  1. This is most probably the easiest game in the entire Fromsoft series. Every boss can be cheesed and some builds are straight up uber OP. That said, if you really want challenge - go Full Black World Tendency and fight the NPC Black Phantoms. They are far harder than bosses. Some such as Black Phantom Satsuki are really hard.
  2. What does Intel have to do with it? Both Sony and MS are using their competitor's products (AMD) AFAIK

Fair enough my friend. I apologize if I said anything wrong. Enjoy and have a great day!!

OK, even I was just stating my opinion. But if you are going to get personal, then carry on. I'm out of here.

Those are old man. SNES and PSX era games. And even there, your point will not be valid. For example, FF1, 2, 3 and 5 barely have any story. They were more known for their gameplay. Tales games are far better than those 4 titles any day. But if you are recommending someone, you cannot make a blanket statement like that, especially when most of the modern FF games do not even touch 50% of that quality.

It has Real Time Combat all right. But it's not like FF7R. FF7R is a hybrid of real time and turn based. For example, if you want to use a spell or ability - the game pauses. That is a huge component of Turn Based Combat. Tales Games are pure real time combat. The game is not turn based at all. It will not pause while you decide what ability to use. You will have to do combos and keep on going with the fight. The thing is, Tales of Vesperia's combat is still out-dated. There has been a ton of improvements made since the PS3/X360 days. Not to mention all the PS3/PS4/X360/XOne games are made in a really boring engine, and Tales of Arise is using UE4 and it looks really good. I would really say just play Tales of Arise directly, and if you like it - only then go for the older ones. Not the other way around. It will give you a wrong idea of the series. @playstationdude No. It depends on the title. The best of the Tales Games are still far better than the worst of the FF Games. For example, Tales of Symphonia/Vesperia/Berseria etc. has far better stories than FF13/FF15 etc.

    Tales of Arise

It's a great game. There is a definitive edition on PS4/Xbox One/PC. But I would advise you not to play it at this time. It's dated for those people who are not used to playing old games/old JRPGs. Not to mention, you will get burned out just before Tales of Arise comes out. Story-wise though, all are independent stories, so you can pick up any title in any order.
  8. What the heck is even the point? These are all old movies. They've been played on TVs numerous times. No one is going to buy a new sub just for them. Not that they are in any service in the first place. They don't even give these movies in sell/rent places like Google Movies and all. Worse, they don't even bother to sell DVDs/Blu Rays. They have just disappeared and there is literally no point in their disappearance at all. The only place to find them is in *ahem* places, which is just sad.
  9. Absolutely agree with you. I searched high and low for Good Will Hunting. No luck anywhere. Even amazon is not bothering to sell DVDs/Blu Rays. Absolutely pathetic. Same for a lot of movies that has come on TVs as well. Movies like Bruce Almighty etc. Absolutely sad state of affairs.
  10. I watched The Green Book on Sony Liv. Highly, HIGHLY recommend you guys give it a watch. It's anout the friendship between a brilliant Black Pianist and a White Club Bouncer who acts as the pianist's body-guard, as they travel the entire Deep South USA (Erstwhile Confederate States) in the 1950s-60s. It's based on a true story. Absolute brilliant performances by both Viggo Mortensen and Mehershala Ali.
  11. Since the PS and Xbox thread is locked for being a cesspool (This post was more meant for that), I'm posting it here. How many of you recognize this song? This was played in the Tokyo Olympics. What about you Adity/ @Mr. Comingle?
  12. Thanks. Did it not blow up or get hushed up or something? Either this is the first I'm hearing about it or I completely forgot it. Blizz's news is all over the entire media every day. I don't remember Ubi's scandals getting such coverage.
  13. One thing I have observed this time. Since I am an (on and off) WoW player. This is the very first time I have seen, where a ton of people are talking about quitting WoW. This is on the official forums. The forums where you need a paid WoW subscription to even post, and is a den of WoW fanboys/fangirls. I've not seen this at all any time before. People have been disappointed with Blizzard for a very long time now. Their trust has pretty much eroded, especially since the quality has gone to sh*t since the past 8 years at least. All the devs *named* in the lawsuit are Blizz devs. None are Activision. If nothing else, we might see Blizz getting shut down or Activision taking up all the lead roles and kicking out all the current Blizz heads. This is the minimum I think will happen. When the most loyal customers are moving on, and not even the employees are bothering to work, some changes will need to be done. Also @dylanjosh what was the scandal at Ubisoft? And was it the post Metoo movement like, what Blizz's scandal is?
  14. I love JRPGs a lot. But a lot of it can even be enjoyed by people not into JRPG/Anime. You are going to love Scarlet Nexus. It's action gameplay is one of the best in the industry. The amount of combos you can do, the powers you juggle and the fights are mind blowing. The story is also really great. FF14 is an MMO (But with one of the best stories out there). Lost Judgement is Yakuza of course. Shin Megami Tensei V is by the creators of Persona 5, so there is a sh*t ton of expectations. Tales of Arise is also looking really good.
  15. 1) Tales of Arise - Sep 2021 2) Lost Judgement - September 2021 3) Fatal Frame - October 2021 (Not AAA, but AA - it looks awesome and brings back memories of old Silent Hill and Siren games) 4) Shin Megami Tensei V - November 2021 5) Final Fantasy 14 Endwalker - November 2021 6) Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl - November 2021 Yup, there is still tons left for Japanese video game fans in 2021. All this, after the games that just got released (This last month) like - 1) Monster Hunter Stories 2 2) Neo: The World Ends With You 3) Scarlet Nexus 4) Ys IX: Monstrum Nox (PC Version) And so much more. It's like we don't know where to spend the money. An excellent year for JRPG games. This time, they will. This sh*t has blown up in a massive way. It has gone over to the national media. Blizzard employees are staging walk-outs, strikes and dharnas. Streamers are moving on, and taking their communities with them. Blizzard is essentially under complete lockdown and Activision head honchos are being forced to respond. For the first time in almost 20 years, development of World of Warcraft has completely stopped. There are reports of employee morale being at an all time low, and even those coming to work are not being able to get anything done. New reports are coming in every day, that is more and more horrifying and damaging. If nothing else, at the very least we are looking at a full on restructuring of the entire company. I doubt there will be any new games from ActiBlizz this year at least. It's kind of really sad. There is no excusing what these devs have done. It's horrifying reading about it. Blizz Game quality has also gone to the gutter over the past 5-6 years or so as well. But at the same time, I do remember the time when Blizzard was at their peak. The time when they used to put out games like Warcraft 3 and Diablo 2 - which defined a lot of people's childhoods. Those games were so epic that they lingered in the mind, long after being completed. Even WoW used to be such a massive movement. A game that defined a genre, and created an entire World. A game that had concurrent 12 million players at the same time. The community was massive and every small stuff used to be etched in Gamers' memories. There is no excusing the devs behavior (If they are even the same devs who were there then or were brought in by Activision), but it's sad to see it die like this.
  16. Ah ok, thanks. I mis-read what @Mr. Comingle wrote. The bane of posting while sleepy after mid-night lol.

