Never say never.
But if they do end up releasing on PC it'll be EGS exclusive for sure. And that'll kick up more fanboy dust than people with PS consoles.
Problem with that is Playstation is one of the most profitable divisions of entire Sony WW Studios. They literally cannot afford to have PS Fail. Unlike MS with Windows they don't have much to fallback on.
And frankly, I hope it never happens. So long as Sony is interested in selling consoles, you will see high budget SP games like they are meant to be. The moment Sony gives up on PS and starts depending on game sales, you will start seeing GAAS Titles, MTX and other such sh*t. Because ultimately those are what's profitable for game sales (But unprofitable for console sales).
QD Games, Until Dawn Type Games, Indies and low budget games like Journey etc. can go to PC. Because once released and some 1 month passes, they lose their value. Hence you even see them on PS+. But high budget ones like new GOW games and all, no I just don't want them on PC as of now.

Ugh; I know we can get it at "Those Places". But still wanted to support the developers, and maybe see at a big screen while at it.

I figured it might be a fun watch from what I've seen and read.
No news about an Indian release as of now.
I doubt it will release in India. But can't rule it out completely either as vkaao has been bringing some international movies here lately (the Japanese movie Shoplifters had released here a month or so ago).
The movie will probably be slightly censored even if it does end up releasing here though. So just watch it now as it is readily available (if you know what I mean) and watch it again if it releases here later
WTF I didn't even hear about the Japanese movie's release. Would have loved to see it. Japanese movies are rare enough here as it is. Was it even released in Mumbai area?
Saw Train to Busan some 2 years ago on theatres, but they had brought the English Dub over here, and that definitely took away from the experience.
BTW any further word on that Anime movie Vkaao was supposed to be releasing here?

But since Marvel no longer has access to Spider-Man in MCU
Will Sony have exclusive access to it’s Video Game?!?
wasn't it a give & take arrangement
If true then obviously there wont be any sequel to Insomniac’s version
Not necessarily. Sony Pictures and Sony Interactive Entertainment are different. And Spiderman Video Game was by far the most successful video game adaptation of any of Disney's Properties, completely beating the likes of games developed by EA etc. Disney might test the waters with both Square Enix (Avengers Game) and EA (Star Wars), but ultimately, if they fail to out-perform Sony's Spiderman, they will just get back to Sony for it. True, we might see some stalling from Disney as a negotiation tactic for a while though.
After all, Disney has no Video Game experience. They have to depend on 3rd parties to manufacture those. And there are no emotions in business (Unlike among fans). Disney will ultimately do what it feels is best for it's share-holders.

