The only other open world similar to Yakuza I can think of is Sleeping Dogs (To an extent). An excellent game and too bad that it did not have any sequels Still happens, but unlike previous Yakuza games - the thugs will not pursue you. The mini map shows the cone of vision which the thugs can see. Avoid it - and they will do nothing. Even if you alert them, so long as you move just 2 cm or so out of their vision cone - they will just ignore you. Unlike the previous Yakuza games where they used to chase you from one street to the next and you had to duck into shops or something to avoid them.

Doubt Konami will sell MGS. It's a gold mine that will always be ever-green for both Pachinkos and Merchandising. It's also insurance should they ever get back to video games. Not to mention - the parting of Kojima and Konami was not exactly friendly. AFAIK, according to their "honor" they will rather leave the IP to rot or sell it to a dev who will ruin it than see it in the hands of Kojima or any publisher who will give it to Kojima to develop (Like Sony or even MS). Bluepoint is a remaster/remake studio. There is a world of difference between making a new game and simply taking an existing game and updating it's graphical assets. The first one takes a lot more genius and creativity. I don't see Bluepoint being capable of actually designing the new Levels, World, Lore, Bosses, Combat etc. needed for a Demon's Souls sequel better than what Miyazaki could design (Same for SOTC and Sony Japan/Team Ico). Asking them to make a new sequel to what can be considered "Legendary Titles of Gaming" is too much to ask for a studio who has not even made 1 title of their own. The fact that Bluepoint did not dare to even change the AI of any of the mobs/bosses in DeS Remake says a lot.

Sorry, I mis-read.

Intel i7 10700k costs 30k-32k (I got it recently).Don't know what retailer you asked, but if he's quoting 40k for i5 10600k - he's overcharging/scamming you. i5 10600k goes for around 20k-22k AFAIK.

This game is a mix of Turn based and real time, but in a different way than FF7R. In this game, you do select attack and skills and select which enemy to attack (Like in Persona 5 for example), but at the same time, you will have to input buttons to perform skills effectively, block at right times to parry etc. just like action games. Combat can be frequent, so you don't want to contiuously fight each enemy you see. You get plenty of fights in dungeons, story etc. There is also a strategic component in the game. For example, you can't just skip enemies at the front and go directly to the one at the back. The ones in front of you will block you. Both you and the enemy mobs also use locations to their advantage. For example, if there is a car passing by - there is a chance the enemy mob can throw you in front of it to cause an accident. There are also various jobs you can pursue - that will change how the character fights fight, what that specific character can do etc. That said, there is a ridiculous component to combat in this game. I won't list the things here because it's fun to see it first hand, but believe me - it can get ridiculous in absolutely hilarious ways. Overall, combat is quite fun, but can get tedious fast if you try to over-grind or go out of your way to fight - which is not at all necessary. That said, combat is not all there is to this game. There are tons of stuff to do and tons of mini-games. These "Mini-Games" would be full games by themselves in other titles and have their own story-line and everything. They can take tens of hours to get through if you're interested (They are not compulsory), but are absolutely fun. My favorite this time is a management game - where you take over a small Sweets Shop, and grow it into the largest shareholding company in all of Yokohama - beating up all rival companies, managing shareholders, managing banks and finances etc. They also re-created Mario Kart here with it's own story which is also really fun. These are only 2 mini-games I listed (There are tens of them). There are also various sub-stories in the city - which are mini-quests with small stories. These can be hilarious or heart-warming. Overall, having all such things make the city feel alive. It's an open-world game, but in a different way than usual. For example, in normal open worlds, you have huge areas to roam, but nothing much to do (Except a small check-list of activities). Here it's just 1 city (Though it's still big), but it will have everything you can do in a city. Difference of say - you can explore all India but do only a small check-list and visit a few landmarks, vs explore only Delhi or Mumbai, but be able to do almost everything you can actually do in IRL Delhi or Mumbai. About the story, I can't comment now. I'm only on Chapter 6 (Game is big, did not play much + most of the time I played was spent in mini-games especially management). This is just my view as of now, till where I've progressed.

