DLC answers all about Isu. Sucks you have to play DLC to experience it.

Have the game and season pass. But the game is far too long. By the time I was ending Legacy of the First Blade, I got too burned out. Took a (quite big) break, but when I tried coming back - found I was not used to the combat anymore and was dying frequently or attracting too much crowd. So shelved the game once again. Would love to see the Isu story once I am in the mood to play it again.

But one good thing they have done is they are finally carrying forward the modern day story as well. At least they brought Desmond's successor in Layla Hassan and her story here progresses quite a lot (Unlike in origins, where she was there for 2 minutes and forgotten). Did not like playing the faceless Abstergo Employee/Assassin thing they had going on in Black Flag/Unity/Syndicate at all.

How does this compare to the first two games? Loved those but somehow this came across as a more low-budget sequel.

This is actually a very fun game. Combat is uber smooth and it's damn fun. But be warned - this game expects you to dodge enemies. You can't tank. And rushing headlong without planning into large groups of enemies is a recipe for suicide. But that said, you get used to the combat pretty fast. There are also various forms that you get throughout the game, and each of those forms changes how you play. For example, the gravity form (purple form) is based on heavy attacks while the thunder form (yellow) is fast attack based. Fire Form seen frequently in trailers is the mid-range form having both decent speed and attack. Each form also gives you new weapons (That have to be upgraded separately) which plays differently. For example, the default weapon is Fury's chains; fire form gives twin daggers, lightning form gives a spear etc. These additional weapons are used in conjunction with the base chains. Different forms are also required for different puzzles, and forms can be changed on the fly, in mid-combat if necessary. The game also focuses on Parry (Like Bloodborne) and the effect of parry changes depends on the form you are using currently.

Besides the combat, the music is really good, voice-work is also good and graphics are decent (not great, but decent). Story is just there to get you to play, nothing mind-blowing. But the cut-scenes are fun.

If you are playing on PC, I would not even wait for a Game Pass version. The game regularly goes for very cheap on Steam sales. Just get it then. it's well worth it. No need to use the 50 Rs trial on this game, use it for a far bigger AAA game (Like Gears 5)

  3. I'm supporting New Zealand this match. They deserve the World Cup for being so humble and such great sports after defeating India. Not to mention they are not one of the richest boards and the win will go a long way in promoting cricket there.

And the best part - they have a very real chance. Awesome bowling by NZ!! Roy, Root and Bairstow all gone quite cheaply!!

    Happy birthday buddy..

Rain is expected by 8 pm local time, so we will have full match. Yes it is going to be a tough chase, but if we can't chase a target of 240 odd in 50 overs, we don't deserve to be in finals.

I hope NZ would not even reach 230. The way Bhuvaneshwar and Bumrah are bowling, that is very possible. Not to mention Taylor will be new to the crease once again and will again require time to settle, unlike Bumrah/Bhuvi who can do wonders with the new ball (or will they still use yesterday's ball, so India can have a completely fresh one?)

And I agree, if India cannot chase 230/240, they don't deserve to be in the finals.

Also @Black_Hawk Happy Birthday!! Hope you have an excellent day and enjoy the match (Hopefully with a win as well)!!

148 in 20 overs is a great target with 10 wickets in hand. Easier than needing 230 in 46 overs.

It's not a great target at all. 148 in 20 overs (120 balls) has a required rate of around 7.4. If we convert it to full 50 overs (i.e. 7.4 is maintained for full 50 overs) then NZ has scored 370 runs. That's not an achievable target at all. We have essentially gifted them 140 runs. Because if we bowled full quota, game would have ended with 230 or so. And even 237 in 46 overs, it's still 237 off 276 balls (Required rate of around 5/over). As a rule, the more the overs got removed, the harder it was for us.And according to dugout commentary, in this pitch 270 is a score that India will find tough to chase.

148 in 20 overs can be done in T20 matches (This is the score of a slow T20 pitch). But in T20 matches (even in slower ones) because the pitch is designed for batsmen to score. Pitches are positioned in such a way that boundaries are very small, and pitch conditions are very ideal to hit boundaries. I once saw an MI vs RR semi-final in DY Patil Stadium some 10 years ago, and could not believe that the pitch would actually be so small. It looks big on TV, but it isn't. I would assume, this is not the case for ODIs. That they will have bigger boundaries, and the pitch is slow, even for ODI standards.