Anyone have any idea if the Korean movie "Parasite" will release in India? Absolutely loved the trailer, and since I watch Korean TV Shows these days, it seems right up my alley. Looks to be one of the best movies of the year.
-
@Joe Cool Yes the merchandising rights were sold back to MCU, but that was a part of the negotiation as well.
From CNBC:
In the initial deal between the two companies, Sony would allow Marvel’s creative team to integrate Spider-Man into its cinematic universe and would put up 100% of the production costs. In exchange, Disney received 5% of “first-dollar gross,” or 5% of the ticket sales from the first day of the release, and retained the merchandising rights for the character. Sony, would reap the rest of the box office haul.
Source: https://www.cnbc.com/2019/08/21/spider-man-talks-breakdown-why-thats-bad-for-disney-and-sony.html
And frankly, Sony as owner of the IP, needed to make the money. Also do note that this was for the stand-alone films. Any assembled films like Civil War/Infinity War/End Game etc. - revenue went to Disney. So agreeing to Disney's 50/50 split would have been completely to Sony's loss.
@Aftrunner I would say it was a loss for both parties. Now that Phase 4 has started and previous greats like Iron Man, Captain America have gone Spiderman was one of Marvel's most important heroes. And Feige and Crew had completely integrated him as Iron Man's successor in MCU. Now that will completely go for a toss.
I do have faith in Sony though. They went into a bad Spiderman spell from Spiderman 3 onwards. But both Into the Spiderverse and the PS4 Spiderman game have shown that they have got their sh*t back together and can make some absolutely wonderful movies if they put their minds to it.
Also, I frankly don't want to support Disney for now. They are acting like big playground bullies. Based on MCU alone, they have made a virtual monopoly in the movie industry. And this is absolutely horrible for the quality of movies as a whole. What has Disney got right now outside the MCU? Star Wars - Ruined; Live Action Remakes of Old Classics - Absolutely Pathetic. If and when the superhero bubble bursts, the entire movie industry as it is now will be left in a very bad spot.
-
Now the MCU movie titles make sense -
HomeComing --> Far From Home --> Bye It Was Nice To Be Home
Disney must have planned this.
But seriously, I don't think this is a big loss. IMO Into the SpiderVerse was one of the best Spidey movies for me. Far better than the MCU movies. And Tobey Maguire's Spider-man 1 and 2 and legendary. The best Spiderman movies of them all. Only Spiderman 3 was messed up.
And in MCU, Peter Parker was actually becoming Iron Man 2.0 rather than Spiderman. Peter's own sense of identity and inventiveness was nowhere to be seen. And he had the entire Iron Man foundation backing him up. Something which the real Spiderman could never dream of. The actual Spiderman was characterized by being poor, always getting in messes and using his own inventiveness to get out of it. His personal life was a mess, and being Spiderman made it worse. Handing Tony's funds, tech etc. would have brought Peter to his knees. Here almost everything was given to him. Peter here dosen't hace as much problems as he would have faced in the comics/older movies. And almost all the problems he does face are of his own doing as a high-schooler rather than having circumstances forced upon him.
Also I have to agree - Disney was getting too greedy. Disney already had 100% of the income from merchandising. And this income is far, far greater than what the films make. Sony's only way to make money was through the films. And Sony also had to bear the cost of publishing and distribution while at it.
So f**k Disney and it's Monopoly Practices. I'm with Sony all the way here.

will the correct order still be to start with yakuza 0 after that announcement ?
Yes the correct order is - Yakuza 0, Kiwami 1, Kiwami 2, Yakuza 3, Yakuza 4, Yakuza 5 and finally Yakuza 6.
Judgement is stand-alone and you can play it when you want.
But do remember that the Remaster Collection is just as the name suggests - Remasters, not remakes. So gameplay and graphics-wise you might see some lower quality while going to Yakuza 3 Remaster from Kiwami 2.
Also, another good news for Yakuza Fans. There will be an announcement of a new Yakuza game on August 29, 2019.
This will not be a stand-alone game like Judgement. Rather it will be from the "Shin Ryu Ga Gotoku" Series a.k.a New Yakuza Series which will serve as the sequel to Yakuza 6, set in a post-Kiryu World.
From Source Article:
Sega will host an official announcement press conference for its new Yakuza game starring Ichiban Kasuga for PlayStation 4 on August 29 at the UDX Theater in Akihabara, the company announced.
The company is currently accepting applications for Japanese fans to attend the event. To apply, either follow the Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio Twitter account and retweet this tweet, or players of Yakuza Online can fill out this entry form. A total of 30 winners will be decided by lottery, 15 from the Twitter account method and 15 from the Yakuza Online method.
If you missed it earlier this month, Sega announced that the new Yakuza game’s female co-star would be Eri Kamataki.
What an amazing time to be a Yakuza Fan!!

