You will be missing out on quite a lot! It's not just the story! It's even RCPD and areas outside it! Also it's not 2 playthroughs - it's 4 - LEON A&B and Claire A&B! Playthroughs have all new areas to explore, new story and heck - you'll only get the ending properly after doing all that!

If these are the kind of cutscenes and story beats the game will be going for - it's killing my motivation to ever try the game. It's like I'm listening to a teen cringe drama fest. Thankfully the last few months were filled with games and we're not in a gaming draught. But it's pretty sad what DA has been reduced to - if this is the kind of cutscenes the game is having. This is even excluding the woke elements.

It's not a surprise frankly. If you're a WoW Player - you'll know that this is a Gold Farmer Mount. So a lot of people who play with gold will buy this mount. It'll make them real-life money too because Gold Selling for MMOs is a very Real thing. For you and me or anyone else who plays it like a game- it's very expensive. For a Gold Seller or anyone who games the Auction House in game, selling mats, gold etc - it's an investment. It'll save them real life time, loading screen time, flight time etc. A lot of people are going to make real life money out of this mount - so naturally, it'll sell well only! They'll extract far, far more value than the $90 they spend on it! So this mount is irrelevant to gaming war discussion. It's a real career to people (though it's against MS/Acti-Blizz TOS - MS/Acti-Blizz don't really care as far as I know)

Started the game yesterday! The beginning is so intriguing - high politics and GOT vibes, a mysterious intriguing intermingling of what seems to be our modern society and fantasy society + fragmented racist society - all in the first 30 mins or so that I played. It's turning out to be pretty good (at least in the very beginning)!!

Are 1/2 the games even in development? Fable and Avowed we've heard from almost launch of the Series console and not much development (Other than 1 gameplay vid for avowed). Don't think a new Halo was even announced. And the rest are all MIA as far as I know. Not sure if it'll be a situation like Hellblade 2 too, now that I think of it - hyped as the showcase game of the entire console market for years, turns out to be a 60-70 meta game. Hopefully for the sequels at least (Like Gears) - they continue the formula (Like they did with FH5), so it turns out good!!

Alarming thing is - I don't think there's much hype for it. Usually Bioware Games used to be celebrated. Now Larian has fully taken the place of Bioware and if they announce a DLC for BG3/BG4 or Divinity 3 - the amount of hype would be far more than what's there for this or even a new ME (which is pretty sad). Even I'm not that excited frankly (Though I might/might not get it, not sure when or if). Compare the hype of DA 2/Inquisition/ME2/ME3 or even Andromeda to Veilguard and it's pretty sad (And Andromeda had far less hype than others on the list)

Why do these "Companions" from Veilguard give me more Fable Vibes than Dragon Age Vibes? DA used to have some serious story beats and the silly and cartoony stuff was more of Fable's jam

Not sure how they'll do it since Cheapest Steam Key (as per Steamdb) is 12,64,000 Vietnam currency (which equals around 4.2k Indian Rs) - if you exclude the stolen card stuff etc! Only Steam though, not sure about Xbox keys

Talked to a retailer near me! He said India will get official copies (PS5 Physical version) by 20th for 3999 Rs. Not sure how correct that is - but he's generally been correct in previous releases! 5700 Rs even for Steam version is too much!!

This gen we have 3 games as of right now that will benefit majorly from PS5 Pro - 1) Black Myth: Wukong 2) Cyberpunk 2077 3) Final Fantasy XVI And 1 more game coming that will take advantage of PS5 Pro - 1) Grand Theft Auto 6 Not sure if sum total of 4 games is worth the 60k price (Assuming that's what it sells for)! Not to mention - by the time GTA 6 releases PS6 will be on the horizon and it'll be a much better version than PS5 Pro. I can also see the top 3 games releasing on PS6. FF16 also runs pretty well and offers full 60 fps if you play it in Gameplay Mode (Though at cost of resolution). So PS5 Pro seems to be too little too late for what it offers frankly.

I'm not sure they had a choice! Indy is Disney property after all - and they'll try to maximize their profits. At the end of the day- Bethesda was only a development contractor who happened to get acquired by MS There's no point for Disney to hide the fact that game is coming to PS (Bad for Disney, good for MS - and Disney has to look out for themselves)! MS got the best deal they could get I guess - 3 months exclusivity and being able to hide exclusivity status for at least 3-4 major games shows and earning PR Brownie points

Well, well! Now even Bethesda SP Game like Doom is coming on PS5! Seems exclusives are truly over from MS side at least!

Finally we're back after almost 3 months!!