Not to mention, the Indian team has not practiced for T20 at all currently, and arein ODI mode. The only ones who can play T20 mode would be Hardik Pandya and (maybe) Rohit Sharma. No one else. That too against a team of bowlers like Boult and Ferguson, who can make Indian wickets fall like bowling pins if careless shots are played.

Anyway, point is moot and we have got the best possible outcome - full innings to be played today. The bowlers have (almost) done their job very well and target should be very small. Now our batsmen should finish it.

Just now rain has stopped.. Now what..

Oh no. Please come back rain. For at least another hour and half. Let our batsmen get a proper sleep. A good night's rest and a proper innings is what is needed for the game to be called a "Semi-Final of the Cricket World Cup".

Bhai saab, is pitch pe 148 in 20 is like scoring 200.

It is damn slow and outfield is wet, Only 6 overs of PowerPlay, we will be f**ked.

Exactly what I said. I said it was very difficult (equal to 300+ or even around 320 in full ODI terms). Where did I say it was easy?

@AtheK That will be a gamble. What if it rains in between but stops and we are stuck with a shi**y DLS again? And there is a certain amount of fun if you win the World Cup with all teams beaten (If England is the 2nd Finalist)

No. Shorter target will favour us. Rain please staahp !

Shorter target does not favor us at all man. Don't know where you got that. For example, if we have to chase 148 in 20 overs - that's an excellent T20 score. We will start the match at around 7 Runs/over required. Meanwhile, New Zealand has not touched 5 runs/over in today's match. So we will essentially be chasing a target of around 300+, if converted in ODI terms. That too on a pitch favoring bowlers, and a pitch designed for ODIs with long boundaries etc.

Meanwhile, if we had bowled the entire quota, I doubt New Zealand would even have reached 230. 225 if they are lucky. We have 2 overs each of Bumrah and Bhuvaneshwar Kumar, who are super-economical in death and would be looking at a run chase at around 4.7 runs/over required.

So really hope today's match is cancelled and we resume play tomorrow with a fresh mind.

Also @Black_Hawk @AtheKjust a question - if today match gets cancelled, we resume tomorrow from where we left off right? Or will the match start fresh again with toss and everything, essentially wasting today's efforts?

The rain has gotten heavier now according to latest update.

Good. Let it rain till 12 am (Indian Time). Let the match get washed out for today so we can play fresh tomorrow (along with NZ completing their overs of course).

  11. Frankly right now I'm hoping that it rains for so long that play is called off today. Too much BS with the DLS, and the match would be far too unfair for India if the play resumes today. Frankly, this is not how a semi-final of the most prestigious tournament of a sport (any sport) should be conducted at all. First preference should always be to fair play and conclusive result. Not some BS method developed just so ICC can be lazy and just say, hey we finished it off.

They will first preference is to finish the game today..

That's complete BS. So NZ gets away with playing a test match throughout - but India have to play a T20. Complete BS. Also, it's not like this pitch is going to be used for anything after today's match, or even that these umpires and players will be busy. Fair competition would be to postpone till tomorrow if too many changes are being made. No need to satisfy old Duckworth and Lewis if there is a reserve day handy.

So, 237 in 46 overs and 148 in 20 overs if it rains a lot. DLS is funny. Nz made 140 in 35 overs and we may need to make 148 in 20 overs emoji23.png

Doubt it. Tomorrow is reserve day. So I don't think they will take DLS today. If rain goes on for too long, they might just continue from where they left off tomorrow.

And yup, 148 in 20 overs is BS. NZ has absolutely no run-rate, but we would have to go above 6 RR to win. Complete BS.

  14. Just now, AtheK said:

He misfielded before too which went for four, he is slow off the blocks. He really needs to work on his fielding.

Yup, he needs to work on fielding. But his bowling is brilliant though. Other than that wide, he had tons of dots and also took off Williamson, which is not an easy task at all - especially the form Kane Williamson has been throughout this World Cup.