I've already made a post in Gamescom Thread, so here I'll be focussing on new news
First: An Excellent News. All of the content that was cut from Yakuza 3 (Reason being that they thought Western Gamers won't understand it) is now restored. So the multiple side-quests and mini games that were cut out from PS3 version of Yakuza 3 are back. Several quality of life improvements are also made such as the inclusion of sub-story markers

Source: https://twitter.com/i/moments/1163903659656171520
At the same time, some Transphobic content (sub-stories) were removed from all versions of the game (Including Japanese Version)
https://www.thegamer.com/yakuza-3-remastered-transphobic-sidequest-removed/
Over at Yakuza 4, the character of Masashi Tanimura has been completely replaced with a new actor. This is the same as Pierre Taki's "Hamura Matsugane" character in Judgement, for much of the same reasons. Expect this change in the Western Versions as well.
From Source Article:
Yakuza 4's PS4 remaster will be hitting Japanese stores on January 17, 2019. The news came from the latest Famitsu magazine [Thanks, Gematsu] and also revealed a few details about changes to the game. The biggest shock is that protagonist Masayoshi Tanimura has been completely recast and will be sporting a new character model. Toshiki Masuda will now assume the role in lieu of the original actor, Hiroki Narimiya.
There is actually a lot of baggage associated with Tanimura's original actor. Allegations of drug use essentially ruined his career in acting and even led him to retire altogether. He was cleared in 2016, but the damage had been done and most companies ceased associating with him. Recasting him for this remaster is likely being done to avoid royalties owed for his performance.

Not much news on Yakuza 5 Remaster front as of now.

Finslly an announcement of some interest from Gamescom (At least to me)
Yakuza 3, 4 and 5 collection announced for PS4 Western release. Gameplay at 1080p/60 fps. Although you can buy the collection as a whole, game will be released one at a time -
Yakuza 3 - Slated for today, so any time now
Yakuza 4 - October 29, 2019
Yakuza 5 - February 11, 2020
Collection is already available to purchase on UK PSN, so I expect Indian PSN to put up the store page soon.
Game will be available only digitally for now, but Sega has announced a physical version that will contain all 3 games. The physical version will release on Feb 11, 2020 alongside Yakuza 5 release and will cone with 2 discs. One disc for Yakuza 3 and 4 and the 2nd disc for Yakuza 5. The physical collection will also come in a Steelbook case with 2 disc holders. It will also have a PS3 Yakuza 5 case to complete your PS3 Collection (Yakuza 5 was a digital only release on PS3). The trade-off of course is that you will be waiting till 2020 to play Yakuza 3 and Yakuza 4.
Source: https://www.thesixthaxis.com/2019/08/20/yakuza-remaster-collection-3-4-5-ps4-europe-us/
Now Yakuza 3 original on the PS3 had cut content on the Western Release (For ex. The Hostess Club, Mahjong, Japanese History Quiz etc. was cut on PS3 Western Release).
We have no idea whether the cuts are still there. It should not be as all later games had no cut content. But still it might be prudent to wait for repirts to come in.
Also hope they translate the mangas (actual real life ones) from Yakuza 5 comic book shops. This was in Japanese on the PS3.

@Chirag2001If you want to follow the story chronologically, play in the following order
1st - The PS3 Tomb Raider
2nd - PS4 Rise of the Tomb Raider
3rd - PS4 Shadow of the Tomb Raider
But these games are like Uncharted. Story is not that important and you can play them in any order. But know that if you play Shadow first, Rise and especially the PS3 Tomb Raider will seem like a massive downgrade, especially in terms of graphics. Same with if you play Rise first and then play the PS3 TR.
So just for that, I would encourage you to play on the order mentioned above.

Thing about Spidey - the IP itself belongs to Sony. So they could always have got Insomniac to develop it on a contract basis and it would have been exclusive anyway. No need to acquire entire Insomniac for that.

