Checked them out. Yeah really good offers, especially the unused one at 130k with 3 years warranty. In light of terrible 5000 series, thats a steal. Unfortunately all are sold for now.

TE?

No you are good, depending on other components. This PSU is Tier A in the cultists tier list.
-
1000w is mentioned as required by Nvidia, but a really good power supply will be needed. By all accounts this card is definitely hitting its 575W TDP. Add other system components and the total power consumption is easily bordering on 900-1000w. So a really good power supply (ideally an A tier one in cultist list) is recommended.

Have RPtech opened registrations yet? Either ways in case of 3080 they contacted me after 10 months of registering, and I had bought an AIB card in the first month at close to MSRP price anyway. So my plan remains the same- wait till about 10th Feb and see how prices are trending. If any, preferably white, card is at a reasonable price then get it. Otherwise wait. Feb and March are going to extremely hectic for me work wise so its not like I will get much time to play. Also have PS5 pro meanwhile to pass some time. Not in a hurry. I am also wavering on my purchase of a 5090. Its not about money so much, but rather the sheer heat and power consumption. In summers I will have to blast AC at it to keep room temp bearable. Couple with the power consumption the electricity bill will go through the roof, and my wife pays the electricity bill. Might kill me. Not to mention to keep PC cool I will need to increase the fan speeds, which is extra noise and I really like how silent my PC runs right now. So I might get a 5080 instead if its decent. I am finding it harder and harder to justify the heat and power consumption.

As of now 5090 listings are not showing up on pcpricetracker. They will soon. They get updated daily and you can sort by price so thats good. I saw listing on vedant when I searched google. RPtech is random. You just gotta go to their troglodytic website and search for rtx cards. I am sure someone on r/Indiangaming will make a post there once rptech opens registration. First time building a PC is a lot of fun. Enjoy!

Thanks! I plan to try all venues, but given that I will try to get a white graphics card, I may have to get non-founders edition only. But will still try to get in queue as and when RPtech opens it. Listings for 5000 series cards are already popping up on other stores such as vedant computers, sans price. The price should also get updated soon. I plan to keep tracking those and buy one around 10th Feb, once enough listings have come and price has settled a bit.

yeah got mine on 21st Dec I believe. 3-4 weeks later than promised, but at a great price of ~65K so I guess it turned out a good deal at the end. BTW, he also has 5000 series graphics cards (including 5090) on pre-order. The price is again very 'reasonable'. 195000 for 5090 (which is lower than official Nvidia Indian price of 214000). No warranty though. If anyone wants to pre-order :p

I built a new 9800x3d rig just this week, so I guess I can chime in. Will post rig details (and pics :p) at the end of post but first my 2 cents on your questions. I am also waiting to secure a 5090 GPU, and my first stop generally is pcpricetracker.in. Then r/Indiangaming and Google in general. As a general advice, if you can get a SBI cashback card, do get it. it will provide effective 5% off any online purchase, which would really add up. I would 'highly' recommend a X3D CPU, as at 1440p effective resolution paired with a powerful graphics card, it would matter. As for price, I found this at 40k. Mind you this is OEM version with no cooler, so thats extra cost. You can also install keepa on Amazon and set alerts when the price drops below 40k. It's deals season so its highly likely it may drop. Also keep tracking pcpricetracker. If you are set on other processors, 9900x can be bought for about ~37k on Amazon w/ SBI card right now. Can also get for ~39k at other places. Otherwise the higher the number the better, so go with 9700x. I am not sure about intel processors as they werent even in my consideration set. For 9000 series CPUs, 6000MHz CL30 RAM is recommended. 32GB should be enough. Get 2 sticks only. Any 600 series onwards mobo will be fine (will need bios updates, except 850/870 mobos). Do not get Anything else other than 650/670/850/870 as those lower number mobos cant overclock and suck. Fo PSU, use this list. Get a good quality cabinet of reputed company (Lian Li, NZXT etc.) with good airflow. AIO is optional but good air cooler at least is recommended. Here is my rig (going for all white)- AMD 9800X3D Kingston Fury Beast RGB EXPO 64GB (32GBx2) DDR5 6000MHz White Asrock X870 Pro RS WiFi Mobo Gigabyte Aorus Waterforce II 360 ICE ARGB 360mm CPU Liquid Cooler 5TB 7200MB/S NVME SSDs (Orico O-700) NZXT H6 Flow Cabinet NZXT C1000 1000W 80+ Gold Fully Modular ATX 3.1 Power Supply (White) 2xNZXT 140Q, 1x NZXT 120P (Fans)

What do you guys think is a fair price for the below PC? I am planning to sell my gaming PC. 3080 10GB graphics card (Colorful iGame GeForce RTX 3080 Ultra OC) AMD 5600x processor 32GB DDR4 3200 RAM (Ballistix Sport LT) GIGABYTE B550 AORUS PRO AC Wi-Fi Motherboard 1TB crucial P1 Nvme 4TB Toshiba HDD Deepcool gammax400 V2 cooler for CPU Ant Esports ICE-300TG Gaming Cabinet w/ 6 fans & RGB Cooler Master MWE 750W 80 Plus Bronze Certified PSU Edit- bought in November 2020.

