@Ethan_Hunt Congratz on completing Y4. It will always have a soft spot in my heart, since it was my first Yakuza. Oh, and I should point out, this awesome song is the theme song for Yakuza 4 You should listen to it. It's awesome. I think it's missing from the Remake. Originally it played while installing the game on the PS3. Since there is no installation on the Remake, I think this song is MIA (Which is sad, since it's so good). 100% Agree with this. Yakuza 5 is gigantic - to the point that it will make Yakuza 4 look like a tiny CoD SP game in comparison. RGG Studios went absolutely bonkers with the game. This is the last time I ever saw them making a game on such a huge scale. 1) Main Story is far bigger than Y4. It's also far better than Y4. In fact, it's one of the best stories in Yakuza Series period - right up there with Yakuza 0 (Maybe even better, depending on people's opinion). 2) It has 5 characters, and 5 gigantic cities to explore. All 5 cities are different from each other, and in full scale, i.e. as big as or even bigger than Kamurocho (Think on that) 3) All 5 cities have tons of side content and sub-quests, and they are different. 4) To add to this - all 5 characters have their own major mini-games, with their own stories. Think of Real Estate and Cabaret Club in Y0. Now imagine 5 different mini-games on that scale for 5 different characters (Complete with entire story-lines and unique gameplay) 5) This is the first and last time you will be able to drive in Yakuza Series (Even Lost Judgement - the latest game - does not allow driving). Heck, in the original PS3 release you could go to convenience stores and read actual manga (i.e. IRL Manga that exists). Sadly this feature was removed in the Remake Coming directly from Y4 - you will be burned out very fast if you start Y5. You should really take your time to appreciate it. Hence, it's better to take a break, maybe play another game - before coming back to Y5.

i agree. But I guess they did it to increase revenue during pandemic times. This would especially be important when the Demon Slayer fever was at an all-time high I guess, rather than 1 year later when the excitement has died down. Plus the delicious Blu Ray sales revenue (Generally anime movies are better animated and have far less censorship than the TV versions). Anyway, gear up for a long haul. Even without Mugen Train there is enough material for at least 2-3 seasons more easily. It will be some (many?) years before we see the conclusion of the Demon Slayer story-line in anime form I'm afraid.

It may be the most successful movie - but still, there will be quite a bit of people WW unable to access theaters (and not interested in *ahem*) I think. Also a lot of people who are not hardcore enough fans to go to theaters but would still like to watch it. Then people who will like to watch while switching channels or just relaxing after coming home from work. The overall movie audience is I think still quite a small part of the complete anime fan-base. You also have people who suddenly crave anything Asian after watching Squid Game. Yup, seems like a good move to animate Mugen Train rather than confusing the heck out of quite a lot of people.

You guys doubted this? Mugen Train is an essential part of the story. They have to re-animate the story for the TV series. This is especially important because a ton of people missed out on the movie due to Covid. Even DB: Super did this, when there was not even a pandemic. The good thing is - the animation of the movie will be far better than the TV Show.

You got the game just today? That's very late dude. Anyway congratz and enjoy the game. Just a tip - You will get plenty of Orange Gel and Pineapple Gel drops in the very beginning of the game. Save it and Hoard it. Don't use Orange Gels much!! You will only be able to buy Orange Gels after you get to the 3rd area. If you run out of it before them - bad luck. You'll be out of healing in the middle of fights (If your CP Ends). Even after you reach the 3rd area - Orange Gels go for 3000 Gald/gel. It's very expensive (Considering you only get gald from side-quests and not random fights like all other games, and some side quests are very hard). Also keep your early level weapons. You will need them later down the line to craft more powerful gear. I didn't know this when I went in blind and suffered a lot of frustration as a result. Anyway, congratz and enjoy the game!!

How demanding is the HD Texture pack? That thing is taking the download size from 35 GB to 72 GB, so I assume it's a significant upgrade. Also, how much is the performance hit (On PC)? No, you are not playing a sequel. The story is going to be very confusing in the beginning. It will make sense as you go ahead. But it will only make complete sense when you are in your 2nd play-through. You do need to play as both Yuito and Kasane to get the complete story.

Both the boy and the girl have different story-lines. Their stories run parallel to each other. For example, while playing as the guy, it's not like the girl doesn't exist. She's doing her own stuff. You need 2 play-throughs to get the complete story. One for the boy and one for the girl. The enemy models in this game are weird. But it's in a very fun way. As for powers, not all JRPG protags have them. It's there in this game, because that's the point of the story. Not all JRPG protags are even friendly. You can see it even here. The guy is friendly. The girl is more aloof. All protags have their own personalities. Bosses/Villains are not necessarily corporate heads. Play ahead. This game has a very good story.

