after 10% discount at launch from local sellers.
Yeah that's what I figured. And usually prices drop at least 10-20% pretty quickly.
Also, if Rishi truly meant the black market price reveal, man what a damp squib.

Get in touch with nVidia rep and they will put you on waiting list.
Other way is probably by having your own store or strong connections with distributor who is also willing to sell at that price.
Thanks. Is there any such thing for AMD graphics card also? I am now more interested in AMD 6800XT :p

Indian pricing for 3070 FE
Card price - 37700
Card price with GST via distributor / direct rep - 44500
Retail price - 51000
What is this thing via distributor? Can we, as end-customers, buy at those prices from somewhere?

Sony India ki incompetence ki hadd nahi hai. Ek baar ho gaya website ka ghapla. Baar baar kaun karta hai?

A little OT, but can anyone point me to the thread/part of forum where we could post what we wanted to sell and ask others what a reasonable asking price for that would be? Cant seem to find it.

Buy 2 and sell one to me.
nVidia always. ?
Done deal, if you really want one :p
It true Nvidia has many features that AMD done (DLSS, separate ray tracing cores etc) and their drivers are far better usually. AMD will have to perform very strongly for me to change teams.

Asus is the best for 3080 this time it seems, even beating out EVGA, which generally makes the best custom cards. If possible wait and get Asus Tuf (or even better Asus Strix) 3080. If you're spending - might as well get a good one, and not something random.
Best thing - getting from known manufacturers, you can be sure of warranty and quality.
What's your opinion @Joe Cool?
I too thought it sounded weird. Internet tells me they are indeed a genuine company (biggest in China apparently).
Definitely wouldve been better if it was Asus/MSI/Gaigabyte etc.

Personally I would buy even though my other parts are not ready yet.
You can wait if you want all parts together. GPU price will drop down once more stock arrives.
Surely 3-7 days? Unless you know some distributor/retailer, unlikely you will find it day 1.
Oh 3-7 days is perfectly fine. Cyberpunk doesnt drop till 19th and the new processors are releasing on 5th. Enough time in between.
I guess I will call the guy tomorrow, confirm once again, and pull the trigger :p
And then maybe regret it on 28th Oct if AMD announces much better GPUs at better prices lol

OC Custom AIB - may I know which one?
AMD CPU will launch on November 5th. I doubt India will get day 1 stock and with all AMD hype it will be sold out for sure or extra premium price.
GPU will get more stock for sure in coming month(s).
This one- https://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/colorful_geforce_rtx_3080_igame_vulcan,1.html
Usually how long does India take to get stock after international launch (for processors that is)? I am for sure not going to build PC without those processors so that is my bottleneck anyway in terms of how early I can build the PC.
If GPUs take one more month for more stock, thats fine. But if its months more, and that too not very close to MSRP, then I'd rather get this card right now and be done with it.
-
@Heaven Angel@KrIzAliD@Joe Cool A little help. An offline retailer is able to get me a 3080 card (OC Custom AIB) for 79000. Ideally MSRP is supposed to be 70000. Is that a good price? I can wait for about a month as I am building my new PC for Cyberpunk and will wait for Ryzen 5000 processors anyway, but I do want my PC to be done before Cyberpunk.
Will there be more stock at better prices within one month or is this the best I am going to wait and should go for it?

3080 for 97000!-

Thats an exorbitant price for my tastes. Almost 50% above MSRP.

3090 is easily available in India. There are a few 3080s too, but a much higher price (~90000). I can share links if you want.

WHAT ?
Sony still can turnaround a lot of this if they stop being cockcy like nokia and adapt to new mobile trend
Yeah, in Japan. They have a Sony Bank too. Very profitable business for them. They are one of the biggest there in Japan in these fields.

They just had their best year and quarter ever.
It indeed was a sinking ship. Then Kaz came and turned it the f*ck around.
Yeah their consumer electronics business is not doing that well (apart from Playstation, which prints money) and so we get this image. But Sony is a behemoth. Its financial services (yeah they sell insurance too :p), imaging devices (they have something like 42% market share in camera lenses), medical devices (MRIs etc), semiconductor business, movies (Columbia, MGM), Sony music (biggest music publisher in the world), online entertainment (the Vevo thing you see, or used to see until recently I think, on YouTube in front of every artist? That's Sony) music etc are very profitable.

With PS5 prices announced and knowing I will buy it for sure, I am so confused if I should buy XSS just for the two years of GamePass I got. I am currently using it on my Xbox One fat and hate the load times. Have the PS4 that I play more than XBone but less than my Ryzen3600-RTX2070Super PC. Suggestion guys?
Wouldn't the gamepass be just fine for yournpc also? To me ps5+pc seems the best gaming combo going forward as all MS games will come day and date on PC gamepass too.

3d Pulse headset for less than 9,999 is
Now the only worry part is the ssd size which comes with it

hope they release a new ps5 with 1-2tb ssd soon.
Sony has said that any earphone would work and give you proper 3D audio as intended as long as its plugged in through the controller. Is there any reason why one should get the pulse headsets when I can use a good ~1000 INR senheisser earphones?

I guess Sony would be like "yeah! its 2 seconds...so?"
As oppose to jaw-dropping happening over loading of BC games on X...
Btw Japanese men, when they speak they make it sound like its something big wow moment or a reveal.
Women or other hand sound defeatist like someone is trying to say sorry...
Is Japanese a gender-dependent language?
Interesting question. The males sound like going 'hai hai hai' every now and then, which does make it seem that they are excited. The women do sound pretty calm in comparison in video game videos but, I dont think that's the case in anime, is it? Although even there I do think the guys do go absolute batshit shouty every now and then. That's one reason why I never got into anime. All emotions seem so absolutely over the top. That even filters in Japanese made games sometimes, like below
With liiiiiiiggghhht!!!!!!!!
Its hilarious. Interesting topic though, how cultures can be so wildly different.
Edit- The comments on that video are hilarious. I am howling.

I see you are not a pet person?.
Quite the opposite actually, I have had a couple of dogs and loved them to pieces.
Though i was not trying to get them to solve puzzles or ring bells or something, but even then it would've been a less frustrating experience than Last guardian I am sure.
It seemed like a good vanity project but very bad game to me personally.

No issues for me on base ps4. Trico aint a machine remember. You are not driving a car here.
That maybe so, but by God did that make the game a super frustrating experience. I have never yelled at any game even 10% of that. That piece of sh*t should take so many tries to get it to do what I wanted.
It may have had its reasons, but purely from a game design it was an absolute clusterf**k and mess.

so all the ps4's are like that? f**k
I dont remember my base PS4 (bought in 2015) ever going that loud. Dont remember a single incident where I actively heard or worried about the fan noise. Of course I could listen to it if I focused on it, but nothing other than that.
And I played so many games on it. UC4, TLOU remastered, RDR2, Horizon, Days gone, God of war and more. I did clean it regularly though by opening the backplates and all.

There are rumors that Nvidia has almost completely stopped the production of 3080 to reassess and focus the upcoming revisions of 3080. So while this price drop is nice, it seems only an empty gesture.
Of course, if 3080 was indeed available at that price, then that would make it a great alternative for 6800xt, which should be around 65k INR.