    Next Character Trailer is up
  18. All Japanese AAA games left. There's a ton of games if you're a Japanese games fan. if you're only into Western made ones, then all are moved into 2021 I think.
  19. If you like Dishonored, you really should play Dishonored 2. It's going to blow the first game out of the water. That Clockwork Mansion Level by itself is a work of art, and justifies full price lol. I expect it will come to GPU soon (Why isn't it there yet even though MS purchase of Bethesda is finalized?). Don't miss it. Haven't played Death of the Outsider though. I wonder if it's any good? Any member who played it here can share their opinion on it?
  20. Completely different cases. With Cyberpunk - CDPR was far too ambitious. If you look at the original "Features Promised" list - if they had been able to fulfill that - it would have been the Best game of the Century. Trying to fulfill those promises - led to delays upon delays, until finally even the gen changed and new HW came (Plus it was far too difficult to put all that stuff in the old Hardware). Over here, Horizon 2 is not that ambitious. What Sony has shown, it's more of an extension of Horizon 1, rather than something ground-breaking or mind-blowing. Heck, even the graphics doesn't look as good as say Ratchet PS5 or Demon's Souls PS5. In this case, I think it's safe to say, the delays are due to Covid related issues, and the game will come out looking exactly as or very slightly different than the initial trailer - with none of the promises missing (Because those promises were not ambitious enough in the first place).

    Tales of Arise

Looks seriously awesome Also all the character introduction trailers released as of now (There might be more down the line)
  22. The only remakes needed are of FF4 and FF6. FF6 Remake especially, is very important. It's one of the best FF games out these (with one of the best SP game stories overall as well). FF 1-3 and FF5 barely have any story. FF4 and FF6 though, are amazing games that deserve a modern remake. FFX though - that does not deserve a remake in any way, shape or form. It's fine enough. None of the games require a Direct Sequel. So no FF4-2, FF6-2, FF9-2 or any other BS. Square is just not good with those. The games ended in the perfect place, so it should end there. These unplanned "Sequels" end up not only being horrible, but also ruining the excellent base game's stories as well.
  23. So a remake of a remaster/remake? No thanks. FFX Remaster still looks good, and it's also highly tainted by that awful audio drama. If FFX is to be touched, it should be FFX-3, and that too to retcon everything the audio drama ever did. Square is horrible with direct sequels. They almost always not only fail, but also spoil the original game along the way. The only good "Direct Sequels" Square has ever done is with FF14, where each expansion is better than the last (even story wise). But the FF14 creator is not involved in any other FF games (except for the soon to be FF16).
  24. Animated TV Show based on Monster Hunter World coming on Netflix on August 12th. Seems Aiden from MH:World will be the main character.
