  1. ^Yeah, frankly the movie hardly had any scares. I mean, its fine they want to exploit sounds and eeriness but seriously nothing.

I haven't seen a more scarier since Insidious which came out last year. That movie really plays tricks on your senses and the sound, music everything jsut heightens the scare factor. Watch it if anyone hasn't already. Great star cast too.

Saw Battleship right now. meh..worth a 1 time watch..i suppose...1 sequence in the movie is proper homage to the game though

  2. I'm not sure we will see Exynos in any phones this year. Maybe in the Galaxy tab sporting 2560x resolution. I beleive the next nexus will sport specs matching the SGS3, One X etc. Nexii never had next gen chips, always used the current gen chips at the end of their "flagship" status.

No idea, did u check quikr/olx? U can get fast sales at Quikr

  3. ...which is great for a Nexus! : thumbsup:

Yeah, fairly decent and this is with me fiddling a lot, trying apps etc.

edit: 3 hours 45 mins is great. I reckon anything about 3-3.5 hours is good for medium daily use.

Planning to sell your Note and get a Note 2? I'd say do it now before the phone is unveiled.

how do you test this? keep screen timeout to never?

No..just normal usage..twitter/flipboard/rss/whatsapp/instagram and 1 foursquare checkin. Normal stuff I do

  4. 6 hours screen on time on SGS2. HOLY sh*t DAFAQ??...

@iHB yeah The note has fantastic battery life no doubt. On my GNex, I am at 52% battery life with 1 hr 50 mins of screen on time with everything on, apps syncing and no battery saving settings used except 30-40% brightness

Not sure whether that figure is good or bad.

  5. Yeah thats the thing. Some random developer releases a flashy beta but then they abandon it or either the cost and time to support it becomes too much. The store is strewn with so many such apps that show a lot of promise but fail to execute. Fact is, any twitter app today should do push and streaming on wifi by default. No push is meaningless, how will u get notified?

Tweet lanes is one app I am hoping develops further. The dev said push notifications are next in the pipeline so lets see. Thing is push servers cost money but i dont mind paying. hell why do people release free substandard apps? I'd rather pay a few bucks for a good fully featured well supported app

  6. Seriously, how hard is it to build a nice twitter app. All apps are crap with some bordering on acceptable with u talk about what a twitter app should offer in 2012.

U gotta wonder how brilliant and talented the devs at Tweetbot are, for making the most perfect twitter app on any platform, mobile or desktop

  7. Hahahah oh i missed it..Thanks :D...I'm liking it. Stark contrast with my experience on the SGS

How are reminders synced again?..Oh u r on Lion right?...On Mountain Lion reminders is a seperate app with more importance given to the icloud sync between iOS <->OS X.

Where are google reminders?...Google shoulld really do a seperate reminders app. Also geofenced. They have strong mapping and cloud capabilities, surprised they havent yet..

Also battery percentage on top menu bar how?

  8. I'm on OS X, i already sync my google calendars across my laptops and now phone. But calendar alerts and reminders are quite different IMO.

Short and trivial reminders..where my lookout is not more than 1-2 days ahead u know, mostly the same day, or the next day. So i can put in a reminder to remind me in 5 hours to do this etc. Also, i dont want to put small trivial things like pick up milk..or "100m olympic finals" etc on my calendar..

Calendar entries are somewhat different from reminders. Although yeah they can overlap and many use the calendar as their reminder too.

@MT Yeah the USB sync doesnt work with Gnex because Gnex doesn't have USB mass storage. Google has made an android file transfer app for OS X though thankfully.

And yea, Samsung ruined android with Touchwiz with a sole aim of ripping iOS off. Stock android does not look anyting close to what iOS is..pffft..saaala janam se besharam hain

  9. Okay, Really liking JB so far. Nothing like gingerbread laggy BS.

Set up dropbox to sync my photos to my PC, I'm already using google for contacts and calendar and chrome obviously syncs everything everywhere which is awesome (altho i felt stock browser to be better)

    Things I need now

    1. Doubletwist to update itself so that I can sync my iTunes playlists to my Gnex easily since I maintain everything in iTunes and have an iPod too. so easy to organize in 1 place.

    2. A cross platform reminders app which syncs across desktop OSes and mobile. Wouldn't mind paying for it too. Sadly none exist i guess. in iOS i like that reminders are synced across my laptop and phone so its easy to keep track everywhere.

More importantly i need an easy way to sync music. Manual transfer is tedious and just too 1999

  10. Rocking some Jellybean build no JRO03C...it was far simpler on OS X than it is on windows. took me 5 minutes.. I was under the impression there were no OS X tools. but cool.

And by god there is ahuge difference in performance between JB and ICS.

ICS for me, was not as smooth as everyone touted. Still stuttered and was not as good (albeit better than GB). JB on the other hand finally has some semblance with how the touch is on iOS. Anyway, just installed, we shall see how it is for a day