With PS5/XSX Gen - the main difference that came was choice. Almost all games had a choice - you either play at 30 fps with full eye candy (still lesser than high end PCs) or 60 fps smooth gameplay with less graphics (some games even giving 120 fps with even lesser graphics) This was the only major change in this gen. RTX alone is not worth a new gen and graphics change from PS4 to PS5 gen is not drastic. Remove the 60 fps option and suddenly this gen seems not that worth it! So people are giving a lot of importance to 60 fps mode

Wonder when we'll get to see Godzilla Minus One! That movie has huge ratings (8.3 IMDB/98% RT), but neither did it release in theaters nor is it in OTT or anywhere else! I was really excited for it!

For Bioware, their support of Trans and LGBT rights is not new and it has been their view long before the Pride Movement even started. Even way back as Dragon Age 2 and Dragon Age Inquisition they supported Trans and LGBT rights from what I remember. For them, I think this is not a checklist but their genuine opinion.

Not that surprised. It came to PS5 after such a long gap - they would have worked on and improved it. I'm sure these improvements will be patched into XSX and PC versions soon too! For this to happen - MS should actively manage and bring out the best in their studios. They are not able to do that!

That is exactly the point I was making! They were Premium before MS acquisition, had serious talent and were competing with Larian for best RPG Developer Category. If MS used them efficiently - they would have some of the best RPGs in the market exclusive to their platform, capable of 909 Meta with proper management and funding. There would have been no need to acquire Bethesda for Elder Scrolls too. But now - even Bethesda is doing poorly under MS (BGS was doing poorly even before, but now even Arkane etc. have joined that pile)!

For some reason - MS isn't able to get their studios to give their best. Something which Nintendo and Sony are able to do really well. MS has some really premium devs under their belt - and didn't even need Bethesda and Activision to give Sony a run for their money. Obsidian is such a premium developer. They were competing with Larian - when they were developing via Kickstarter. They made gems like Pillars of Eternity and Outer Worlds. When MS took over - they were stuck making a Video Game Version of "Honey I Shrunk The Kids" and no CRPGs at all - which was their forte. No idea what the rest of the 2018 acquired companies are even doing. For the new "Big" acquisitions - Arkane went from Dishonored to Redfall under MS's watch. No new Wolf or Doom games announced. Nothing from Activision on Gamepass too (Ideally COD and WoW should be on GP Day 1) Even their In-house studios used to be Halo/Forza/Gears/Fable. Then it became Halo/Forza/Gears. Then Halo/Forza. Now only Forza remains as no new Halo after Infinite. Only their Age of Empires Games on PC is doing really well and receiving proper support.

If this is the case - then I think they'll schedule the BB Remake for PS6 launch, just like they did DeS Remake for PS5 launch. After all, they'll need at least 1 game that's Next Gen only once it launches!

What will just stores coming to XSX/XSS do? The same games available on those stores are already available on Xbox (Minus the legions of Steam RPGMaker and other extremely small indies no one ever hears of but keep coming)! These PC stores coming on Xbox (Will mostly be on next Xbox, not Series Consoles) means they're going open source, 3rd party and abandoning their game selling store front (Not GamePass) GamePass will live and come to other platforms too I think! After so many acquisitions and spending, no way will shareholders allow GamePass to go away. Even Satya Nadella won't be able to make that happen I think! It'll come to Nintendo (Most games via Nintendo Cloud/Streaming) and Sony too (Mostly it'll not come directly, but I think they'll make a deal where they put their games on PS+ in exchange for fees/commission I think). I think, after all this, the day GamePass dies is the day MS gets out of the Video Game Industry altogether - which will not happen.

I'm playing mage. Will change/upgrade to Sorcerer soon (It's not a spoiler - 2 vocations are locked until you reach the very first city and do 1 quest - Sorcerer for Mages and Warrior for Fighters)! Mage is a DPS/Support class combo - can dish decent damage, but needs time to incant spells, can heal yourself and your pawns and can buff yourself and your pawns. But looking at Sorcerer - it's just crazy. There's very less support options but the spells they can do and damage seems to be epic!! Look at the vocation spotlight trailers Capcom released on YT once if you want to! Highlights the abilities of each class in a really nice way!!

No, FF games are not related unless they are specifically mentioned as part 2 of a game. For example, FF8 or FF16 is not related to FF7 at all, but you have FF7 - Part 2 (FF7 Rebirth) which is related and a pure sequel to FF7 Remake. Same way - FF11 is not related to FF10, but FF10-2 is a sequel to FF10 etc. You can easily play FF16 after this game. Story will not be related at all. There are only some small things (Easter Eggs) that are there across all FFs - but even they are not related. For example - there will always be a character called Cid in every FF game. But the Cid of every FF games are completely different people unrelated to each other, there will be chocobos etc.
