All bought on MRP & I know they have little value now but I made a similar mistake PS360-PS4 switch where I left lot of games mid-way/untouched & later regretted
It was MP heavy life back then so couldn’t wait but now I think I can
You should get the PS5. Almost all PS4 games are better played on PS5 tbqh. Playing Last of Us 2 on PS5 - and it's divine. Same for Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Days Gone, Spiderman and all other games. The ability to play PS4 games on 60 fps (Many at 4k on top of that) makes a huge world of difference. I've still kept my PS4, but these days it's more to play VNs and games like 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim and all such stuff. Next gen consoles are really great this time around. Not to mention the true next gen games - which are amazing.
If you like PS - PS5 is a no-brainer.

It's animated. But I dunno how to feel about this tbqh. Mario has a distinct iconic voice. Also, when one thinks of an Italian Plumber with a funny English Accent - Chris Pratt does not even come to mind. Hope they do the animated movie justice.

You guys should watch this. It's mind blowing. Japanese Katana Experts are able to recreate GoT moves in real life. They even explain the rationale behind each move. Why each move is done the way it is and why it's correct lol. Amazing attention to detail Sucker Punch has put in the game.

Saw the Direct just now (Had forgotten about the Direct completely). A very good show. Some thoughts -
1) Very excited for Triangle Strategy. I thought it was vaporware and Nintendo had forgotten about it. Need some Octopath Traveller goodness without the grinding associated with it. Decision making affecting the World and story also an enormous plus point
2) Same as above for Bayonetta 3. Again I had thought it was vaporware. Good that they remembered it.
3) New Gameplay of Kirby: The Forgotten Lands, Metroid Dread and Splatoon 2. They seemed awesome. I'm not a fan of those, but I know they are huge IPs and a lot of people are waiting for them. Other devs should also learn and put more of their major IPs in 1 show. It's absolutely fun.
4) Yoko Taro (Nier dev) making a new Card based JRPG similar to Hand of Fate on Steam. Lol the guy just does whatever is fun.
5) New tier of NSO. Not much interested (Not even using the regular NSO), but I hope they don't lock online play/cloud features behind the new tier.
6) DLCs for those interested. Monster Hunter Rise DLC seemed a major one.
7) Indies and Steam Bargain Bin titles coming to Switch at full price (Disco Elysium and all). Not interested. Absolutely meh!
8) One really surprising thing - it's not MS who is the first to completely stream games (Of the major console makers), it's Nintendo. Dying Light 2 coming to Switch fully via Cloud.
9) Mario Movie pulling in all the Hollywood A-Listers. This is a little worrying, but hopefully it's not an absolute disaster.
10) Actraiser Renaissance seems interesting for side scrolling platformer fans (Not a genre I play personally much - if at all)
11) Square Enix is now competing with Mario Kart on Nintendo's own platform lol
It was a pretty fun direct to watch overall. Full time-pass for 40 mins.

I hope they gained from them atleast. Epic takes 12% cut, where Sony takes 30%.This is true. But AFAIK Sony/PS has a larger customer base than EGS. It also has a bigger marketing pull than Epic. So it will even out. Sony might also have some special pricing model for indie devs.

Till what I've played - Game is absolutely beautiful and story is absolutely interesting. I'm not that far into the game, but if this keeps up - I might like it more than Yakuza 7: Like A Dragon. Combat is bonkers fun!! Graphics look even better than Yakuza 7 IMO

Lost Judgement no pre-loads for US/EU Digital Customers on PS4/PS5 (This includes India). HK and SEA PS stores have pre-load. All Xbox Stores have pre-loads. WTF is this sh*t
Hopefully they allow access to the game tonight at least. Have been hearing horror stories of some games only being accessible 2 days after release.
Edit: Pre-Load started for Indian users. 3 hours of pre-load. Game size is around 49 GB. Great

I got it. Digital version, so I'll play on launch. I'm expecting the formula to remain the same (Just expanded a bit). But then again, I like the Yakuza series and formula, so I don't mind getting digital on launch

Many devs can and have removed Denuvo via patches. Of course there are some "Special Cases" who make gamers suffer. But Denuvo can be easily removed via a simple patch by the devs and many have done so after the initial days. Some examples include SE with Nier Automata, Bethesda with Doon 2016 etc.

AFAIK Denuvo prevents cracking for at least 1 week - 1 month. Majority of the sales happen within that time period. After that time, even if the game is cracked, majority of the sales is done anyway. The rest are generally those who are ready to wait for a sale or will pirate anyway. Without Denuvo, games get cracked either on release, in just a few minutes/hours after release or (worst case) before release itself, when files are uploaded on Steam. I think tons of sales are lost in this period. That's why developers are still persisting on adding Denuvo to PC games (even paying extra), despite knowing it will be cracked eventually IMO.

