  1. Release Date - TBA

Timing the release of this game is essential, with RDR2 slated to release in Fall 2017.

The legacy version had a continuity issue due to GTA5 releasing the same year, but the game was great enough to have an awesome shelf life and still has a good player base playing it, very unlike Uncharted 4.

Another indication of the expected release date is the release date of the legacy game. It was announced in December 2011 and released in June 2013, a good year and a half later. So my bet, is first half of 2018.

  2. If you always play a game just because it's recommended or got good reviews, then you are always bound to get disheartened.

Yup, especially if its not the kind of genre one prefers or one who doesn't like to explore other genres, they're definitely going to feel letdown by the game and then give opinions that doesn't exactly reflect the real situation.

He just started, I hope he comes around when he spends about 50-100 hours playing this game to really know why the gaming community has such high regards for this game.

  3. Started playing this game recently and have only done a few missions so far and its decent to good. Don't feel its as great as everyone says it is.

Play a game to experience it, feel what it is all about. Never commit to a game driven by the opinion of others, you'd end up disappointed, most of the time. Play what you generally like, not what the world wants you to play, that's what I can suggest.

  4. The anticipation of something coming around the corner coupled with the music, which i am sure would be a little spooky, scares me the most.

The horror element, which are far and few in between and no sudden-jump moments, gets completely overshadowed by the emotional aspect of the game, this game is more humane than lot of zombie kill fest that are otherwise available to play. This and Walking Dead Season 1 are right at the top, is what I feel

  5. Arey, its ok. We were discussing(not fighting over) ur complaints. You have that opening sequence with Joel and his daughter..then that city part, bill's town, jungles, snow, dam, underground tunnel sections...a section with sniper rifle, tank chase, "that" section with Ellie. Then characters like Billy, Sam, David...you meet during your journey...and bamn!! that ending...so sufficient variety was there IMO. May have missed more, as i had played it day 1 when it was released on PS3. But you dnt like it that much...u dnt like it that much.(at least u haven't played it 4 times to realise this :P).

You forgot that epic scene once they reach Salt Lake City where Joel and Ellie stand atop a terrace and watch the Giraffes wander and then see them disappear into the horizon, what a great mix of gameplay style, at one moment you are in middle of intense gunfighting or saving yourself from the hordes of clickers, runners, bloaters and then in another, you are just relaxing, soaking in the beautiful view.

And should I really talk about the number of playthroughs I did for this game?...lol...about 8 on PS3 version and 4 on the PS4 one, accounting for almost all difficulty levels.

  6. .. how much controversy polygon got for giving last of us a 7/10?

Polygon probably didn't get paid or if they got paid, wanted more--> rational theory

Jokes apart, take note of reviews on these sites but always believe what your fellow gamers say, especially your friends, about a particular game. Their's are going to be the most honest reviews.

  7. Infact, i think they have done a gr8 job in showing how humans could become monsters in such scenarios. That David character.....epic. But to each his own i guess. He has given Life of Strange a higher rating, so looks like he is more into those kind of games more(but why complain about TLOU gameplay then).

That whole Lakeside Resort chapter was one big pain, especially, in Grounded Mode. I have to agree, the human aspect of the game, that is, human enemies and the depiction of humanity, just added to the great gameplay of this game.

yeah, perhaps those point-and-click games are his preference.

Edit: And like i wrote in my initial comment, he has paid for it, he can have his opinion, mine was a counter because of the rating....lol

  8. Here's my main problem. It needed bit more gameplay variety.

    Some driving sections..

How many games in the this survival-horror genre, you have seen that has extensive driving sections? The game was set in a post-apocalyptic world, using a horse made more sense than driving a car

Would have preferred less human enemies for one.

I find this section of your comment funny, I mean, how realistic is it to believe that in a virus outbreak, no one survived other than the protagonists and you're only getting hammered by the zombies? THis is a survival-horror game, AI controlled-human enemies had to be in there to make sense of the gameplay and they were already very few that I came across.

Also i wish game had more cutscenes. Cutscenes quality and direction was amazing so i would have liked more of them. Long ones too just like MGS.

I am certain you haven't come across PC gaming enthusiast-fascist who call this game a great playable-movie and here you are, asking for more cutscenes. The whole thing was perfect, I believe

But hey, you paid for the game, you have all the rights to have your own opinion, that rating, though what brought me to write something about how you felt

  9. you have a lot to learn my friend.

PS : he was kidding :P

thanks for opening my eyes but yeah, I don't troll and often don't understand trolling. That, per me, is being disrespectful.

Just because one has internet, doesn't make them a superhero, isn't it?

Edit: So I see, it was actually a reply to you. Troll trolling a troll, huh?