Anyway hopethe play starts soon. Would love to see the 100 overs game today, and not wait till tomorrow.

  15. Just now, AtheK said:

Tell me bout chahal, why is he playing, tera favorite ?

Other than the 2 mis-fields in the 45th over, Chahal was quite good. He bowled so many dot balls. That led to a ton of pressure. The bad shots of Williamson and Taylor - Chahal had a contribution there as well. And he could step up when Hardik got injured (Other than the 5 run wide in his first ball). He would have certainly better than Shami. Shami gets a lot of wickets - but he goes for a ton of runs. And if he cannot get wickets, especially in the 1st Powerplay, he is a very bad bowler. In the England match, Bumrah was building pressure in one end, and Shami was letting it out in the other.

As far as Kuldeep is concerned, I consider him equal to Chahal. So it's a good policy of Kohli - alternate them in each match (unless wicket is extremely spin friendly), so both of them are always in touch and not rust from not playing for too long. Remember, Bhuvi was rusty when he came back and went for a lot of runs. But today he was just amazing.

  16. The requirements make me think that it's a pathetic port, which will have performance issues. I mean, the game is not that great graphically in the first place, but you need 760 at the minimum to run on "LOW" at 1080p 30 fps. And a 1060 to run on "HIGH" at 1080p 30 fps again (not even 60 fps). WTF were they doing with the port for so long. By now the game should have been optimized to run at least at 60 fps with that card. And 1070 should be giving at least 120 fps at 1080p and 60 fps at 1440p.

And the price point at 3k INR. WTF, do they even care about the PC market and it's customers? Better to just get the game on console.

Yakuza is finally coming to PC for one.

Really hope Yakuza does well on PC. I see many PC only gamers under the impression that it's Japanese GTA or Sleeping Dogs. Hopefully, they are not disappointed when they find out Yakuza is like neither of those.

And they are able to appreciate it for what it is - an awesome crime/mafia story, amazing side quests and huge amount of content to do in 1-2 cities which make the cities feel real, instead of miles of empty wasteland.

Lol. I'm pretty sure this level will have a special one feature on our news channels on some slow news day.

Please No!! Let the media stay as far away as possible from anything related to gaming. All it needs is the slow news day you mentioned + some MP looking to earn fame and mileage by creating controversy, and our entire hobby would possibly go in the dumpster with strikes, court interference, censor board interference etc.

Gaming is perfect as it is now, with the media and govt. ignorant of it. We already had problems with Fallout 3 and DA:I, and that was without much media and govt. interference.

So, went to healing church and collected everything. Then when I thought to farm some echoes in cathedral ward for unlocking the key to Vicar Amelia considering its quite easy compared to old yharnam and much less creepy too. Some old witch type thing which was super strong killed me and I woke up in some jail.

Every enemy was way stronger than me. After dying a few times, I just rushed through the stairs to go up and unlocked the lantern. Somehow beat the 2 old beggar/witch type things and found something called moon and also found communion in healing church area. Any idea how to use them?

Anyways, got my axe to +4 and unlocked ludwig's holy blade and some 4-6 other weapons. Kirkhammer, saw spear, saw cleaver, threaded cane, rifle spear and stake driver.

Should I still stay with axe? People online really gush about ludwig's holy blade. Should I farm echoes for it? I have a lot of blood stone shards so I can get it to +3 immediately.

Frankly, all weapons in this game (even the ones you get at the very beginning) are viable. What weapon you use depends on your play-style, reflexes etc. You will find that while many of the vocal communities gush about Ludwig's blade, it's not for everyone. I personally preferred the Saw Cleaver (non-extended version), and the rapier form of Kirkhammer. This is because I preferred to get more hits in before having to dodge. Some others preferred the high damage of the bulky weapons (Ludwig sword falls in this category). There are still others who preferred the whip or spear. So you just have to try all weapons and see which you are most comfortable with. What suits others might not suit you and vice-versa.

That, according to me is one of the beautiful parts of the game. Weapons are not just numbers, that are to be thrown away as soon as a better one comes around. In this game, you use a weapon that you are most comfortable with, and you will grow more skilled the more you use it. Much like a real weapon, in the hands of a real warrior would be, I imagine.
