I think it was in response to this particular tweet.

With all the people complaining about how some pre-Alpha footage "looks like a*s" you probably will have rockstar making the devs and asset creators do death march work to make it look better :/

Also nobody knows when it will be ready to release, and this guy somehow knows it's been in development for 4 years?

    Kuch bhi

Just when you think the game is over, it won't be over. And all of the plot you have seen will make complete sense. Prepare for the mind to be blown.

After being done with the Story. I still go back to this game. Play for 30-40 mins. Do 1 or 2 missions and lay down roads and ziplines. It's satisfying and a very relaxing game.

Finished the game , mind blown, pity they had to keep all questions regarding the plot for last 2-3 hours of cutscenes/gameplay

Also too much feels in the cutscenes for the very last order

I'm relieved though that there was a happy ending, wonder how they'll take on our EE in the future considering bullets don't work on her, and since the Last Stranding is "inevitable"

This is one game that should be played totally blind and without any spoilers, totally worth it, and as a game it's unique, one of a kind, you may or may not like it, but you don't get AAA games like this.

Also Cliff is legit the best char of the game.

This game has become available on PS+ extra and premium. Worth downloading that or should i buy the gold edition which is on sale rite now?

gold edition, it gives you two DLCs, 1st one is nothing much, 2nd has all supernatural elements like egyptian mythology and all.

  4. On Chapter 11 now, literally walked from tar belt all the way to the distribution center west of south knot city, then got on a bike and took the road.

This is perhaps the only game I feel I should have played  completely spoiler free, like i've been spoiled about certain plot points here and there.

Also  @ thiccman theorizing that Cliff Unger is the one behind the whole Last Stranding scheme, it's literally obvious that the guy's crazy, always screams about wanting his BB back and all, doesn't seem in his senses, and the flashbacks you get show him to be a good guy.

It's 100% amelie and her mom's scheme, idk why they would want to end the world though.

Might be cheaper than 30 series Crypto inflated prices. But looking at the power draw, it's going to cost you quite a bit if you choose to upgrade esp if you don't have a 1000W PSU and a case with good active cooling.

Even for the rtx 4060 ti or whatever? I understand for the high-end cards but even normal ones need 1000w PSU?

I'm a tech noob, man. No NAS, definitely no KDE or Linux. Attach wires, transfer stuff. Just need USB 3 or better. Simple enough to work.

Lemme try this. How is this different from transferring stuff via Wi-Fi over itunes for specific apps ? Or using wifi file transfer via app links (like 192.168.xx.xx) ? Because they are pretty slow for me (7-9 MBps only).

    Switch to Android then :P

    It's very fast with USBC.

Like others said you need some general file transfer app that sends between your phone to PC/NAS using WiFi

Also you get plug and play NAS dabbas if you're willing to fork out the cash, range from ~20k( 2 HDD bays ) to ~50k( 4 HDD bays )

    This….has to be a joke, right ?

China stapling fake leaves throughout the city, colouring mountains etc.

It's probably real, either to show off to foreigners( paid Vloggers ofc ) or to impress senior officials out on a tour of an area to assert "progress" in this case of de-desertifying some area( they have an actual program focussed on stopping the Gobi Desert from spreading eastward ).

    Check this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Potemkin_village

It's basically a Chinese innovation of some old Soviet style propaganda technique to show how Lumber One communism is, by making fancy looking fake villages and towns, or putting fancy, good looking and painted facades on top of actual old and decreipt buildings.

Your Commie-based regimes are big on having good optics based on even the most hammy methodology like this, atleast the West and the Middle East Oil kingdoms have some subtlety.

All your contexts, statements etc are extremely vague.

How do you define entertainment value? Do you feel games like returnal, Spiderman, RnC, GoT, HFW etc are "lesser in entertainment value" than Nintendo's offerings.

Who cares about what you have "noticed". Any simple research will tell you that sony (as on 2022) is indeed the biggest gaming company, no matter whatever you try to peddle here.

They are numba wan simply because no competition, they exist in their own product category "bubble" of sorts since the X360 era, before that they used to compete with Sony.

There is no competition now, they just do their own thing, nobody actually compares PS/Xbox/PC to Nintendo, it's apples and oranges

Now it's even more so that the portable gaming space is totally vacated to Nintendo

Haven't played AC ever since I dropped Unity in first 15 mins.

    Is Odyssey good?

It's good if you like melee/bow and arrow RPG combat, it's not the typical AC stealth gameplay
Also you can climb everything in sight, there is naval combat/traversal and virtual Greece is beautiful <3

They've kept everything as it is, including the music <3 and the little slot machine spinner that activates your special abilities,

Real pity that the Switch is the base platform though, then again the OG also was on the PSP

Also thank god it's coming on steam day 1:first:

They killed the most beloved character in TLOU .. I swear if they decide to kill him and doesn't get resurrect in future then many players will be pissed.

