Agree with everything- but why RDR2 Remaster? RDR1 is needed. BUT RDR2 looks and plays amazing as it is.

Well, they did give out Control Ultimate Edition to PS+ customers, plus put Control in GP and give it out for free on EGS. That should make up a bit for the sh**ty upgrade policy I guess. Giving out the full UE version on PS+ was the best move though. I would not have played it otherwise.

Useless. Especially considering 99.9% of people don't have 8k TV sets yet (Those are very expensive tech demos still) + games would not be made in 8k yet (They are barely running on 4k as it is). Worse would be if the OG PS5 production is reduced because of this "Pro" version (Remember, silicon chips will have to be shared). I don't think even GPUs are equipped to handle 8k RTX yet (even at 30 fps). At most you will have 1-2 8k tech demos for your $700 is what I feel - which you won't even be able to run because you don't have 8k display.

I think either this is rumor or clickbait. Sony has not been able to produce enough PS5s almost 2 years down the line of the so-called "Global" Launch. The existing games have not even started to use the capabilities of the PS5 yet. What the heck is the point in developing the Pro now - other than pi**ing off the original buyers, who would consider themselves scammed.

Reviews are up 8.5 IGN has not done the review yet and ACG will give his final verdict on Friday due to receiving code late. Overall though, seems we have a winner on our hands

Sony actually does not have the rights to Spiderman video games at all. It's only the movies that they own. They are making exclusive Spiderman games because of their deal with Disney to give Spiderman movies to the MCU. Before Sony, Activision made the Spiderman games - and those were multi-platform. In such a scenario, it's very much possible for Sony and Disney to expand the deal temporarily to provide more hype to Far From Home (So long as they are no longer in conflict) Keep in mind - if you get a Good Night's Sleep, you will get to watch the show in 4k (Livestream version will be crappy compressed 720p/1080p). Also, I would imagine discussing the show itself would be possible here, but things like "MS show was 100% better" or "PS Show was 100% better" or "This company's show sucked" all those will go to PS vs Xbox thread. At least that's what I guess.

I think they need to give Spiderman a small break. Gameplay forumla is pretty much the same (Miles Morales proved it). Insomniac has to show they are not a one trick pony and can create hit IPs beyond Spiderman/Superheroes. Of course, this all changes if they have tied in a partnership with Disney and have the rights to use some of the Avengers characters. It could be possible. They already remade Peter Parker's face to resemble Tom Holland. Bring in Dr Strange to cash in on No Way Home hype.

I highly doubt this will ever happen. There is more of a chance to see a new horror IP than Silent Hill (Forget about MGS). If it's Kojima, I would expect another game with Hollywood Actors along the vein of Death Stranding 2 or something. SH and MGS are Konami IPs and they are not dead. They are very much active in the gambling scene. A lot of people are spreading rumors, but when the issue arose that Kojima was essentially put in house arrest by Konami and kicked out at the first possible opportunity - no way are they giving their premier IPs to him to make games (I doubt he would accept it anyway - Japanese honor and all that).

Sony has skipped all the main shows - E3, Gamescom and (Most Probably) TGS as well. They are also not doing regular SoPs unlike Nintendo. They are also riding high on the price train controversy. For their sake, tomorrow's show had better be bonkers to make up for all of that. If it's another show with indies, Deathloop, KENA, PS All Stars and some 2 min Horizon and GoW to end it - a lot of people, including me are going to be pissed. My personal wish list is - 1) Persona 6 - end 2022 release 2) Final Fantasy 16 - Mid 2022 Release 3) God Of War - Mid 2022 Release (4 months after Horizon) 4) New IP Announcement Reveal from Naughty Dog (Tentative 2023 Release) 5) New IP Announcement from Insomniac (Tentative 2023 Release) Don't expect anything from Sucker Punch as of now. Make these 5 happen, and I'll be over the moon lol.