@chirag Thanks a lot. But these days I generally don't go for pure romance unless they've got an awesome story or funny etc. to back it up. Most of the anime I posted (Except Kimi no na wa and Seki Kun are what I watched when I was a teen, some 10 years ago)
Oh yeah, I forgot one. This is probably one of the most hilarious anime I've ever watched. This is a legendary anime/manga that won a ton of awards. It's not a straight up romance per-se. But there are some romantic elements. It's also damn funny as hell. It's about a person who is a Yakuza type character, who somehow becomes a teacher. And helps students in tons of ways. Also the students themselves are geniuses, and rebel against the teacher to run him out of school (They do that with all teachers). The other staff are also out to try to kick him out (Except the Principal) because as I said, he's a delinquent type of character. Again highly recommended, and this anime spawned a genre of it's own. It's called:
Great Teacher Onizuka:

@roun90 Thanks a lot, that was helpful!
Do you know any romance based anime?
Don't watch much straight up romance anymore, so will be posting a lot of older anime, which was damn fun and I loved when I was younger (Except one or two). Again with images, since it's fun. Some(At least one) of these are anime movies. Many are romance+comedy, though some may be serious (Will write if it's serious)
1) Kimi no Na Wa (Called "Your Name in English) (This is a serious anime movie):
2) Ah My Goddess (Romance+Comedy)(This is one of the cassics of romance anime and highly recommended)
3) School Rumble (Highly, Highly Recommended - You will die from laughter)
4) Tonari no Seki Kun (The Name translates to Seki Kun - Master of Wasting Time -A newer anime, but absolutely hilarious and will give you tons of ideas for school. The title itself should tell you for what)
5) Ai Yori Aoshi (Another classic romance anime. This is again absolutely hilarious and will hit you in the feels at the same time)
6) Fate/Unlimited Blade Works (If you want romance + action, this is the best; amazing animation by UFOTable - one of the best anime companies in the enttire industry as a bonus; An Amazing Story to boot as well)
Hope this helps and you enjoy

I haven't watched any of these lol.
Anyway I'm really hoping they're on Prime/Netflix, its more convenient.
Im pretty sure Vinland Saga is on Amazon Prime tho.
You're in for a treat. These animes have some excellent story-telling and are some of the best anime you can get. If you want a brief synopsis (descriptions I'm writing myself or taking from Myanimelist):
1) Astra Lost in Space:
This is set in the future. During this time, space travel is possible and has been perfected for ordinary citizens. Students of a school are to be sent to a summer camp on another planet, and to be left alone for a couple of days (Some 5 days or so before their teacher picks them up) so that they learn to stay alone and be independent. But after some time, while they are alone a wormhole suddenly opens up and transports the entire group some 5000 years away, and throws them into space. They somehow (luckily) find an abandoned spaceship there. But it's abandoned, old, floating around by itself. They somehow have to get to it, get it working and somehow have to survive and try to get back to their home-world
It's an amazing sci-fi space opera and adventure anime. Highly recommended watch. One of the best animes overall
2) Dr Stone:
One day, suddenly, all humanity is turned to stone. After several thousands of years, one boy is released from this petrification. Now, he must learn to survive and manage in a world where he, and some 2-3 more people are the only ones who are not stone statues
3) Vinland Saga:
A historical anime. This tells the story of the time during which Vikings were discovering America. It's the story of a boy called Thorfinn, who seeks revenge after his father was murdered. Again, another amazing anime.
4) Fire Force (Description takes from MAL*):
Year 198 of the Solar Era in Tokyo, special fire brigades are fighting against a phenomenon called spontaneous human combustion where humans beings are turned into living infernos called "Infernals." While the Infernals are first generation cases of spontaneous human combustion, later generations possess the ability to manipulate flames while retaining human form. Shinra Kusakabe, a youth who gained the nickname Devil's Footprints for his ability to ignite his feet at will, joins the Special Fire Force Company 8 which composes of other flames users as they work to extinguish any Infernals they encounter. As a faction that is creating Infernals appears, Shira begins to uncover the truth behind a mysterious fire that caused the death of his family twelve years ago.
5) The Case Files of Lord El Malloi II (Description taken from MAL*):
When Lord El-Melloi II, once known as Waver Velvet (Master of Alexander the Great in Fate/Zero), gets asked to claim his inheritance over Adra Castle, he travels there with his apprentice Gray to do so. But they are not the only ones called that way. The will of the previous owner states that the assembled contestants—including Luviagelita Edelfelt—must compete in a game of wits to win the castle.
6) To the Abandoned Sacred Beasts (Description taken from MAL*):
During a protracted civil war that pitted the North against the South, the outnumbered Northerners used dark magical arts to create monstrous super-soldiers—Incarnates. Now that the war has ended, those Sacred Beasts must learn how to make their way in a peaceful society, or face death at the hands of a Beast Hunter...
Nancy Schaal Bancroft, the daughter of an Incarnate soldier who met an untimely end at the hands of one such Beast Hunter, turns to hunting the hunter herself. But once she catches up with her quarry, she discovers hard truths about the lives of the Incarnates...
* MAL - www.myanimelist.net
AFAIK only Vinland Saga is on Prime. For the others, you have to unfortunately go for *ahem* sources sadly.

