he is also nicknamed Thor -- cause OF COURSE HE IS.
he was a budding basket ball player before had a knee injury (ending his career in that sport) in his teens and took the totally not crazy decision of seriously lifting heavy stuff after a big joint injury..
*pictures removed from quote*
I happened to have seen him in a vice tv episode on Giants of Iceland- the tradition of the tiny nation to churn out Strongmen competitors like it was a conveyor belt produce

The reason he's nicknamed Thor is mainly cause his name, "Hafþór" is pronounced Halfthor. His surname is pronounced as Beyornson
The literal translation of his name from Icelandic to English is Ocean Thor, Son of Bear. (Also, Thor of the Sea, Son of the Bear.)

If you still didn't buy P3P get P3 FES instead. Price is also a lot less than p3p in PSN.
P3P doesn't have cutscenes and epilogue chapter which is around 20hrs. Some other features like being able to navigate with protagonist outside tartarus, are also cut down to optimize size for a PSP game. Only plus is improved battle system and you also have choice to play as female character.
P3 FES is a Vita game as well? I thought P3P was for the Vita.

Apparently Lena Headey posted this on twitter last week :

Actually, she posted that on Instagram 2 months ago. Or more. She and Pedro Pascal (who plays Oberyn) have become really good friends.
Another good GoT fact - Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson, who plays Gregor Clegane, is 6'9" tall, and weighs 190kg. He is a strongman competitor, and has actually won the Strongest Man in Iceland competition.
And finally, Pedro did an AMA. Pretty good read! http://www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/comments/26gtvt/i_am_actor_pedro_pascal_i_play_oberyn_in_game_of
Edit -
This Instagram post by Pedro is pretty epic as well. http://instagram.com/p/ov11YCnw-U/

Pepe Reina gets the nod ahead of Diego Lopez, cause apparently he brings a lot to the dressing room, and is really good for the morale of the Spanish squad.
I'm actually more surprised that DDG got picked ahead of Diego Lopez. Happy, but still surprised. Maybe Casillas would've hated it if Diego Lopez was called up.

^^ you can watch other things through tabcasting.. and also netflix/hulu (unblock-us)

True, I was talking about directly out of the box.

yeah... I'm gonna try it this weekend, sinceARHD has been giving me trouble. Thanksedit: Looks like the Viper ROM is still based on 4.2.2 and not 4.3?

But yeah, I'll try it out anyway.

edit2: I just checked out a video about the Viper ROM, and it looks great! It has a ton of options and looks quick. Looks like I'll have to try it for sure.

Check out InsertCoin, it's on 4.3, and I'm running it. Quite a good ROM, lots of customization options as well. I haven't run into any trouble with it either.
^^ That's probably because Google wants to get content providers (like cable companies) to support streaming to Chromecast, and maybe position it like the Apple TV. If they allowed support for local files, it would only make it harder for them to negotiate.
Just somebody else's thoughts that I'm using like my own

The Apple TV can stream files from your local network/computer, it can also mirror your Mac/iPhone/iPad displays. It does a LOT more.
I have both the Apple TV and the Chromecast, and I mainly use the latter for Netflix and YouTube. The Apple TV gets a lot more use, simply cause it's better and easier to use.
That said, the Chromecast is an awesome device to watch YouTube on the TV. Don't think there is any other usage scenario for it in India.

Make sure to connect to the 2.5Ghz band. Also, phones usually have a much weaker WiFi antenna compared to tablets and laptops.
My GNexus gives me 2 bars, when the Nexus 7 gives 3/4, and my laptop has 95% strength to the 2.4Ghz, and 75% strength for the 5Ghz band, in the same spot.
-
Try flashing a different modem. Preferably one which someone in India is using without any problems.
Radios/Modems have nothing to do with WiFi. All the main code for WiFi is in the kernel.
-
*snip*
If you really want to get that thing working for your mother, you should be able to get adapters that'll make regular 3.5mm pins work with the SE style..
No adobe flash player support for jelly bean? This sucks!
You can always side load it. Also, try Flash Loader by MoDaCo in the Play Store, that can work as well.

@SFrag: Hmm.. but Apex feels snappier than Nova.
Yeah, I've heard the same. The thing is, Nova is snappy enough, and it's the first one I bought the premium version of, so I'm gonna stick to it.

-
Nova Launcher restores widgets almost flawlessly. Better than any other solution, and it's pretty easy.

Trinity is the better kernel for GNexus, he has enabled a lot of options, whereas with Franco's kernel, you need to buy his $3.80 app to enable options.
Currently running Bugless Beast, which is almost stock, extremely few changes such as extended power menu (reboot to recovery and all that). Can't live without custom kernels though, better SQ, ability to charge from USB at full speed, and most importantly, tuning the screen color reproduction.
Best ROM right now for GNexus is Vanir AOSP, CM10 based ROMs are buggy and right now there is a certain performance problem associated with those ROMs.