I seriously doubt that will ever be the case. There is a chance there will be no more Infamous/Resistance games (Those IPs did not prove to be a major hit + Another Superhero game by Spiderman Creators is redundant). But both studios will try their hand at new IPs as well. Franchise fatigue is a thing, and people will not welcome GoT 2,3,4 etc. so soon (Only Yakuza fans can accept that). The studio will have some new IPs so that they can rotate between IPs. Much like how ND made The Last of Us 1 while Uncharted was still a major hit, SE West and Ubi cycles between it's annual IPs etc.

Frankly, I will prefer China, especially Hong Kong. It will be like Sleeping Dogs 2 (We still need that, if you are listening SE. No more Tomb Raider or LiS, get on Sleeping Dogs ASAP). Or they can go really fancy and send Kiryu against Mumbai Dons/set in Afghanistan etc. But the US is really the last thing we need. There are 10,000 "Crime" Open Worlds set in the US or EU in all time periods, and the mafia drama has been played to death already. It's gotten to the point that it's frankly boring. There's not even the curiosity to explore anymore.

Digital. This will be my first digital new game purchase for the PS5 (Previous ones were either PS4 upgrades like FF7R or PS+ stuff).

When is the Playstation Showcase in Indian Time?

Too early to say, but I get the feeling Sony will put in a bit of extra content for those who buy the PS5 version. Say for example, putting in some extra quests and/or costumes. It will not be any major content, but something like what Ubi provides with AC if you pre-order early (Beowulf and Grendel Quest in AC:Valhalla for example) Of course those who choose to upgrade via PS4 version will just get the upgrade, and not the extra stuff. It will certainly be easier than identifying people who pre-ordered or fielding complaints and then refunding the extra amount. Of course, this is just what I guess would happen.

So your gist is all the technical stuff (Dresses, Colors, Sets etc.) look good but story looks bad/butchered. CG was decent, especially the White Tower. it was no Rivendell/Lothlorien from LOTR - but it was decent enough. Other than that, I completely agree with your opinion. And I'm kinda afraid they are going to ruin it. This is what I'm afraid of. They showed the main trio for all of 2 seconds, with a derpy rom-com type expressions, then went straight back to the superhero segment of the Aes Sedai. WTF!! This is the first I heard of it. How the heck are they going to do that without butchering the story? There is enough material to make 1 season out of the 1st book. At the very least I hope that each episode is around 1:30 hours, so there is at least sufficient material coverage.

I agree, it has the potential to be one of the best shows. Source material is that good. But I'm having doubts about the show itself tbqh. The trailer is disappointing. They've shown only the Aes Sedai - who are frankly one of the weak links in the story. No mention of Rand/Mat/Perrin. No mention of any of the Forsaken, only that CG monster. A Hogwarts introduction to Saidar/Aes Sedai, but not a single mention of Saidin. A person new to the series, who has no knowledge of the books will think this is a show about the more mature live-action version of Little Witch Academia or a medieval version of Harry Potter or something. I expected the trailer to at least show the contrast of Saidar/Saidin or the opening of the WoT books with LTT's madness and Ishmael's triumph. Or the Dragon Reborn's Prophecy mentioned at least. This was just sad.

@radicaldude That's great and all, but - 1) They have already given 60 fps "Patch" for free to PC users. All the work is done. It's only milking PS5 customers at this point. 2) The "Bad Port" is all on Sony. There are tons of other devs out there, who ported from console to PC and have absolutely no issues. Heck, even Sony has mastered it. From PS associated games itself, prime examples are - Death Stranding and Days Gone. 3) All other devs and all other platforms are giving 60 fps "Patch" for free. It's only PS only players that are trying to justify paying $10 more for minor upgrades and claiming 60 fps "Patch" is a big achievement. I like PS. I'm a PS player since PS3 days at least. Still I will say that this is a very bad move. It's the same as when all X360 players were screaming that "Good Online" can only happen with $60/month sub, which then became the norm. Hey, people can be sheep. It's free money for the mega-corps.
