    help to kar de fir ban kar diyo

    Airtel's FUPPing has been pretty hit or miss. Not everyone is being fupped. Mostly only heavy users. I rarely use a lot, few months go above 30gb, so they dont bother.

    I would glad take your place Gaurav. For me, I'd rather be fupped at 25-30GB and get full speeds 24/7 instead of this.

  2. ^^ "Why do we hate India so much. Our customs are so similar to india's customs, we all watch indian movies etc etc, then why do we simply hate them. At the end of the day, cricket is a sport and let it be a sport"

    Really nice of Afridi to say that. I guess he's mellowed down now. I remember his exchange with Gambhir some 2 years back. Full maa behan :D

  3. ^ 1399 impatience plan. I'm okay with the FUP though, I just download few TV shows and movies in a month so I'm fine with the FUP. Besides, I have stretched to 30-35GB once without a speed drop.

    But these idiots throttle the torrent speeds during the day. I get only 70-80 kbps during the day. At night, I get the proper 450-480 kbps.

  4. Gud one!

    Btw, installed Gingerbread v2.3.3 on my galaxy S. Not much difference. Few subtle changes here n there. Still RFS :wallbash: So u need to convert to ext.

    I installed Juwe's custom rom which includes supercurio's modified kernel and the CRT animation which looks quite cool. Try it out folks

    iPhone sure isn't l33t :) it has its own faults. But I jus commenting on the so called improved multitasking on android. For me, other than the background syncing of twitter/fb, everything else seems the same. Even IM on iOS is jus as good, even if it isn't running in the background.

    @Alekh

    Ya, i know i read that webOS has true multitasking. Even BB's upcoming QNX touts it. But we'll see how that turns out once its out

  6. Must be a samsung android device! :D A stock Galaxy S runs like a fricking 128 mhz phone. Geeez!

    You know, i dont understand the multitasking in android sometimes, I open a link in the browser, and then switch to FB for example, where I see an interesting notification and open it waiting for it to load. In the meantime, I go back to my browser and see that the link i selected not loaded at all :S Only after I switched back to it, it started loading. And when I went back to facebook, it didnt even open in the notifications page and rather took me to the home screen of the FB app. I have faced this with many apps which only actually run when the app is in the front. If i switch back to the app, it goes to the original state and does not complete the action which I selected before I switched out of it.

    The only thing that works background is syncing/updating of the twitter/email apps for example. If this is the case, then so much for the much touted multitasking features. Is there any mobile OS (webos perhaps?) that does true multitasking in the background?

    I got lowepro slingshot. Excellent bag

    Btw, i think I just got my 2 flecks of dust. Noticed when I randomly fully zoomed in on a white while with aperture fully narrowed out. Canon India does offer free sensor cleaning throughout the warranty period, but I dont think i'll bother just yet. Its not noticeable otherwise and even then it can be corrected in any photo editor.

    @Anshul, since u carry many lenses, dyou ever face effects of dust in your photos? How to keep it to a min, other than the usual changing in clean environments and changing it fast etc.

    btw, i'm thnking of getting a slik 740 tripod. Cheap price at 2500. Should work for now.

  8. Well google is finally keeping some control on Honeycomb. I'm sure you have all read the brouhaha on the internet with regard to withholding HC source code from everyone but Moto. IMO, I'm all for it, google should really think about maintaining certain quality standards now that Android is well known n popular. Open source is fine n all but not necessarily the best. Closed source is an equally good if not better proposition.

  9. nothing our southern brethern have not seen before.

    agreed. Dunno why people take it as a crime if someone from Bwood tries to make a sci fi. Sure 90% chance is wont match the mega studio products and avatar etc but a start has to be made somewhere. Krissh was the first, Ra.One should take it at a higher level, you have to realize that there is a general skepticism in our movie makers regarding these kinds of films so not many go for it even though the have the money for it, I am not a big fan of srk, really dont like his monotonous roles in yash raj-Kjo movies but i like his personality and ideas. He follows the international movie making scene, his Don was pretty good.. the climax was superb (coming from a big old Don fan), not many people in india have the balls to go where he went with it.

    He has a good humor style, as you can see by his twitter posts and the self satire he did in OSO, so rest assured Ra.One wont be a cheesy half assed take on sci fi. Granted it wont be no tron in dazzle but it should be worth a watch.

    +1. SRK may be a pathetic actor (except in a few movies like Swades, Chak de), but overall, he's got a decent personality and has a fair amount of wit.

  10. I agree with Anshul about keeping it horizontal for a nice landscape shot. Sherry, I think you should use a tripod or increase ISO. It will add noise but that can be corrected.

    In the 2nd snap, since u used a 1 second exposure, a tripod is a must I believe. You would've got the flowing water effect very nicely in that case with sharp focus on the rocks.

  11. It could get a price drop, if a new bold is launched but I dont see it happening now. Regarding the QNX devices, the first QNX device was supposed to be the tablet from BB. That itself is not released yet and no confirmed dates so far. So dont bother waiting for the round of QNX phones. It'll take months to get a smartphone one I'm sure.

    With or without warranty well, thing is, the phone is quite solid, but if any issue crops up with keypad etc. Most cases u wouldn't need, but u never know. This is the case with any gadget.

    BB messenger + email charges are 299. Along with browsing its 399-499 or something depending on your operator. U will need to a BB plan to use emails and bbm. Dont activate any normal gprs plan for other phones. I'm sure u know this, but many just activate the basic gprs plan applicable for other phones thinking it will work but it doesnt.

    And ya u can send pictures, video, voice anything. Group chatting is there. BBM is amazing and great way to be in touch 24/7. U are , in effect, always available and can be contacted thru BBM. No sign in sign out thing like gtalk.

  12. I think this is probably the best time to get a BB coz BB is, under pressure, moving to touchscreen based models with touchscreen UI and sidelining keypad phones (if rumors are to be believed). So if u want the best qwerty keypad in the business today, get a Bold 3. It should suffice basic browsing needs to as it has a better browser. Color toh some people r liking white BB's now as it looks different yet maintaining a business look.

    Avoid the current BB touch screen phones coz they al suck. BB Bold3 or 9780 is the one to get if it fits ur budget.

    @GEEKGAMER

    bro, with the 60D, u need better glass ;) I'm already feeling hampered with the kit lens. Might atleast spring for a 55-250mm, or if I can afford, a 70-300mm. The F2.8 lens would be heavenly, but damn stuff cost more than the cam. Will save for a nice 85mm lens for 2012.

    @harish

    Pretty long exposures there. Tripod? Dont tell me u got a 5 second exposure handheld :O
