarted level, loaded new save but still no fix. Any ideas what should i do? Should i start from scratch?

Looks like you've got no other option m8 and you are still at the beginning of the game. No harm in trying it.
