  1. ^^ True.. Day 1 in an online game is an altogether another feeling.. even the player count will decrease after a while.

As for destiny, DLC is expensive af.. Main game is also not what i expected but oh well wrong thread to whine

Got PS4 copy. The first one sadly died fast on PC. So have to wait and see how things go on the PC side.

Is the multiplayer skill based or button smash? How many abilities do you have to manage?

Thanks. I won't be touching any exotic reward quests until much later.

This might end up being a long post but here goes...

    Content:

So I've been playing Warframe since 2013 and the game has come a very long way. Compared to Destiny the amount of content is through the roof with new stuff being added every couple of months. New quests, warframes, weapons and maps are added regularly with the most recent update adding an "open world zone" to Earth which isn't unlike a Destiny patrol zone. Their plan is to add more of these going forward. When it comes to content, Warframe is the clear winner. There's a lot to do - story quests, the galaxy map, collecting every frame and weapon, daily sorties that award high level stuff.

    Winner: Warframe

    Gameplay:

I'd say both games are equally fun to play with tons of mobility and very satisfying shooting / powers. I'd give Warframe the slight edge though because of the sheer variety in how each warframe plays. Every single one of the 30 or so frames feels unique and the weapons are far more creative than standard rifles, snipers and shotguns. In comparison, Destiny has far fewer classes and weapons.

    Winner: Warframe

    Accessibility:

This is where Destiny has a clear edge. Warframe gets more and more complicated as you play and certain mechanics aren't as fleshed out as others. Destiny is far more inviting to new players and overall a simple game that you can casually play, drop and pick up later without getting lost. Coming back to Warframe after a few months is crazy, you're bombarded with new stuff from every direction and it takes a while to make sense of anything. It's almost impossible to play Warframe without the wiki open in a browser tab. They've improved the new player stuff a lot but returning players still end up being lost.

    Winner: Destiny

    Rewards/Grind:

Both games are grindy af but I feel Warframe is slightly more just because of the overwhelming number of resources and items to keep track of as well as being a free to play game. That said, I don't feel like the game ever wastes your time because even while farming you're getting something (like XP, materials, chance at a specific reward) while Destiny is a bit hit or miss rewards. I'll say they're a tie on this front.

    Winner: Tie

    Story/Lore:

This one is a personal opinion but I find Warframe's lore and aesthetic more unique than Destiny's (which is simply a new take on the Halo formula). There are a few similarities between the two - like both are set in our solar system with different factions controlling planets and feature a sci-fi / fantasy theme. They both have surprisingly strong lore considering they're about doing repetitive missions for better loot. Both games have memorable characters with strong voice acting and dialog.

    Winner: Warframe

So yeah overall I prefer Warframe because the game has a lot more to offer and is consistently growing. The thing that holds it back somewhat is the player experience (you really need to fully commit to make the most of it) while Destiny is much more "pick up and play". The F2P aspect of Warframe is also quite fair and you get 75% off vouchers often as daily login rewards. Really the only thing you need platinum for is the inventory slots. It also has a thriving player economy where you can trade stuff for platinum. Whereas Destiny has microtransactions on top of the $60 pricetag which to me feels quite unfair.

Thanks but it deepens my dilemma of buying Destiny 2. I want to like warframe but somehow it puts me off and destiny is the new shiny thing..

We're playing Warframe almost every day. In fact he was "not sure" about coming back to Warframe either :P

How would you compare warframe to destiny? I tried warframe but sometimes it seems overwhelming with amount of stuff left to do, also combat missions feels repetitive

What do you think about the specs? worth it at this price?

I am bit scared as the laptop is going in and out of stock quite frequently which means probably people are cancelling it also they are not clear about the warranty. Its supposed to be International travellers warranty of one year but on acer page it shows warranty wont work in India

Are you absolutely sure about a gaming laptop.
Because, you can have a really good PC with that money. Whereas 1050 is only gonna get you a passable performance.

I don't mind getting a PC but the problem is of logistics and support. At present place i am located doesn't offer any good options for a gaming PC and going to Delhi or Kolkata and getting a PC is just not working out due to lack of time. Whereas I can buy a gaming laptop online easily

I would recommend a GTX1060 these days but your budget would need to be extended for that.

Looking at your location it would be better to stick with ASUS or DELL, in that case, MSi has a pickup and drop system for warranty claims but needs to be pushed to pick up your unit.

Thanks. Would it be worth it to go for Alienware in Dell by spending a little extra?

Too old the AMD offering, why are you only looking online, go to the market and pick up or buy from a dedicated PC hardware e-retailer. If you are interested in a quote for a GTX1060/GTX1070, I can offer you a couple models too.

Expected price should be ~21,000/- for the GTX1060 and about ~38,000/- for the GTX1070. Give or take ~10% depending on demand and availability.

RAM is expensive and DDR3 is old now, so I would not recommend buying any because it is a dead-end investment.

Hey if you don't mind me asking, are you professionally into computer hardware business? If so I was looking for a new pc/laptop which would provide a decent 30+fps gaming. TBH I haven't had a PC as of yet and have always relied on laptops for gaming but this upgrade cycle i am determined to go for a pc as laptops are a nightmare to maintain/upgrade every couple of years. Would you be willing to build one or direct me to someone who can? I would be visiting Delhi come August

The Secret World is re-releasing as Secret World Legends with a new combat system and focus on solo/small-group content rather than MMO-style content, and a free-to-play model. The Head Start is now available for people who beta-tested SWL and/or owners of The Secret World.

If you owned TSW, you can link your accounts by signing into the SWL website and linking them to the account page: https://secretworldlegends.com/news/legacy-transfers/

This allows you to almost all the cosmetics you owned in the original to SWL, along with permanently unlocking all 9 of the game's weapons, which normally would take a tonne of grinding.

Right now the game is only available to those with a TSW account and beta testers of SWL. The game comes out on June 26th for everyone else via the standalone client on the SWL website and will arrive on Steam on July 31st.

To download the game, click here:

Very good MMO! Now F2P. Interested users feel free to give it a try. It's worth your time.

I own it but haven't played it, had some installation issues. Lemme know if you are gonna play. I will download

  11. You will not like it. Can't wait for you to complain about graphics and dull and bland environments nd all.

I dont care much about graphics and stuff, gameplay has to be fun and story interesting, would i like it?
