I would agree with you. But around 5 weeks of Night City Wire - Chest Thumping that all choices are going to make a massive difference; origin will be a major factor that will completely change your story and will require 3 play-throughs; Night City would be the ultimate Cyberpunk with really innovative cars and weapons and lot more. All this after coming straight from Witcher 3. Look, I understood that there was no way CP will ever meet the expectations. On PC, game would have been excusable. But why did CDPR feel the need to come out and lie for around 5 weeks straight just before the release of the game? That's the hard part man

You forgot to add a fourth category - People who bought it, are playing it without a hitch (on PC) and still complaining about it (sometimes) because of broken promises and the seeing all the massive potential of what it could have become wasted.

Heard a lot about the game, so I brought it. Though I've not started playing it fully yet (seen only start till now), it seems pretty good. Heard a lot that this is one of the best sci-fi games this gen, so wanted to see what it was about. Also, the game was on sale in PSN India last week. I got it for 2350 Rs.

I'm playing on PC and I'm liking it quite a bit. I don't need to refund, the game is running very well for me. The game is great, my stealth combat build is absolutely fun, main story is really good. But I will tell this - this game would have been far better as either a linear game, or an open world like Witcher (i.e. big World not limited to one city). As the only hub - Night City fails. The "Cyberpunk" aspect is only a window dressing. This game could have been set in any period which has cars and hacks available (Modern, Cyberpunk or Sci-Fi) and it would have made no difference. Other games set in cities have so much stuff to do over Cyberpunk 2077 - it's not even funny. Take any GTA Game, any Yakuza Game, Sleeping Dogs, Shenmue - all have so much content that the city feels really alive, and makes Night City look like a bad joke. Also why Cyberpunk? You really don't have much "Cyberpunk" stuff here. No character re-customization, car customization, flying cars and other staples of the genre. Just the city looks neon, that's about it. Is the game bad? No, it's great. But it seems CDPR does not know how to do cities/settlements well. Flotsam in Witcher 2 and Novigrad in Witcher 3 - both were the worst parts of their respective games. But at least they had other places to explore. Unfortunately, CDPR made an entire game only on a city (Night City) which was not their area of competence it seems. Also, their broken promises really did not help. Why the heck does origin not matter at all beyond prologue (Other than random NPC Dialogue)? Also, it seems very limited choices. Nothing like the Witcher 3. Am almost on Act 2 and I've not yet seen any writing on the quality of Tower of Mice/Bloody Baron/Hearts of Stone etc. still. Which also does not help. It's a great game, but definitely not something worth 8 year wait. Definitely will take Witcher over this any day.

Only in the beginning. Up to Chapter 3/4 (I think) Yakuza 0 will open up and you can explore the map fully, with tons of activities. Then as you progress more, you will unlock even more activities and even a 2nd explore-able city with it's own activities and side quests. And by content, I mean tons and tons of content. You will soon be able to spend 100s of hours without even touching the main story. The side content will also have their own goals and their own stories as well. But the main story is excellent - maybe one of the best in gaming. Yakuza 0 has a stunning story, and some of the best characters. So in the beginning they have to set it up. So in the initial chapters, cutscenes are more and exploration is purposely limited. Just get through it. Believe me, the payoff is well worth it.

Stern warning for what? Does he deal in official stock as well? The only leverage Sony India has is if he's dealing in official stock - as they can stop official supply to him. If he's Import/Export only, I don't think Sony has any leverage on him. It's not illegal to buy from abroad and sell - so long as you've paid all the required taxes. At least that's what I think. Note: This is just a guess and I'm not in any law field. Maybe @silica can clarify since he actually seems to deal in law?

Steam refunds are automated - which means once you pass the 2 hour mark, you won't get a refund. Also, you don't want to deal with Steam CC/rep - mainly because there is none. You won't talk to anyone (or even if you can, they will make you wait a long time). Even if Steam gets shut-down, people will be wondering what happened, there will be no statement and your enquiry will go unanswered. I remember it happened once - Steam was down for several hours, no one was making any statements. No way for Steam to go online. I thought problem was on my end - so I uninstalled Steam to re-install it. Found out, doing that deletes all Steam games on your system . Steam came back on hours later, and then found out that it was a mass outrage and a lot of people were affected.

