    Lightroom 3 is pretty awesome and unless photography is your bread and butter, it is more than enough. Decent learning curve and great library management too. Plus great variety of lens correction and other filters available online too. I prefer Aperture since I am used to it, but LR3 is quite good too.

     

    @Bul D3100 is quite good. A great first DSLR. Dont think much. It would be a great 720p video shooter too. But dont expect the continuous focus to be good in the D3100 due to the noise it generates. Otherwise, I would suggest you fork up for a few more grands and get the T1i or D5000. Much better investment.

    Hmm, you could try the Westin, Mina Seyahi Dubai. My relatives stayed there during a visit and they loved it. Plus got it at a decent price too I believe around 800-900 AED. Actually you're right, hotel rates in dubai have fallen down fo 3-4 star hotels. So you might as well stay in a hotel and enjoy the sumptuous breakfast buffets. Even Le Meriden is good and at a similar price.

    ^If you are on a budget, Golden Sands Hotel Aptmts in Bur Dubai are perfect. Excellent rooms and very good prices. This is assuming you want to save on your hotel expenses. I've stayed in Golden Sands many times on extended trips and frankly it was fantastic. 2 bedrooms a kitchen and a Living room too. Only thing is they are serviced apartments

     

    edit: Rates may vary, but you can get it at 400-500 AED per day.

    T1i is above the T3 and below the T2i and T3i. It really wouldn't make much difference to your photos. If the price difference isn't huge, you could cancel and get the T2i for the full HD video if video is important.

     

    T3i is hardly a worthy upgrade over teh T2i. T2i price will fall and that would be the entry level canon rebel SLR to get once T3i launches

    Hahahha. Exactly. See this is why the Moto ad fails. The average non geek will never understand the signifance of the "1984" theme of the ad.

     

    @Abdul dude google apple 1984 advertisement. Motorola has made fun of that in this. Basically the whole world is using 1 kind of tablet in just 1 way. And the sweater vest guy is someone different from the crowd. The earphones are used to indirectly hint at apple

    ^Hahaha. I was just about to post that you should've waited :D What happened? Anything wrong or u wanted to return it because of 1100D?

     

    Waise 1100D wont be releasing till April in US. So expect it to hit India in mid May or end May only. 600D might hit India in April.

     

    @Anshul Totally. D90 or even D5000.

     

    For me, the 550D is perfect. Waiting for a price drop which is imminent now that 600D is here.

    I am liking Dolpin mini browser. With 3G, i'm using the mobile browser a lot more. Dolphin mini uses much less ram than the official one and is less prone to crashes after extensive usage. But there is 1 small niggle I face and I have no idea why. It keeps shoving the setup wizard on my face everytime i start the app :wallbash: No idea why that happens. And it happens to some percentage of users. Hope they release a fix asap.

    Bro, congratz on your buy. First of all, its a great phone. But it is not known for its battery. The battery has been an issue in this phone everywhere i read about it

     

    And secondly, dont follow all those gimmicks. Really add no value to your phone. Your battery is new, give it a week or two to condition and settle down. And use it normally. Dont let it die down. Charge when it hits 20-30% if you can. Seriously the internet is full of idiiots who propose such weiird methods. Although, you may try charging with your phone switched off.

     

    edit: Yea gaurav, its caleld bump charging. Honestly i find no difference. Maybe i get 20 mins more battery life :P Or maybe not. Just need to use batteries normally. And give it atleast 5-10 recharge cycles to condition itself.