The devs (Including Balrog) themselves said they are only going to focus on story. And not just any story, but story "That is relatable to them". They really are not into the old Kratos anymore. As I said, they called the old Kratos "One-Track". It's not me saying it. It's the devs themselves. They also said they were young when they made those old games. Now they are older, and they want to focus on more meaningful stories, not random killing and random pantheons. They themselves said they want to explore the "Fatherhood" theme, and how Kratos has gone far beyond the old Hulk Mode now. They wanted to do something beyond the mindless hack-n-slash. All of this is from the Official Art-book of God of War 2018 BTW. Also, Sony is not going to stop the devs from killing Kratos. There is a previous example. Joel was a fan-favorite. He was loved by fans. Still Sony encouraged ND to kill him off. They forced Nathan Drake to retire - and Drake was also iconic. They had a game with only Chloe, Sam and Nadine Ross (No Drake or Sullivan) - it was very well received. Kratos is iconic - yes. It will not stop them from killing him off. If sales tank hard and series is on the verge of death - they might bring him back. But they will have no qualms of developing at least 1-2 games as an experiment without him. BTW - Egyptian setting is kind of perfect for Atreus/Loki. Set is the God of the Desert, storms and Foreigners. He is seen trying to usurp the power of Osiris and has a conflict with Horus for kingship of Egypt. Doesn't that seem like a perfect place to put Loki in?

The decision to focus on the story and relationships in 2018 GoW was deliberate. The team was bored of the old formula. They explicitly stated that most of them had families now - and that is a dynamic they wanted to explore going forward. I think the days of mindless Hack-n-Slash is pretty much done. They literally called the old Kratos "One-Note" and as you said - his daughter a gimmick. They wanted organic story growth for Kratos, and the team wanted to explore that. Heck, Barlog also said that he wants to write a game he knows - i.e. exploring the trials of fatherhood and all that jazz. I really don't think simply going to different pantheons and getting rid of the various deities is what they want anymore. They want to go story based now. If the story calls for Atreus succeeding Kratos and Kratos dying - it will. If the story organically allows for Kratos going to other pantheons, it will. They are done with simple Hack-n-Slash Kratos I think.

Frankly, true. No way GoW is the "Greatest Game of All Time". Especially since it will be forgotten again once hype of Ragnarok dies down and there is no news for some time. The "Greatest Game Ever" I would say would be Chess (Since the time of the Ancient Kings, still going strong in 2021). If it has to be a video game, then Tetris/Mario/Pac-Man/Parrot (They are the foundations of all other games). If it has to be a major orchestral Grand Adventure RPG - Then Chrono Trigger, which was a collaboration dream project of almost all major industry devs put together (Still one of the best and most innovative stories IMO - it's the only RPG where you can go from Dinosaur/Cave Man Time all the way to Mass Effect time with all in-between time periods included).

This is the most realistic MGS and Silent Hill rumor so far. I can easily see Konami remaking MGS 3 (Their Magnum Opus) and giving new MGS games to new creator. Chinese Studio also makes sense, because Konami is barely in the video game business and they will most probably do it for cheap. Remake MGS 3 for new generation (Find a way to put it in mobiles as well). Plus, remake Silent Hill in the same way. Then, once the new generation knows about MGS 3, Castlevania and SH - then milk the franchises via Pachinko, Netflix Shows, Merchandise and all such stuff. Intermittently make 1-2 MGS games to show investors they "Are Still a Video Game Company". Keep Kojima at least 100 kms away from all their games. Yup, easily see Konami doing all this IMO.

Yup, I remember this. Didn't know it at the time. Found out later. Even on *ahem* sites they keep the ridiculous 4Kids and Funimation dubbing. It's so horrible, I thought I don't remember dub being so bad. Turns out when I researched, Animax did their own dubbing. Sad part is - Animax dubbing is not found on the net these days. It's only the horrible American ones. Major props to Animax for hiring serious Actors to dub when all American Dubbers hired kids off the street who only knew to over-act (and censored it on top of that).

Exactly!! If it was only VA and game was not mo-capped, then VA could be set for absolute last (Like they used to do before). But Mo-capping a game is like acting on cinema. A game based on mo-cap just cannot keep it for last. It would not work at all IMO.

Mo cap is one of the most important things in the process. If they were aiming for 2021 release, Mo cap I think would have already been underway in 2019. Considering these games are like Cinema - Actors being absent is going to cause delays, like it or not. The entire animation of the game is based on the mo-cap. It's also the actor of Kratos on top of that. Game just cannot happen without him.

Fake addresses is fine (Just correct ZIP code needed). Some people advocate creating a South African Switch Account, because some games are cheaper there. But I personally selected US because of availability of all games on launch, plus hassle free (You easily get Switch $ Codes for purchase online). We get to thank MS for "Bringing the console on launch day". No video game company cares about India. TVs are where we get priority (Sony even brought in some premium TV models before US, and we have 8k sets here since 1 year at least). Mobiles also we get priority (Mainly mid-range ones and Exynos sets from Samung). But anything related to Video Games - thank the distributor for even bringing it here (Both Games and Machines). Price Drop is a very far away dream luxury.
