  1. It's just my opinion, and I'm in no way an expert in law or visa norms - but it's a question of staying. You go to US, stay there on a "Tourist Visa/Vacation Visa", continuously make videos and earn income from US Citizens in US $$s, you will not be allowed to stay AFAIK. You take videos, come back to your home country, upload it and earn income - that is fine. You should watch shows like UK Border Police/US Border Police sometimes. They have kicked people out for reasons you might deem absurd. Fact of the matter is this - as a foreign national, none of the country's rights and duties applies to you, other than the International Human Rights mandated by the UN and all such stuff (This is the case for all countries, not just India). You can stay here, but you have to follow rules, If you don't - the country reserves every right to kick you out. My other point - that of national security still stands. No matter how "Well Liked" or a "Celebrity" or "He's definitely a good guy" people might think - countries have their own intelligence and reserve the right to cancel visa or kick someone out they think might be a threat. Remember my example of someone visiting NK/Venezuela and then going to US? A US born citizen can do that. A foreigner on a US Visa will have it cancelled and he will be deported or arrested and interrogated (before being deported). IMO a country is not a playground and visiting is not a sovereign right. He was here, he should have known and followed the rules.
  2. Highly political issue, but since everyone is discussing it - I'll add my 2 cents. It's not a Freedom of Speech issue. Look India is a sovereign nation. As such, it has rules, which applies to any other foreign nation. 1) Doing business on a tourist visa - In any other country, including Europe and US, it's grounds for automatic deportation. AFAIK, in US, any activity that generates money is considered business and not allowed unless you have work/business permit. There are no "Strikes". It's simple "Get Out", even in the so called "Developed Nations". He's making videos of India, in India and accepting income in Indian rupees - yep, sounds like he's getting income from India. 2) The guy has visited Pakistan, which in Indian case at least, is grounds for disqualification. Think of this - an Indian national visits Iran, North Korea and/or Venezuela before entering the US. How long do you think his visa will be welcomed? I would be surprised if you would be allowed to put 1 step out of the airport (Unless it's to catch the deportation plane or go to prison). Remember David Headley anyone? He had a valid India visa on US passport as well, and was a traveler to Pakistan and Dubai. This is a question of national security, and not a joke. I at least will not allow people's lives to be compromised for a Youtuber's so called "Right of Expression" (Being a MH/Mumbai resident since birth, I remember what it was like pre-2012 and in 2008. I don't want those days back, thank you.) 3) Despite marrying an Indian, he is not an Indian national. AFAIK, he has to renounce NZ citizenship. As a foreigner in a sovereign nation - he has to follow the rules if he wants to stay. Simple as that. I might not like the current govt. at all. But that does not mean allowing all foreigners to do whatever they want, breaking laws. It's the same case for all countries AFAIK.
  3. I think there are different translators period (doing books simultaneously I guess). The version I have seems translated decently enough. It had a photo from Witcher 2 in it's cover. Can't access my copy now, but from Google, this was my version (Same image)
  4. For people who are excited and have a hope that something good might be announced, this is the link for Sony's State of Play - happening at 2:30 am tonight Sony is also conducting the SoP in Japanese, so I hope they announce something big. Don't see the Japanese people being excited for Deathloop and Indies.
  5. Thanks for the example. If I remember right, there were a lot of these kinds of people. I remember there were some people even here who were interested in Switch since past 2 years, and then decided to wait on the Switch Pro - which has never even left the rumor mill till now.
  6. I said this before - but please read A New Spring before you go any further. Even the kindle edition is fine. It really will lose it's impact if you delay it till the end of the series. Anyway of the 3 Sanderson books, I would say Book 12 is the weakest. Book(s) 13 and 14 are going to blow you away. The entire Black Tower/Loghain's Arc, Mat's Arc and Final Arc is just :Chef's kiss: Anyway hope you enjoy the series and the kindle!!
  7. Mobiles also release newer models, with far better specs every year. You want to follow that? Imagine what havoc it will play on both devs and customers. Anyway the point really is moot. New 3DS was a one-off. And it was not well received at all. There are barely any games that are "Full exclusive" to the new 3ds, and almost all received Switch ports because Nintendo and other devs wanted people to actually play and experience those games. Same happened with the Wii U - which was a decently powerful console for it's time. It flopped so hard that almost all Wii U games have received Switch ports, so at least some people would play the game. Nintendo is out of the high graphics game - precisely because historically they have flopped hard (except the freak Wii with it's Wii Sports). There really is no point in a Switch Pro. Existing Switch owners are very happy with the current Switch. Heck, even new adopters and buyers are happy. The entire fiasco is the fault of the so called "Insiders". Nintendo equivalent of Xbox's Jeff Grubb. These so called "Insiders" have been screaming "A New Switch Pro" before almost all Nintendo Directs since 2019 at least. This has led to confusion among a lot of new buyers as to whether there really was a new model or not. With many sales being lost as people decided to wait for the so called "Pro" Version, and what if it was the same price as the original Switch. I would not be surprised if the OLED model is to get these "Insiders' and career rumor mongers to shut up. Another example why these "Insiders" are harmful to the industry. No wonder Sony went after them.
