Mr. Kapoor comes home one night, and his wife throws her arms around his neck: "I have great news... I'm a month overdue. I think we're going to have a baby!
The doctor gave me a test today, but until we find out for sure, we can't tell anybody."
The next day, Mrs. Kapoor receives a telephone call from Reliance Energy because the electricity bill has not been paid.
" Am I speaking to Mrs. Kapoor? "
"Yes... speaking"
Reliance guy, "You're a month overdue, you know!"
"How do YOU know?" stammers the young woman.
"Well, ma'am, it's in our files!" says the Reliance guy.
"What are you saying? It's in your files... HOW ???"
" Yes ..... We have a system of finding out who's overdue "
" GOD !!!... This is too much..."
"Madam, I am sorry... I am just following orders... I have to inform that you are overdue.."
"I know that ... let me talk to my husband about this tonight. He will speak to your company tomorrow.. "
That night, she tells her husband about the incident, and he, mad as a bull,rushes to Reliance office the next day morning.
"What's going on? You have it on file that my wife is a month overdue? What business is that of yours?" the husband shouts..
"Just calm down," says the lady at the reception at Reliance, "it's nothing serious. All you have to do is pay us."
"PAY you? And if I refuse?"
"Well, in that case, sir, we'd have no option but to cut yours off.."
"And what would my wife do then?" the husband asks.
"Well... I don't know. I guess she'd have to use a candle.

Chaztin,How much bandwidth you consume monthly?
Hope they don't introduce FUP in couple months after gaining so many subscribers.
Must be around 700 gbs.
@Spin yes I have same plan. The speed is just mind blowing man. Downloaded and uploaded with 450+ today. OMGWOOT

O: wow , you are getting more upload(500kbps - 800kbps) speed than download speed ? or you meant 0.5 to 0.8mb/s?

Airtel could have been the best BB in India had it been keeping larger FUP cap.
Here is my Reliance BB result. I am on 2 mbps ultd line. People complain a lot about their service, but I am " VERY " happy with it. Even their Customer Care Support has been good, received the bill on time and there has been no downtime.**
UL speed is always on higher side, don't know why but ya when on torrents theres always a balance between both UL/DL speeds.
**Reliance really didn't pay me for saying this.
Even on 2 mbps line back in 2010 upload speeds were ridiculously high.

Why your upload speed is only 0.7mbps compared to Chaztin and The_Rock? You have the same plan as them right?
TBVH, the speed shown is vague. I am not really sure why is it showing that way. Actual upload speed is only of about .5 to .8 mbps.

they're not cheap at all. this 1099 4mbps plan is the first good one they've had in years. before this i used to pay 1500+tax per month for 1mbps day/2mbps night. and before that it was just 1mbps all day for the same price. this was when others were reducing the cost of 1mbps lines to 700-1k.

They have just come up with these plans and haven't always been cheap.

Just one query .. And only a person who is already using it can answer this ..
The 4Mbps plan they are offering, does it give CONSTANT download speeds or the d/l speeds keep varying ..
See airtel (the 2 Mbps plan that i'm currently using) , gives constant download speed of 280 KBps.
What about reliance ??
No, its not constant. It varies between 470-520 KBps for me.

They will provide you with a modem. It will only let you connect one device at a time, if you try to connect more, you will be logged out. Use a router to get around this (wifi router if you need wifi as well)
I have the electronic distribution panel and other stuff connected in the ground floor of my apartments. Most of the buildings in the close vicinity of my building get their connection from there. And atleast I do not have modem installed at my place I just have a cable coming into my room that I can use with computer/router/console. So no modem for me and I guess that is the case with other subscribers as well.

Yes, so far as the browser window is open after logging in you are good for 24 hours. I have my Laptop working pretty much 24x7 and once I login from it I don't have to login from either of the two systems.

I have heard that many modems and routers dont work with reliance connection , is it TRUE ??
I am not sure where are so many myths coming from for reliance connection. I have a Netgear 2200, Netgear 4500 and Asus RT-N16 and all three of them run flawlessly from day one.
It is likely that when people complain about their router not working with reliance, they just mean either they don't know how to copy mac address or they are using the wrong type of router or perhaps their router doesn't copy mac address.