Yeah I sold it back in May this year. I sold it for 38k on OLX along with 4 games (Ghost of Tsushima, GoW Ragnraok, Spiderman 2 and HFW). Not the greatest of deals but was a bit better than CeX so its alright.

Looks like we are back! I also got my PS5 pro on Monday. All earlier issues aside, the packaging was very good. The main PS5 pro box was in another standard cardboard box and had thermocol all around. Then it was wrapped with another layer of sheet (?). The main PS5 pro box came out absolutely shining and new with nary a dent or scratch, so that's good. Filmed video of unboxing and installing. Working fine for now. Also installed the disc drive, which is also working with no issues for now. Some observations- Both the main unit and controller are surprising lite. In fact the main unit is even smaller than the original PS5. Good. Comes with horizontal support thingies, and that's how I planned to keep it. So no need for additional stand. Good. FF7 rebirth is what I am playing right now- 60FPS mode. Finally I can play in 60FPS while also not having to deal with super blurry image. The game is great and clearly some love went into it, but overall the graphics are average. Some areas look really good, but some are very flat. They are very sharp and 4K, but I don't think they will wow anyone like HFW etc. There is also some pop-in in open areas. Rise of the ronin didn't look as bad as I had read online (ray-tracing mode). Haven't played a lot to have more opinions. Stellar blade is the third game I plan to play, unless it comes to PC by the time I get around to it. Good for now. Hopefully GTA6, Ghost of Yotei, Death Stranding 2 and some other good PS5 exclusives/first party games come in 2025 and truly justify its purchase. Edit- This was also my 500th post. How about that!

No better deal as such. Just the SBI cashback card with 5% cashback, so net price 68999*.95=65500.

Yeah DTDC tracking is pretty sh*t. It mostly just shows 'in transit' with scant few details and no expected date or anything. Oh well. It will arrive when it arrives. This has been some experience. Edit- Also, for some reason the parcel is coming from Delhi, rather than Nagpur- where his shop is. The earlier bluedart parcel was booked from Nagpur only. Very weird.
-
Bluedart or DTDC? Mine is now showing up in tracking on DTDC. Doesnt say any date of delivery though. I've heard DTDC is slower than Blueadart though.
-
Another twist in my mx2games ps5 pro story. Now he has given me a new DTDC tracking number (earlier was bluedart) saying there was some issue with bluedart so has now shipped with DTDC. To me it seems like he never really shipped/wanted to ship anything 2 days back. Just gave me a pre-booked tracking number to delay further. And even the DTDC tracking number is coming, you guessed it, untrackable for now. What a paragon of professionalism.
-
The plot thickens. So at the end it seems it depends on the seller only and they can delay the shipments and ask bluedart to pick later. So mx2 is indeed playing some games here. Lets see. Wait karne ke alawa koi aur vikalp nahi hai abhi toh.
-
I very much doubt the weekend part now lol. I contacted bluedart also and they said it depends on the seller when they hand-over the courier and sometimes sellers wait for multiple days to give bulk hand-over. I also messaged mx2 but no reply. We can only wait I suppose.
-
Big brain dick move lol. I've dropped him a msg asking why it hasn't been handed over to courier yet. Lets see. A frustrating experience and future deterrent for sure.
-
So one can book an online shipment from bluedart, get a tracking number and can then wait for a few days? Interesting and scummy. I thought bluedart would pick-up in a day max once you book online shipment with them.
-
To be honest my tracking is also stuck at "Online Shipment Booked" since yesterday. So seems even mine has not been handed over to bluedart yet.
-
Finally mx2games has shipped my PS5 Pro. Its later than expected, but at least right in time for year-end free time and lull in work. And given that it cost me ~65k, cant really complain much. Excited!
-
So mx2 delivered suddenly? Nice! I guess I have to pester him more then :p Enjoy!

Truth is our hardcore gaming market is too small. Always has been and with most of youth now into mobile gaming, always will. Even supposedly hardcore gamers mostly play FIFA on their consoles. Like I've met a few people every now and then (maybe 20-30 over the years) who own consoles and whenever I ask which game they play on it, the answer is always FIFA and thats about it. I know only one hardcore single player gamer whom I met in my college. Thats it! So even if some consoles get sold, the game sales arent there as everyone is playing f'in FIFA. Millions of people are willing to spend lac and above on iPhones in India, but that will never be the case with console/PC gaming. People will buy phones and play valorant or fortnite or PUBG or some sh*t and thats gaming for them. In India its as much a cultural thing now as a money thing.