Believe me - there is tons of action in this game. It's not much fillers. The ones people are comparing to might be comparison with the original FF7. That is to be expected. Since in the original game the Midgar Section is only 1 small portion of the game, whereas in the remake - it's a full on 35 hour game by itself. It's an excellent game well worth playing. That said, if you want more Persona, there is still Persona 4 Golden on PC. Though keep in mind that Atlus actually massively improves with each game and does not believe in stagnation (unlike 99% of the devs out there), so P4G will be a downgrade gameplay, graphics and cutscene-wise. Though it still has an amazing story and a very endearing cast of characters that will make you consider them friends and make you sad when the time for the game to end comes (just like P5).

Around 30 hours plus of brand new content (Far more than most "New" Games; OG game has almost 100 hours of content, so this one has around 130 hours-140 hours), Gameplay Changes throughout from the start of the game, new content also added in between the base game sections to expand on it (this is excluding the 30 hours+ of new content), improved graphics, new gameplay scenes and new cinematics (anime style), multiple new endings etc. The very fact that they expanded and completely overhauled the base game itself, with multiple changes in the base game is one of the primary reasons it cannot be a DLC and has to be a new game. In addition to that they also give you new live video concerts that actually happened in japan and were sold in Blu Rays separately, new optional missions and bosses, new mini-games, new areas to explore in-game, far more stuff to do etc. Very much worth a purchase as a separate new game.

Coming from Ghost of Tsushima, the combat in this is such a massive disappointment. The arbitrary "Power Levels" that ensure mobs 1 shot you while you do hack sh*t damage, lack of proper stealth or really cool moves. Playing Ghost of Tsushima before this is a mistake. Sucker Punch crafted a better Assassin Game in their very first try than Ubisoft who has been doing it for almost 20 years now. It's f**ing pathetic.

When is the VGA 2020 show btw?

Have you played Witcher 3 yet or is it the first time you're playing? If you're playing W3 for the first time - play it immediately and with both DLCs purchased. AFAIK for Witcher 3, PC was the best platform so I don't know what you'll experience on consoles or if CDPR will even release a next gen patch (Considering how much trouble they are having with Cyberpunk and the support they will have to give it, I would say Witcher 3 patch is very low priority on their minds.) 750 Rs for just DLCs is a steep price currently. The GOTY Edition itself goes for 300 Rs on sales in India. The DLCs are a must though. They have better stories and are more fun than the base game and in case of Blood and Wine has better graphics than the base game itself. At this point in time, for Witcher 3, I would suggest just play on PS4 Pro immediately. It's one of the best games there is and not to be missed. I don't know how much performance upgrade you are going to get in XSX and whether it's worth paying the extra 750 Rs. It's your call.

It's not elitism at all. What @lithuvien said is correct here. If you want to pursue music as a hobby - not make a career out of it, mind you, but just as a proper hobby and not give up after playing the instrument for 2 days while it's new and forget about it afterwards - you really need an instructor. Even to start with, you need an instructor - because that is where most mistakes will be made. That is also where most improvement will be seen. And without feedback, that improvement just cannot happen. As an example, if you're doing piano for example (I learned very briefly), the finger placement of a C Major song and a G Major song is different. And even while you are playing, it takes a lot of concentration - so you tend to overlook some mistakes. Even if you play correctly 2 times, you might make a mistake playing the same song for the 3rd time. You need an instructor to correct you. Those who are completely dedicated to music - like the video game "Pros" will learn and play all day. Those who just want to play as a hobby, will still need an instructor to learn to read notes, the fingering, to get a basic sense of the music etc. They will not do it all day like Pros, but there still has to be some feedback instantly, not next week. So you can get used to the music and play that particular piece easily. To note, even if you perfect a song, but don't play that song for some time - you will still have to practice and learn again. Your muscle memory will forget it. Just like if you leave a Dark Souls Game mid-way and come back to a hard boss months later.
-
I'll just put this here - but no, you can't learn music off of Youtube. Simple reason being, what you play will almost always sound good in your ears. But in actuality might be sh*t. Plus, you need someone to tell you where you are going wrong. All such stuff needs a dedicated instructor who knows music. So no, music can't be learned via YT, unless you are already an expert, know what you are looking for and where you're going wrong.Same for most other stuff that come under "Arts". It's not Maths or Science - where Khan Academy will get you through.
-
No offence, but the complainer sounds like a child and the developer (if he is one) like he is rushing to give out any BS excuse he can find.
-
Nah, Don't think so. I've purchased both PS3 and PS4 from Thailand and never had customs (Walk through Green Channel). If your friend is carrying it physically, don't think he will have customs either. Also, last I heard limit was raised to 1 Lakh per person, though I'm not sure about this. @HundredProofSam @adity Can you confirm since your in the industry (and purchased from abroad in adity's case) If you are buying via shipment/courier though - 100% you will attract customs.
-
It does have the present day Animus (Layla Hassan). As for being historically connected, I've not yet completed the game - but I think 99% a connection would be revealed either in base game or (most probably) DLCs. It's too early to say. I don't think they will leave Eivor as stand-alone.
-
In India? You might get PS5 DE for 30k when PS5 Pro is announced 4 years down the line. 30k by next year end is far too optimistic. Abroad- it will depend on demand. If PS5 continues selling like it is, you might not find much discount next year as well.

