If nothing else, we here in India will at least get videos of people unboxing the PS5, walkthroughs of UI, playthroughs of the games, technical analysis of each and every game etc. Usi se dil behla lenge January tak (if it comes in january at all). :p

Not in a million years would I pay 100k for it. If thats the case, will wait till its officially available.

A hypothetical question- assuming the PS5 will launch in India only in January (a 2 months delay, give or take), how much over the most probable MRP of 50k would you be willing to pay to get it Day 1 or so (from grey market, import etc)? Personally, maybe I could go up to 60k for getting it 2 months early.

Because its not a drive. The solution was a custom design to increase bandwidth. These are 12 64GB modules arrayed around the CPU I believe. Its not a single SSD. Hence the results. Not that I like it, but it is what they compromised on to get a super high speed.

Pretty good marketing for XSX. The only thing missing is them showing Next gen games running on it. Rest everything has been in point. These previews have people excited.

I see a lot of discussion and confusion on HDR etc here. Posting a post I made on Neogaf. Its like an introduction/primer on HDR in layman terms. Hopefully it will help a few people.

Yes it has 4 HDMI 2.1 ports. Search for and see if you can find a C9 somewhere. Will probably be much cheaper than CX. Ask in local LG stores. They might still have some units and will get good deals. The C9 actually has slightly higher brightness than CX and also has full bandwidth HDMI 2.1 ports (48gbps vs 40gbps) although the port bandwidth may not matter much. I will be apprehensive about the B9 or BX because brightness, along with contrast, is a very important factor in HDR. So lower brightness on the B series is a deal breaker for me. From my experience, OLEDs start seeming brighter, mainly in night scenes, than very bright Samsung QLEDs at around 700-800 nits (QLEDs have around 1400 nits brightness) due to their infinite contrast. The C series have around 800 nits peak brightness. The B series has around 500-550 nits, which may be a little on the lower side. Just my opinion though. I would rather get the C series and be properly blown away :p

In my personal opinion, people should get the LG C9 (or CX. Both have very little changes and pros and cons over each other). I have a C9 and hands down one of the best electronics purchases I've ever done. The deep blacks and infinite contrast make pictures amazing. And HDR needs to be seen to believe. It makes even OK looking games, such as Sekiro, look amazing. The TV also has 4 HDMI 2.1 ports, 120Hz at 4k, VRR, gsync and freesync. Tough to get better than that. It's completely future proof. This guy gets it. The C9 is king for a reason.

I personally am so eager because I sold my PS4 quite some time back, imagining that I will be playing some of my most anticipated games on PS5 via backwards compatibility. I only had a base PS4 and wanted to experience those games in the best way possible. So even if PS5 only supports PS4 pro mode, and not specific enhancements for PS5 over that, it will still be good enough for me. So I have Last of Us 2, Ghost of Tsushima, Spiderman (and miles morales), Nioh 2, FF VII remake just from PS4 era. Then I am crazy excited about Demons Souls remake. So I have had a long wait and Sony India now dithering at the last moment is really getting on my nerves. Not sure about others, but this is my case and why I am so impatient.

Truth be told, with Nvidia GPUs being super expensive and disappointing (10GB 3080 will not last whole gen if one plays at 4k, which I do) and with gamepass being this amazing value (and now with Bethesda games), I almost pulled the trigger on Xbox series X. Cant believe it. I was so hyped for PS5 but then almost pre-ordered the XSX. Its a good thing that it wasnt available at my pincode :p

Gotta hand it to MS India and MS as a whole. Clear communication on everything, be it price or date or availability. No bullshit vague answers or ghosting. PS India on the other hand have been nothing but bunch of lazy a*s morons. BIS etc are not an excuse if MS could get them done in time and launch on time. Yes games are lacking a little bit on the MS side but with Bethesda in tow, their internal studios will soon catch up with Sony.

Same. Dont like Harry Potter but that game looked good! Day one! And I dont care if she gets the money either. I didnt think her comments were hating on trans people, at least thats how it seemed to me. We can have a nuanced debate about whether a 35 year old suddenly claiming to be a woman and entering woman washrooms is a good idea or not (cases such as Jessica Yaniv raise suspicions) or whether some parents are being over reactive on these issues and changing genders of their adolescent children just because the child wore one cross-dress some day. These are complicated topics and I dont think shutting down anyone who even slightly disagrees is a good idea. It is even worse of an idea when a big chunk of public doesnt understand the nuances and sees that as an agenda being shove down their throats (and lets be honest, it is being done to quite an extent). What are you talking about? One can walk in into a CEX and get a boxed second hand PS4 pro at 33k, with 2 years warranty! A brand new one costs 38k I think, with 2-3 games bundled in. That would be some poor soul who will get ripped off here. 40k for a new PS4 pro is crazy, let alone for an old one.

Please tag me too when pre-orders go live in India. I also hope that they dont bring the EU pricing here. Then games will cost 6k! Damn it they were already too expensive. Went from 2499 to 2999 then 3499 then 3999 and now at least 5k. Fuuuuuuuu.......k.

How are you guys paying 1$ per month? I am paying like 300 odd rs every month once the promo expired. Do I need to create different accounts each month to get the $1 promo?