One Piece > Toriko = Naruto >>> Bleach.
I find One Piece extremely entertaining and fun to read. The twists in the story are well done, although the Fisherman's arc was a bit straightforward.
Naruto has too many plotholes, especially when it comes to the Uchiha and their powers. Honestly, I find Madara's power absolutely ridiculous, and the whole Edo Tensei extremely stupid. Oh well.
Fairy Tail is decent too, but even that has its share of LOLWUT moments.

Dude, don't quote it and then ask him to put it in spoilers.
My bad. >.<
-
Might want to spoiler it, considering this is the anime thread, not the manga thread.

Yeah. this is 2 parter. On wiki apparently everything goes back to normal in episode 3 itself. Coz the 3rd episode's description is those 2 working together to take down some big criminal. So I wonder how they'll wrap this up in just 1 more episode. Thought it'd take atleast 3 episodes
White Collar S04E01 related.
WHAT? They get the chase/hunt over with in just TWO episodes? And the first one wasn't that great at all.. it was quite sad actually, how they found him. Bah.

The Nexus 7 is a fantastic buy at $200. Easily the best in the price range. The OS itself is a far departure from Honeycomb/ICS on tablets, and with Chrome, it's a beast at browsing. Movies/Books is really good as well, using either Kindle or Play Books. (I use Netflix for video)
About storage, you just need root to make use of USB OTG, using the Stickmount app. But yeah, I highly suggest the 16GB variant if you want to store stuff on it, the 8GB variant only has 5.96GB free, which will reduce after you install your apps.
If you also install games, especially the ones that take up space, the 5.96GB will disappear in no time. Audio Quality is decent, nothing special.
Battery life is pretty decent as well, I got around 7 hours of screen time with auto brightness and Netflix, I guess it'll go to 8 hours of screen time if you're playing off the local storage, but I'm pretty sure that's the max it'll do.
It might be more if the tablet uses the companion core for more tasks, but I think 7-8 hours of screen time is what you should expect.
Also, I have not been able to replicate the ghosting issue that Android Police has brought up. The screen is pretty decent as well, nothing special. All in all, a fantastic buy at $199 or $249. (8/16)
The only Android tablet that I can recommend to others, TBH.

Ok, an update on the Nexus 7 Phone/Tablet UI situation.
Like Shantanugoel said, Android adapts depending on DPI and screen estate, and that's exactly what is happening here. GMail, Calendar, Plume all run in their tablet UI form, whereas GTalk runs in the phone form.
Each app adapts accordingly.
Also, Death Stryke, the Xoom is getting JB update along with the Nexus S and GNex, so you have JB running on all the popular screen resolution and sizes, 4" 800*480, 4.65" 1280*720, 7" 1280*800 and 10.1" 1280*800. As such, apps adapt accordingly for all the sizes, there are even differences between apps on the Nexus S and GNexus, although it's very minute.
Impressed with the Nexus 7 so far, great screen and build, easy and light to hold. It even fits in my pocket, which is a huge plus, from a portability point of view. Haven't tested the battery yet.
Also, it's extremely smooth, I guess the combination of the T30L and 4.1 is to thank for that. No slowdowns at all, even multitasking is instantaneous. It's been extremely stable as well, so far.
My main GNexus is still running AOKP build 40, (ICS) and the I/O GNexus is running JB, and I intend to keep it that way for the next 2-3 weeks in order to properly compare the two. But the improvements in performance is extremely noticeable. The improved animations help a lot too.

I'm pretty sure the Chrome extension has been pulled..

Great goal by Meireles to wrap up the tie. Benfica played well, especially for a 10 man team.

I think the worst thing they did was design it on iOS design principles instead of ICS. the app looks jarring when seen on an ICS device.
True, it doesn't follow the ICS guidelines. But it's still an excellent looking app, it doesn't look jarring IMO.
Also, I really like the filters and effects, if you use the correct ones, your photo actually looks great. Eg. - http://instagr.am/p/JAADkSEMga/
In other news, in the sub-20k bracket, I feel the HTC One V is a no brainer. Decent chip, (S2 Snapdragon), 800x480 3.7", ICS, Good camera, looks great as well. Excellent competitor to the Neo V, which is still running Gingerbread. (scheduled to get ICS by May)
-
In that case, The One XL would be the best device IMO. (One X with S4).
I doubt Samsung will be able to match HTC with the design and overall hardware.. maybe the screen will be better.

Hmm. What is your opinion, SGS3 will have A15 or A9?

Can't wait for the season finale of GoT. Episode 9 was decent. Some scenes were well done.
Also, Suits season 4 started this week. Thursday morning IST. Anyone saw it?