I think SM will temporarily kill Kratos, make a game with new character, see if it holds. If not then 'Kratos is back'

They will perma-kill him and be smug about it like how ND/Druckman was and how the Bioware guys were after the ME3 RGB ending.

Except perma-killing kratos doesn't make sense since in pretty much every other game he either "dies" and goes to the underworld, f**ks sh*t up and busts out or goes in living, f**ks sh*t up and walks out.

I mean this is the last game in the Norse saga supposedly, which again doesn't make much sense since that would mean Odin is the main villain here, not Thor who is some mid-game boss then.

wait, you don’t carry a pylon rope pack?

I had, but I thought it's just one rope,  so why waste it TIL it has 3 ropes per "package" like how you have 5 grenades in one package

btw the route I was following was from the Roboticist to Mountain City, passing through the area around Heartman/Heart shaped lake because i don't have the BB anymore

I also found out today that you don't need to even kill the big catcher BT, just get out of it's magic tar zone and the area clears up, no BTs

For a while that is :fear:

  14. Don't know where to post this but I was watching 1st EP of Edgerunner on Netflix, just ~15 mins in drives home the point that  what a sh*t place Night City is to live with all it's AnCap chutiyapa going on, I guess it's because the anime is from the PoV of some random poor kid and his poor mom, not some gun toting mercenary and the Keanu Reeves ghost in his head

Time to re-live my PSP era days, now with fancy graphics

Also cry at the ending, hope they change that to be in line with FF7R, not keep the original one.

I guess the one cutscene where Genesis, Sephiroth and Angeal fight on top of that huge cannon is going to be real-time now, not pre-rendered like in PSP days

    How did you fall?

Ram out if stamina ir tripped and fell

Was on a cliff, tripped over and fell, this is with All Terrain exoskeleton, later I tried the same thing but was crouched and had both triggers held down instead of just walking, there was a rope put by someone so took that down the rest of the way

If I may be so bold and say it, I guess, there's a chance of a backlash or "boycott" (in recent terminology) even if the tiniest part of some big concepts (like religion, history, etc.) are portrayed with some creative freedom and different from how people think of said concept.

I'm not saying it can't be done, but it's a thin line.

Uncharted: The Lost Legacy handled it very well, obviously and there was no backlash, etc.

If I was a game-dev, I'd be most concerned about who I'm offending with what part of the game, etc. Thankfully, games (especially the big-budget AAA ones) are still not as mass-market as movies, but if any big media outlet picks up some sort of negative point from a trailer or something, then it won't take long for "#[InsertGameNameHere]" to start trending on Twitter.

As a developer, publisher, gamer, that's the last thing I'd want. So, I won't blame devs if they'd want to avoid the Indian settting altogether.

The only setting I can think of, which might avoid any controversy/drama is something post-apocalyptic like TLoU or Horizon, no religion or historical accuracy ka jhanjhat.

Nobody gives a flying f**k about India in gaming for any #Boycott to matter, it's a teeny tiny market

What roun90 said is right, nobody cares about an "Indian Setting" in gaming because irl India isn't a big market for games, and game devs wouldn't care about "offending" any religion or mythology for that matter, but India as a setting is not interesting for them, at all.

Even in AC which has relatively diverse settings, barely anything exotic you will get is some middle-eastern setting like Istanbul back then or Baghdad now, even AC Origins was set during Ptolemaic dynastly/Roman times, and there are so many AC games now, you can count ones that didn't have a "Western" setting on one hand.

More like there has never been a game with Indian setting. Since you're focusing on Open World - tell me the last open world game you remember with Indian Setting? I can think of none - and that's thinking from the time of PS1. Devs have never made an open world game set in India. They have never experimented, and hence don't know whether customers will like it or not. It's the same for China tbqh. It was only when the Chinese Market grew too big to ignore that Devs started making games set in China. Japanese Devs were the only ones making games set in Japan for the longest time. It was only after JRPGs became big - that proved customers wanted Japanese settings that Western devs did Japan (Still a minority to this day).

Western Devs seem to do only what is comfortable to them. That means - EU/US and even Fantasy is EU Middle Ages (With Magic) and Sci-Fi is US with more shiny guns blasting lasers instead of bullets (As established by Star Wars).

I can't think of a single time where devs did settings like India. We have to wait for Indian Gaming Development Induster to catch up I guess (If it ever will).

These are also mainly Chinese devs only, the very few non-Chinese games set in China are those Dynasty Warriors ones and the recent TW : Three Kingdoms

  18. Is there any list of the preppers or whatever in the mountain region? love the mountains, it's an actual good on-foot experience, you just need the good equipment I guess, the all terrain skeleton + 2 x floating carriers.