Gears 5 for 224 Rs on Steam. If you add the latest Hivebusters expansion, total price is 753 Rs (Hivebusters expansion standalone is 529 Rs). If you want the Game of the Year Edition (which you should not, since it's nothing but some boosts) - it's 1299 Rs. For now, if you are interested in Gears 5, you can just buy it and leave aside Gamepass. Steam Page: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1097840/Gears_5/

Think mods are still limited though. On PC, there can be mods for everything under the sun. On Consoles, mods still have to be vetted and only mods that pass are allowed. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Yup, most probably no themes for you. If you had brought the US version, then you would have received the themes. But since you are using the Indian version, the game will not even record you receiving the trophy. Shame too. The themes were not just "Congratz here you go" Themes, but ones which were specifically designed for fans, made as awesome as possible, and was charged for in Japan. Claiming US themes is a mess. Many people had to actually contact PSN support and prove they had actually got the trophies in question with screenshots, not just uploaded it and have it mailed like EU. Don't think PSN US Support is going to entertain your EU Version of the game. I think US Atlus/Playstation did not even want to run the promo. They just had to after the stink fans raised due to EU Players getting it. Most probably, your choices now are to play it again in Indian/EU account or buy the themes with real money from JPN PSN (you will not be able to use the associated avatars though as that is locked to the purchasing account I think). As a last try, ensure your trophies are synced and check your email's promotion/spam tab. If it's not there, then bad luck. You can try to explain to PSN US/EU Support if you want though. Benefit for you is - since US PSN is your main account, those trophies will now count towards your overall level on your US PSN main account.

The Golden Compass (First book of His Dark Materials) was amazing!! Unfortunately, the remaining books are an absolute mess. Golden Compass had such a great thing going on. Why the f**k drag religion into it - all the angels, fall of man and all such stuff Could not finish it past the first book.

This is one instance where Developer (CDPR) had power over the console owner (Sony/MS). Other cases include devs like Rockstar. In other words - too big for platform owners to refuse. I doubt CDPR could delay the game any more. They had to keep paying all these years, but there will be no major pay-day and cost recovery till release. They started with development on PS4/X1 - but vision kept on expanding till those platforms could not handle it anymore. And yet, they could not refuse the sweet 200 million userbase. Neither could Sony/MS deny them. What will they announce - Cyberpunk will not come to our existing system anymore (And PS5/XSX is lottery so only 0.1% has it, so everyone will need a high end PC). They will have tons of curses heaped on them. This one is kind of on CDPR for not setting up realistic goals and maintaining them - instead promising the moon, finding out it's impossible and cutting down on a lot of the stuff, having employee troubles and in the end giving up and releasing it in "if it works - it works, we'll see the rest later" mode.

What does being an RPG have to do with the world being reactive? Tons of RPGs have reactive worlds. Did you see the World of Divinity? Pinnacle of NOC reaction - even more than many actual city settings. Heck, even in Witcher 3, NPCs followed a routine if you observed. I did in Skellige (it was wonderful actually). They would go to sleep at night, come out at crack of dawn, women would hang the washing, men would sit and smoke pipes, then if they had work - they would get to it. NPCs did not pop up and disappear like here. Also, WItcher was set in a World. CP is set in 1 city. When you are set in 1 city - you have to give tons of activities in that 1 city as well. Something that's sorely lacking atm. Overall, what I feel till now: Game is good, story and all is good - but Witcher 3 quality, this isn't. I doubt CP 2077 is going into any legendary lists like Witcher 3 did. There needs to be far more stuff to do, the fact that it's a Cyberpunk and you can't customize vehicles is shameful, as is the fact that you can't re-customize your character. City "exists" but as a template. This need not even be CP, most probably with the content - you can have it set in modern or sci-fi and still have the game. Visuals are great (Can get around 45 fps Ultra at 1440p in my PC). But that's about it. Certainly, not a game people have been dying for for 8 years now. Will play more and hope my opinion changes.