  8. It's literally the same devs. Capcom is there in Nintendo, they are there in PS/Xbox. Same for SE, SEGA/Atlus, Level 5 and all other devs. As are all the other devs. Other than Nintendo themselves - devs are all common across platforms. The difference is - if they want to make experimental games, try out really new stuff - but don't want to splurge on the bills of Graphics, Mo-Cap, Star Voice Actors, Symphonic Orchestra Music by legendary composers and all - they will go to the Switch. When they do splurge on all the above - they go to PS/Xbox. The problem is - when devs allot a huge budget - they can't allow the games to fail. So they generally don't experiment. They stay on the tried and true games. The market on those consoles also only accepts those "tried already" games. Devs can go bonkers on Switch and PC. Those platforms accept anything and everything. They can't do so on PS and Xbox. I'll take example of Nintendo themselves, since they are the most famous. Imagine if they had made Zelda BOTW for PS4/PS5/XOX/XSX. They allot the AAA budget and make bonkers graphics. They are very much capable of that. But because the gameplay itself was new - the game flops. An entire huge budget is down the drain. On the home console side of things, that's why we have proven titles. Stuff like ES, Doom, GTA, RDR, Uncharted, TLOU and all - they will never fail. They are a known quantity. So the AAA budget goes there. I think this is Nintendo assuring people that there will be no exclusive games on the new Switch. Seriously, Nintendo is only competing with themselves (and maybe mobile). This guy is not Don Mattrick's equivalent. Simply because the "Upgrade" itself is not a big one. This "Upgrade" is more akin to PS5 and PS5 Slim. Nintendo does not care which version you buy. Eventually, the normal Switch will be phased out and only the OLED versions will be available.
  9. This will probably be the next SKU announced. OLED Screen is built for Lite. Docked looks great by itself. At least think of this fact - Nintendo developed and Greenlit the game in the first place. Yes CEMU can do better. Also, traditionally emulators have done better since history. But if Nintendo had gone the way of the other console makers - gameplay would have been far down the list. First would have been stuff like improving the assets, animations and all - which frankly all platforms can do far better, but which would have taken away from the gameplay. That has been Nintendo historically. They (and 3rd party devs) know they won't be able to compete in graphics ever. So they have to make an industry leading game inspite of that. It's why their creative juices have to flow and ideas have to come to make gameplay specifically better. Also, you are ignoring portability altogether. Switch is a Handheld. If they had put all the bells and whistles (4k and all) - how long do you think the batteries will last. Handhelds live and die on their battery life. Also, I don't know ehich TV you are using, but on the one I'm usinng - Switch looks great. Not even close to the home consoles obviously. But it looks good enough.
  10. Really though? Zelda BOTW is no graphical powerhouse. But it set the trend for Open World games, and now others are trying to ape it. SMO is no graphical powerhouse. But it had a damn innovative gameplay, and now others are trying to ape it, including games like Ratchet. Smash Bros is a really innovative fighting game, and is one of the leading fighters in the industry. The kart games are really innovative. If we go into big RPGs - Xenoblade games have a masterful story plus a really innovative gameplay. Fire Emblem is an absolute blast, and one of the most premier games in the SRPG segment, which every dev ignores. Nintendo is the only one who game Platinum the time of the day when they pitched Bayonetta 2 - when none of the other major "Powerhouses" did. Even the 3rd parties put all their innovative, experimental and creative games on the Nintendo platforms. Games like The World Ends With You, Phoenix Wright, Professor Layton, Etrian Odyssey, Bravely Default, Radiant Historia, Monster Hunter Stories and many more. All of these are not indies. All are from major publishers like Square Enix, Capcom, SEGA/Atlus etc. who reserve their "high Graphics" games for the PS and Xbox. Yes, the major home consoles are "technically" great and can achieve all those games. But the market demands only high graphics games over there. And high graphics games, are for the most part - either by the numbers repeats (Ubisoft types), established huge IPs or going off a really innovative formula that came on the Nintendo platform or PC platform first anyway. Very rarely do we see a proper major new genres start on the home consoles (The last I can think of is the Soulsborne which started way back on the PS3). Even 3rd party JRPGs with low graphics like Octopath Traveller, Shin Megami Tensei, Ni No Kuni etc. came to Nintendo before moving to other platforms. The demand for low graphics games in home consoles is just not there. You can even look at it right now. How many people are honestly excited for games like Deathloop (PS5) or Grounded (XSX)? These games are also not indies, but from huge developers (Bethesda and Obsidian respectively).
  11. The thing is - Switch does not need power. It is not a console based on power or pushing graphical boundaries. Switch is the only console that follows the original game dev mentality - "Use the complete, limited power at your disposal and create the most fun and innovative games and gameplay that you can think of". This "upgrade" essentially also closes the door on any exclusive game coming to a new "upgraded" Switch console. There will be only 1 more new SKU - A Switch Lite that has the OLED Screen. Nothing else after that. It will then be the time to put out next gen or Switch 2. Remember, Nintendo is not competing with Sony or MS. Any competition they do is with mobile or themselves. A "Switch Pro" is not likely to bring in any gamers from the mobile segment. What it will do is cannibalize the original Switch and Switch lite sales.
  12. Enjoying them is great. Even I do. But in the announcements game - people are not looking for indies, but games from their favorite franchises or favorite devs. Think about it. In the E3 Nintendo Direct, if they had made a full indie show and nothing but indies instead of showing Zelda BOTW2 or Metroid (absolute silence on both), would that be fine? For me personally, if the choice is between showing indies or announcing a new Persona game (my fav series), I would be very disappointed if they are going with indies. Especially since this was supposed to be Sony's show in place of E3. A random SoP or Direct showing only indies is fine. Not a major fest one.
  13. Can you blame people? Indies can be great. But when a major console maker misses E3, keeps quiet for a very long time and when they finally break their silence - it's to show Deathloop (A game very few people car for) and indies; people are going to be disappointed.
  14. You guys are forgetting the most important part - "Indies" They can easily take hours. Just look at how much unknown "new" games are there is Steam each day, and you will find indies show can last years if Sony wants it to. They are also on a bad press with indie devs, so they might dedicate this SoP to indies. Anyway FF16 is out. The game is already announced. the next reveal will be a proper SoP showing the latest Gameplay. It will have it's own dedicated SoP. FF7 Remake Part 2 is also out, at least until FF16 and FF14 Endwalker releases. If we are seriously lucky, we might just about hear an announcement for Shin Megami Tensei 5 coming on PS4/PS5. Keep your expectations low - really low. I don't think there will be any new major announcements from Sony this year. Nintendo and MS have taken the Gameshow awards this year anyways.
  15. This is blatantly false. I've used the USB method on 2 different PS4s. It works exactly the same as Cloud. You could save on USB and use the save on another PS4 so long as the PSN account was the same and you are logged in.