2) Dr. Stone:
3) Vinland Saga:
4) Fire Force:

5) The Case Files of Lord El Malloi II (Anime set in the Fate Universe, but without the Holy Grail War, Servants etc.)

You always say that haha but this is an remaster of a supposedly fantastic game, so isn't this an exception lol?

The game is excellent, legendary even. Of that there is no doubt. But the question comes - is the port quality any good? It was excellent on PS3, but they should not mess up on PC/PS4 etc. by introducing new bugs. And look at some PS3 game-play videos and see if it will suit you. Gameplay of Ni ni Kuni 2 is very different from Ni No Kuni 1 (IMO NNK1 gameplay was far better. It required some thought and gave more options, unlike NNK2 which was very easy).
If the above points are fine with you, then the game is very much pre-order worthy. Having played it on PS3, the story left me emotional by the end. And the game had the Studio Ghibli magic (Creators of master-pieces like Princess Mononoke or Howl's Moving Castle etc. anime movies, which are a must watch for everyone). The OST, Graphics, scenery, voice-work etc. are also amazing and it will make you feel that you are actually inside an anime.

I would stick with LG for OLED. Difference in picture quality is not that big considering the price difference between the two.
LG is also a very good brand. Whatever brand is up to you. But if at all possible, I would urge you to consider one 65" OLED and the othef 55". 65" makes a ton of difference and looks absolutely awesome.

For the 1st one, it will be whatever an OLED will cost at that time. For 2nd one, it is around 95k. Might stretch if i can get an OLED for around 1.15-1.2 lac at that time.
Sony A8F OLED will give you the most awesome picture quality. It's an absolutely awesome TV and one of the best OLEDs overall. Not to mention, Sony TVs have one of the best upscalers, that make rven 1080p content look almost as good as 4k. A9F is the latest, but Sony has jacked up price too much so I can't recommend it.
A8F 55 " is going for 1.75 lakhs on Amazon. You may be able to find it cheaper in brick and mortar stores.
https://www.amazon.in/Sony-138-8-inches-Bravia-KD-55A8F/dp/B07BWKVBYW
65" is going for 2.5 lakhs on Amazon. Again might be cheaper offline, and 65" TV really looks better over 55". Again might be cheaper offline.
Also as mentioned above, you can get LG C8 for 1.10 lakhs

Highly urge you guys to watch this movie (Japanese movie with English subs). The movie is called Survival Family
I saw it while travelling on a flight. I don't think it will release on theaters anywhere. But somehow, someone has uploaded the entire film with English subs on Youtube
This film is amazing. It's about what happens if electricity in the entire World is knocked out (A Solar flare basically cuts out the entire electricity in the World), what happens in the society and how a family (Mother, Father, Son and Daughter) adjust and survive. It's actually scary, because this has a realistic chance of happening. It's also scary seeing how much we depend on electricity for everything and how our reactions will have to be pretty much the same as in the movie.
An absolutely amazing movie, and I highly urge you guys to watch it!!