As @SuperT said, you have to use your AoE (Or Ma- Skills) to hit all enemies' weakness and kill them at once. Also, a tip: if you are finding the boss too difficult -Do the opposite of what people do when a game is too hard. In other words, turn the difficulty to Merciless (The Max Difficulty). At Merciless, the damage you take is multiplied, but the damage enemies take is multiplied as well. You can easily kill the entire lot continuously in the max difficulty. This boss battle is easiest in the hardest difficulty.

50 SX vs 0 PS5 officially in entire India of 1.3 billion. Big whoopee!! The stock allocation in the country - it really does not matter. Most probably, grey PS5 of 1 lakh and "official " SX both sold the same amount(Maybe PS5 even has a slight lead lol). This is not how you do a launch. There's a term for this - Paper Launch or Launch in Name only. You cannot call SX launched here when buying it is equal to winning a lottery or getting a free give-away of Cyberpunk or something. As far as reducing those 300 units (if you include the extra 30 countries) affecting US stocks - it's like taking out a drop of water has affected the water stock of the entire ocean.

Based on polls, looks like no one chose the poor street-kid.

What a boring TGA Show. The entire 4 hours show in bullets - The Last of Us 2 looks in a direction, it gets an award (It's a great game, but not the god of games to get each and every award) - Bioware: We exist guys!! Don't forget about us! We can't show Dragon Age 4 Gameplay after 3 years, but it will come by 2025. Mass Effect lives as well. Please don't forget it. We promise (fingers crossed) to deliver a game by 2030 in true next gen (on PS6). Please keep bugging EA about these games or we will be shut down and lose our jobs - Crimson Desert, the only worthwhile game - Initiative Project has a name now. It's an old series called Perfect Dark. Don't know the type of game yet - Sephiroth is the mystery Smash fighter, old Yakuza games on GP and no new Kingdom Hearts or Final Fantasy News - New ESO Expansion cinematic trailer and new trailer for a game from creator of Dead Space (?). All CG of course - New indies!! - Definitely the most expensive VGA show, only because Keighly hired all Hollywood A-Listers to present like the oscars (Many of whom looked like they had just woken up from sleep and put on a suit). That about sum up the entire 4-5 hours of the show? Glad I did not get up at 4:30 in the morning for this sh*t

Did you enable the option to "Save an uncompressed Copy" of screenshots in Steam In-Game Settings? Those are far better than the standard screenshots.

KB+M cannot be beaten in aiming and shooting aspect though. So part controller and part KB+M?

Thanks, so you're saying I can play at high/ultra mix 60 fps at 1440p. That's great. Will dial a few settings down even more if necessary. But these days at least 50 fps+ is a must on PC. 30 fps on a monitor is just too jarring.

PlayStation vs Xbox vs Nintendo thread
roun90 replied to kmkaks's topic in News, Rumours and Discussions
That gap will always be there. For the simple reason that the Console Hardware will be static for 8 years or so, while PCs will not. AFAIK, PS4 was the equivalent of the GTX 670 - which was decent for the time. But was outclassed pretty fast when Kepler Cards and Maxwell Cards released (I'm not even counting Pascal). And yet, the PS4 could handle games like God Of War, TLOU2, Ghost of Tsushima, Spiderman etc - all of which were technical marvels of the time and a feast for the eyes. Same will happen here as well. PS5/XSX is equal to some RTX 2070 (appx) I think - which is decent for now. But as the generation goes on, devs - especially the exclusive developers will milk out every last drop, and we will be left wondering how such a weak hardware can handle such a mind-blowing game. -
What's your specs? I've not had the chance to play yet (work), but any idea what settings/fps I can expect on Intel 10700k + Aftermarket (Gigabyte Windforce) 1080 Ti + 1 TB SSD at 1440p resolution? Thanks for the help.

Thanks for the info! So it's 4:30 am in the morning day after tomorrow. Will watch it later in a recast. Too early for me.

How come? Game awards in on 10th, Cyberpunk is on 10th and tomorrow is 10th. Am I missing something? What would be the Indian time for Game awards then? Would be awesome if it's tomorrow evening instead of tomorrow/day after tomorrow at 5 am in the morning.

Woah! Lyn Inaizumi, the vocalist for all Persona 5 music is giving a performace tomorrow at the Game Awards Pre-Show. Seems Keighly is pulling out all the stops this year