  10. Ya toh mai ps4 version of last of us kharid leta hu, it will work in ps3 in high graphics mode right ?

No, man. PS3 is not future-proof and neither is PS4 backwards compatible. In other words, you cannot play PS4 disc in PS3 and vice versa.

You'll have to buy a PS4 to make it work.

PM for any questions, internet trolls will not let you live in peace, otherwise.

Edit: So someone just noted you were trolling, which could be a possibility and if that's the case, man, seriously mine was a bad attempt to help

Oh, so I see, that reply was actually a troll reply to another troll, so yeah, I can take heart in speaking the truth, Internet is big bad world  ....trolls everywhere. You did the right thing but I understood the wrong

  11. Also graphics seem a little blurry and not sharp, is it because my tv only supports upto 720p?

Quite possible that your TV is messing up even if it is connected using HDMI, however, this section is supposed to be dark and filled with spores, I am quite certain you'd be able to see clearly when you swim under the water through the derailed coaches and when you walk on the ledges and

find the dead body of another smuggler with a written note and swim again to find some parts and a firefly pendant to the left, in a room which is also a dead end

Edit: Added the spoiler tag :-)

    BTW,

you have reached almost the end of this chapter, you just have to boost Ellie up to the next platform by letting her climb the wooden plank you'll find floating nearby and she will find you a ladder, you aren't too far from Bill's Town, which is the next chapter with lot of bright daylight and some heavy fighting scenes

  12. Remastered version will release for both and it's different from BC version . Bc version is not a 1080p Remastered version. It's same 720p 360 version.

If they released a paid 60$ Remastered version then it will release for both. Why you want Remastered version exclusive to PS4?

    Tell me ThatPSFanboy :naughty:

Just got my XB1 from the recent Amazon sale so if I want I can get the best of both these worlds so writing my username in bold is of no use. Yes, I have started my console gaming on PS consoles, so naturally would be more inclined to use that.

While I would want it to be released on all platforms (like a true gamer in nature) so people who couldn't play it for any reason when it was released before can play this gem of a game now, but let me help the reality set in with the help of following points, hoping it puts an end to that discussion:

    1. The economic viability of porting a game for better frames rates or textures or graphical properties, that is already available on the same console/platform albeit a bit downgraded, is questionable. Do you guarantee sales of a remastered version at 2500 INR that would help Rockstar recover their cost making it? They'd rather put their efforts elsewhere.

and I hate to rub it into the full time XB/Live users, but hey:

    2. Until now, all remastered Rockstar Games have been from PS2 era and have only been released on PS4 (not a single one on XB1) and according to a recent survey, those games are doing great and Rockstar/2K is earning a lot of money from these, and

    3. Sony has exclusive rights to a lot of things from Rockstar, so much so, that RDR2 was scheduled to be announced in Sony's exclusive conference held in the first week of September but was called off due to the then recent shootings that happened in United States(not verified but confirmed from "other" sources), furthermore, we all know what PS owners are going to get when the game releases.

  13. Why it doesn't make any sense?

Going by their track record and the faith I have in them, Rockstar isn't a cheap developer/publisher who'd try to milk a game or a series and then be on the same pedestal as Ubisoft, Activision or EA. If they already have had released even through backward compatibility, I don't expect them to release it again as a remastered version for XB1

  14. ^Exclusively on PS4?

Doesn't makes sense releasing a remastered version for XB1 when it is already available on it through backward compatibility, Not too sure about PC port, although, again it is a rumour, you may be able to play it via PS Now. Don't yet quote me on any of this. All of these are rumours (but we know Rockstar love rumours :lol: )

Edit: Even RDR2 started as a rumour

  15. Saw the trailer, one of them, especially the guy standing in front of all those things burning, looked like Bill Williamson.

Edit: And yeah, it is not your typical wild west, more of the mountains in US than, let's say Texas or New Mexico which were originally termed as Wild West

  16.

    Nope, not confirmed.

First guy from left looks like John Marston and the fifth guy looks like Bill Williamson. So....

Exactly what I said, that's how I am feeling about this one

The RDR story itself was set at a time when the Wild Wild West was an era that was ending and times were changing. A sequel would be odd considering that premise. I expect it would be a prequel but hope its a different set of characters.

Yup, that's the whole point, right? The story played out in a way, it implied the Wild West was changing and it wasn't meant to be that wild anymore. Yes, it is a sequel, like being sequentially numbered, not necessarily a sequel to the story.

  17. I just don't want to play as John Martson again. New Protagonist please.

    It can be

    Jack

    because

John was killed in the end

However, I do have a feeling this could probably be a prequel to the original RDR showing the story

when John was with Dutch's gang
