Tbh, it’s been a long time coming. Valverde had the team’s backing but Bartomeu wanted him gone so he got the boot. Then came Setien who was by his own admission rearing cattle in his farm after leaving Betis when he got the call up. Koeman pissed off the dressing room when he arrived. You could argue it was to break the so-called Messi-gang monopoly in the team but it backfired. Suarez was let go off unceremoniously and that bit Barca in the a*s. Him saying Barca has a future thanks to him didn’t help either. He also didn’t hesitate selling off academy players, which worsened a long-standing criticism for Barca that it’s becoming a club that buys talent instead of raising them. Man had an excuse for every loss too, none of which were his own fault as per him. They’re bringing in Xavi most likely and while I want him to succeed more than anyone else as coach, Barto has f**ked the club so badly that a new coach is just one of the problems that need fixing.