I don't think any "Work" was put on those DLCs at all. Like I said - the game is not balanced around those DLCs. Which literally means - you can use a Cheat Engine/Cheat Trainer and get those exact same results that the DLC gives. Those DLCs are game-breakers. The monetization department literally just used a Cheat Engine and sold those things as official "DLCs", especially so console players can get to play cheats. Same for the costumes. They are mods with some added skills attached, but with none of the balancing required to call it a proper "DLC".
Look at the DLC List -
1) Gain Mllion Gil (Gold) instantly
2) Gain 10 levels instantly
3) Gain 1000-2000 SP (Skill Points)
4) Add items to inventory
5) Gain double exp, SP etc.
6) Mod Costumes
All classic Cheat Trainer stuff, especially without the game balance revolving around buying those. An intern probably did that in his/her free time.
FoV and UW - yes those are oversights. But I'm sure an official patch will come in soon, and till then a basic mod can be made for those - just like Nier Automata.

PS5 Digital. I kind of lost faith in getting such games Physical copy here. Even Scarlet Nexus had the exact same problem, with only the standard edition physical edition coming to India months after release, unofficially. That too in such a small quantity that it sold out almost immediately. No restocks as well. It was as though it might have not been released here at all.

@playstationdude @NitroNeo @Mysteryman You guys got your physical editions yet? Enjoying it? Personally I just reached the 3rd area and the game is just so good. Amazing gameplay, and I just love the story. Also, despite the pop-ins, the game is absolutely beautiful.

Frankly, this is the best way to do DLCs. Absolutely 0% of the DLCs are needed. The game is balanced around having absolutely none of the DLCs and the combat provides a great and fair challenge.
The entire "DLC" list is for those who are intentionally looking to break the game and snooze through it - while at the same time boasting/claiming they finished in "Hard" mode or "Chaos" Mode. The easy and story modes are still there for those who find the game too hard. Hard/Chaos mode can also be done without DLCs if someone plays the game properly and does the tactics correctly. No story is locked behind DLC and no trophy is locked behind it as well. The other set of DLCs are the costumes - and those are also not fitting with the story. For example, if you want to wear swimsuits (While travelling in icy Cyslodia) or school uniforms or costumes from other games like Tekken etc.

@Assassins Creed Congratz on your PC!! If you really want to show off your PC GFX - get RDR2, Hitman 3 (Linear SP), Horizon or Days Gone and CP2077 (RTX). These 3 will look absolutely bonkers on your PC. Keep in mind though - CP2077 will look absolutely bonkers, but issues with bad AI, repetitive NPCs etc. remain. RDR2 is a must though.

IMO nothing justifies personal attacks. Making commentary certainly does not justify personal attacks. People have the right to their opinion and it's not anyone else's place to attack them for that. As far as employee status is concerned - it's frankly best if others do not talk about the workplace of others. People will always say good things about their work-pace. It's not hypocrisy. It's survival. As per the example given here - do you really think an MS employee will directly go against what his company states? Do you think a Sony Playstation employee here will talk against the $10 upgrade policy here? They will not. Rights on forum posting does not justify a black mark in their place of employment. There is also the fact that they might genuinely love where they work and have really good colleagues. They will not like to talk against their own and their friends' work in public. Best bet is to talk about other things. That is, don't talk about MS stuff to an employee of MS etc.
In fact, people should be happy that company employees are coming here. There is a chance they might see discussions here, and that might lead to new ideas. But in getting personal, the forum will become a very closed one with very few people active. It's a very bad thing IMO.

IMO, that is fair. He's free to have his opinion of companies. What will not be fair is if others pile up and say - You are from ONGC. You better go up top and look at your boss's practice first. That's unfair. For example, I can say ONGC and IGL are both scum or saints. That is my opinion. But I cannot specifically target a specific employee (by name at that) and ask him to go to his boss. That is personal. Having opinion on companies is fine. Calling out employees is absolutely not.

Starting this thread a bit early, because there has been information regarding TGS 2021.

The image is released by CESA (TGS Organizer) so all are in Japanese Time (UTC+9). MS will have it's conference on 30th Sep 6 p.m. (Jpn Time), but notable, both Sony and Nintendo - the actual Japanese Console Makers are absent. All the major Japanese 3rd Parties such as SEGA/Atlus, Square Enix, Capcom, Bandani Namco, Spike Chunsoft etc. are all there. Surprisingly Konami is there as well (Maybe for new Video Game Announcement?)

Baldr and Freya are both full Gods - Major Gods in fact, same as Thor. Both are not as tall as Tyr. In fact, it doesn't even matter. If you played God of War 2, you know Gods can change their height freely. Kratos used to be taller than buildings (Before Zeus stripped his power). Same for Zeus I think. The re-animated Colossus of Rhodes was also taller than buildings (All 3 of them were taller than Tyr).

All editions allow PS4 and PS5 versions both AFAIK. The only difference between the versions are some exclusive costumes and items like Health Restore Items, MP Restore etc. The devs have even confirmed there will be no story DLCs. You can get the standard version for this game and be set.