They can do that - if they don't care about performance on the Series S. Thing is, in PC - dev really does not care about your performance much. All the horrible ports that many times do not even perform well if you are at recommended specs attest to that. There is no central controlling authority on PC. It does not fly on consoles. Devs will have to submit the game to MS for certification first, before release. And if the frames are tanking hard on Series S - you can bet they are not getting that certification. Same for absolute major and innovative features (Like the Nemesis System I mentioned). Since Series S and X are part of the same gen - they will both have it or not at all. MS will not certify the game otherwise. With no MS Approval - no release on Xbox. If MS mandates 25-30 fps average, it will have to be that at the minimum. If MS mandates parity (Other than resolution and some advanced Graphics Features), it will have to have that as well. Hence in consoles, devs develop the game for the weakest machine first (Series S in this case) and work their way up, instead of the other way around. It's also the reason why you see stuff like Ghost of Tsushima on base PS4. Devs are using the maximum potential of base PS4, because they don't have to worry about any lower specs. But at the same time - it is holding back PS4 Pro. If there was no base PS4 and PS4 Pro was the minimum, you could have seen something far better, as the minimum standard would have been raised.
-
That is exactly what I mean. They will develop a game that runs fine on Series S and add some extra settings/fps for Series X. They can never make a game that will completely 100% use the full capability of the Series X, and at the same time whose very minimum requirements will be far beyond what the Series S is capable of. That's the Lowest Common Denominator. It's not just graphics either, it can also be features, engine, design etc. For example (From 3rd party side), Shadow of Mordor had the Nemesis System exclusive for PS4 and Xbox One. It was not there on PS3 and X360. Without it - it was a different game altogether. Well, they can't do it this time - because MS has mandated that Series S and Series X are the same generation and such massive difference with entire mechanics missing cannot be made on Series S. I'm not even talking of exclusives here either, which if they took full advantage of Series X hardware - will not even be able to run on Series S.
-
This is definitely true. Both are excellent consoles. And both have very different strengths. 1) Xbox has great Price Point and VFM (Except Series S in India.). As of now GP is a great value for money and provided MS continues in it's course, savings are going to add up over the years by a lot. If you are into mainly 3rd party games, want to buy almost all games, unable to get a PC - which can offer similar to lesser prices and just want to save money - Series X is the best console. 2) Sony meanwhile has some of the best studios and knows how to handle them. All the studios Sony has - such as Naughty Dog, Sucker Punch, Guerilla Games etc. were complete nobodies, before Sony took over and made them into the powerhouse they are today, capable of industry defining exclusives. In traditional consoles (i.e. non- Nintendo) Sony is the king of exclusives, that can blow people's minds away and use the console to the maximum extent. MS track record of managing studios (or heck, even maintaining relationship with 3rd parties for exclusive dealings) is miserable.
-
I'm not sure about this - but does Family Sharing allow for 2 different countries? I know Sony has in the past made some wide-sweeping account and IP Range bans here on suspicion of Account Sharing/Selling. Some friends of mine have experienced that. And having same account in 2 different countries seems less family sharing and more account selling. Better to err on the side of caution. At the very least, buy from a new account - so even if the account is banned, at least you will only lose 1 game.
-
I'm no techie, but this part is complete and utter BS. 1) No 3rd Party Multi-Platform game is ever going to use the full capability of the console. 3rd Party games will always be made with the Lowest Common Denominator in mind, plus add some extra settings and bonus FPS on top for the higher end consoles. The Lowest Common Denominator is the Xbox Series S. So the game will be made keeping Xbox Series S in mind (not to over-heat that), plus add some extra settings on top for Series X/PS5. 2) The true power of the console will only be used in the exclusives. And the consoles are capable of far more than you think. For example, see Ghost of Tsushima or Last of Us 2 running on Base PS4 (which was essentially a slightly above mid-range PC of 2013) 3) In line with point 2, Xbox Series X exclusives will always be hobbled, because those exclusives will have to cater to the Series S (Unless MS abandons that system - which will not look good for them at all). PS5 meanwhile, will not have that limitation, since it's not held back by older tech. The only limitation on PS5 will be if there is a PS5 Pro (in which case the base PS5 will hold it back). The Series X Pro, meanwhile will be held back by both Series X and Series S. This is just from my limited knowledge ofc. If someone knows more, please correct me.