I've only started playing, so I won't be able to comment on the overall story. But from what I played - Gameplay is really smooth and fun. There is full controller support and the game is pretty fun with controller (I'm using 3rd party 360 controller on PC). Music is decent (Nothing compared to Persona though). Game is fully voiced with both English and Japanese dubs. VA is great in English. The beginning parts of the story are interesting enough. Gameplay is really fun. I've only finished the Prologue, so I've not unlocked a lot of abilities. But even with the starting kit, it's really great. I love dodging, attacking close range and then suddenly dodgling away and using the environment to throw things like cars on the mobs with psychokinesis (The ability you start with). There are other powers as well, but that will be unlocked later. There is a proper leveling system and skill trees to customize your fighting style, so it's pretty fun. Dialogues are great so far and the NPCs have a sense of individual personality with some being good friends, some being too arrogant, some being your superiors etc. Your team is also pretty diverse. So it's all good in that front till now. I started the game with the guy (Yuito), and his team is pretty good. The other character (Kasane) will have her own team and story, but since I did not select her - I can't comment on it. There is an anime opening, which is great. I'll have to see how many anime cutscenes they give us (Persona 5 had a lot). One negative point I have to say is that many cutscenes are like comic pages, with characters standing still and cut heads talking. That's a minor negative though, sine you get used to it, and the conversation is fun. PC port is decent/great. I'm able to max out everything and the frame rate is a locked 60 fps (Will probably go more, but my monitor is 60 hz, so I locked the frames to 60 fps). Don't think the game is too demanding at all. Steam download size is around 16 GB. That's about all I can say from my short play-through till now.
  17. If your Kindle has no Backlight, I suggest you go for the new one. These days even mobiles have warm back-light. Kindle Oasis is much easier on the eyes, and the bigger screen genuinely helps a lot. Physical is still the best for eye care purposes, but Kindle Oasis does come 2nd. Anything without the Warm Backlight, you should avoid. Very long reading spells with the Blue Light being bombarded in your face continuously - that's not good at all.

Sony is going after insiders who leak PS games though https://www.altchar.com/game-news/sony-are-cracking-down-on-insiders-who-leak-info-about-playstation-games-alFT44u0m7j6 They of course won't go after anyone who leak MS news or 3rd party news. That's up to respective publishers.

    Tales of Arise

The Opening Anime to Tales of Arise It's done by UFOTable, the same guys who did the Dmon Slayer, Fate/Unlimited Blade Works, Fate/Zero etc. animes. They are one of the best anime makers in the industry. I'm hyped for this game. Hope it comes out soon!!

I doubt anyone can go after him. Right to free speech and all that jazz. Yup, Monthly commitment with only Gamepass. That is, you get access to GP, but no access to Xbox Live Gold/Xbox MP. The problem with free trial also is - once a free trial is over, you can't use it again on the same account. And saves are tied to the account AFAIK.

    Scarlet Nexus

No, I'm talking about 3 months for 150 Rs. The problem was - when I initially took GP, I was only interested in GP. GPU was useless to me, since I did not use MP on my One X or Live Gold (Still not am interested in MP on either console. I only keep PS+ for Cloud Saves and free games mainly). During those times, GPU library was not this big, and investing 7k Rs seemed a waste. So now my free trial is over, and I have to pay 900 Rs/month if I want to renew GPU. That said, Scarlet Nexus is not in GP and there is no point in waiting as well, since Steam is giving such sweet regional pricing. Not only that, by the time the game does land up in GPU, the Steam price might itself drop to such a level that it will be a choice of 900Rs/month rent or 1000 Rs/month to own. Seriously, Sony and MS should recommend and allow Regional Pricing in Consoles (At least in Digital). Many devs are perfectly willing to give regional prices, considering they do it on Steam and Epic without compulsion. I think Sony and MS mandates that the game prices should be the same throughout the World or some such sh*t.

    Scarlet Nexus

Finally thought f**k it and got Scarlet Nexus on PC. Steam Zindabad!! Regional Pricing Zindabad!! 2k for the game and 2.5k for the Deluxe Edition. Such a beautiful price compared to consoles (4k for game and 5.2k for Deluxe Edition or 900 Rs/month rent since my GP free offer is finished.) Don't mind saving 1500 Rs and missing out on haptics.

    Scarlet Nexus

I was talking in comparison with Switch. If you want to compare, you should compare sales of this game with a similar title, like say Astral Chain. Sales in Japan, specifically, when compared with Switch, makes even PS games look like a joke. Xbox is of course never going to sell. Their only hope is xCloud, because that will give games on mobiles. That has the potential to give MS Japanese money. If you want to set Japanese markets on fire - Switch/Mobile is the way to go.
  24. roun90

    Scarlet Nexus

Frankly, putting it on Xbox is sending it to die. Even with Gamepass, it would still die. Putting it on PS would have made it a little better. But if Bamco truly wanted Japanese sales, they would have put it on Switch. Portables and mobiles are what rules Japan now. Until xCloud comes in - everything has to be on portables or mobile in Japan. There is a reason all Japanese devs are either going completely handheld or pushing for simultaneous releases Worldwide. They know pure console games in Japan will not give much returns. The saving grace is that Japanese devs have now understood that even the West likes games in the style of "Made for Japan" and they are no longer trying to copy the Western Devs the way they did during the PS3/X360 days.
  25. On the console, check your library. It will show the entire list of games you've ever purchased and played. Your PS+ Games should be there. They are hidden from the tiles if they are not installed or played for a long time. Alternatively, you can also look at the PS+ Tab. They should show up there. If you remember what game (s) you added from PS+, you can search on PSN as well. It will show the option to download instead of buy (if it's added to library).