AC: Valhalla is cross-buy. So if you buy PS4 version, you will get PS5 version for free and vice-versa. It will also support cross-progression, so if you play on PS4 and close the game and start it on PS5 - you can continue from where you left off on PS4 and vice versa. The problem is not AC. The problem will be with you logging in on PSN. AFAIK, Account sharing is forbidden according to Sony ToS. So chances are if they see continuous multiple PSN Logins on the same account from widely different IPs (Different Countries), there is a chance they might ban the account. Someone, correct me if I'm wrong about this.

I disagree. True Scandinavia (Sweden, Norway etc.) has not been done much (if at all). Going in the fjords, the mountains, the aurora etc. is magnificent. Medieval England has been done many times, but it's OK. I'm most excited for Medieval Ireland though (1st DLC), that's the home of the druids, the Fairies, The Wild Hunt, almost all Witcher Monsters etc. Egypt was absolutely needed. Greece was so-so. The Egypt one is already over - but I had actually hoped to see the true ancient Egypt - divided into the Upper and Lower Kingdoms and ruled by Ramses (Not the Greek Cleopatra). The time when Egypt was a true Superpower and the Wonders like the Pyramids were being built. Ancient Mesopotamian Empire (Babylon) is also left (Covers today's Iraq, Kuwait etc.). If they truly want to do exotic though - they should actually do Ancient India (During the time of Mauryas, Pandyas, Cholas etc). India was one of the most important trading hubs throughout history, so it will be absolutely wonderful if they do. Second is Ancient China - which was also a massive trade hub. But this one, I'm sure they will do as soon as they can settle on a "CCP Approved" Version. Ghost of Tsushima has satisfied the need for the ancient Japanese one.

This game is "inspired" (read: copied wholesale) from Dark Souls. You have a stamina bar, you attack, and you dodge hits - which costs stamina. Attacks are of 2 varieties - light attack and heavy (charged) attacks, which can break shields. Of course, the AI mobs and bosses are nowhere close to DS Levels (Till what I've played). I've not yet unlocked abilities, so will have to see how it affects combat. Overall, the game is on quite easy (on normal) The "Combat Tree" is more like used to improve stats. You have things like improve light melee damage by +10%, improve crit etc. You have 1 ability in the center of each tree that's an unlock (Unlock Assassination of more powerful enemies for ex.), but that's about it. There are also multiple trees, but all are obscured. To begin with - you have a choice of 3 trees. Going ahead with those trees will unlock new trees. But what those trees are - you don't know until you actually unlock them. The actual "Abilities" (i.e. new moves) though, are results of exploration. You find a book of knowledge - you unlock new moves. You don't unlock abilities via the skill tree. Also, you can't assassinate at the beginning of the game, you can only start the actual assassinations after the first couple of missions. You can explore before you get the ability to assassinate though. So keep that in mind. But with all that said, there is one thing I will say - the game and it's exploration is absolutely beautiful. Exploring Scandinavia and England, crossing the Fjords, looking at the Aurora Borealis at night, with the amazing soundtrack they have for this game. Jesper Kyd, who did the music for AC 2, Brotherhood and Revelations (The Ezio Trilogy), is back for this game. Along with him, they got back the composer for AC:Origins (Sarah Schachner) and the composer for the TV Show Vikings (Einar Selvik), and the quality is absolutely phenomenal. The side quests ("Mysteries") are more along the funny and ridiculous side, which are fun distractions, but can be ignored if you want. Exploration does help get "Wealth" though - which is useful for upgrading gear (There is limited Gear in the game. But all gear are useful and can be upgraded from trash status to legendary status. Along with stats and abilities, look of gear also changes). There are also "Artifacts" to find, though I've not yet hunted for those, to tell what they will do. Overall, this is actually a very good game. Far better than Origins and Odyssey (Till what I've played) and actually quite fun.
