I doubt that mx2games is going to ship anytime soon. His timelines keep slipping. It was 2-4 weeks within launch first, then it became first week of December and now he is saying 'will update when arrived'. We know he has stock which he is selling at higher price. Which is OK sometimes, but now it seems he is simply shafting the original pre-order guys and will send them only when all his new higher price orders have dried up.

To me this sensitivity to 30FPS came about with OLEDs only. I've played many many 30FPS games on LCDs and it never bothered me. Yeah I could tell 60FPS was a bit better, but didnt matter much and didnt induce any perceptible issues. Come OLEDs and boy. Suddenly 30FPS was a judderfest and it was very very hard for me to play on 30FPS anymore.

So basically they were able identify pretty easily in Last of Us, Spiderman and Mirage. But failed in Demons souls and God of war. So depends on the game and implementation. Also it was video (I understand why), and not actual live feed from PS5 and Pro, on which they were judging. Maybe the compression also reduces the obvious differences. Look I think at the end it comes down to this- if you are OK with 30FPS with good graphics or 60FPS with poorer graphics, PS5 will do just fine for you. If you are like me- someone who wants good graphics but just hates the 30FPS they come with, then pro might make sense for you. I am on an OLED and 30FPS feels just so juddery but 60FPS mode is so blurry. So I want to have a pro. But its not for everyone.

Are we taking bets about whether he will honor the earlier orders? :p I am nervous, but he has been a good seller till now. Lets see.

I also have a sneaking suspicion that Bond will be female (maybe thats why they are calling it project 007, cause its not 'James' bond anymore). At the same time, if Bond is indeed female, then she is almost guaranteed to also be lesbian (or Bi), which a small part of me wants to see lol.

Doesnt steam region lock the pricing and bans you if you use VPN to buy games at a cheaper location? PSN should do the same and then reduce digital prices in India and other developing countries. Most PSN games are like 4799 in India, which is basically 55-60USD.

Its a third category all of its own :p RE is less horror more action. Alan wake has atmosphere but its not really a horror game for the most part and still has good amount of action. Silent Hill is full on atmosphere and leans more on the horror side. There is fighting and there are guns, but it does focus more on making each bullet and hit count. I would say leave aside the RE comparisons. Go in simply knowing that you are about to play an amazing game, a journey through a beautiful and dreadful town, and a story which really rivals other mediums and is not generic schlock like RE (no offense, I love that series too). Try and stick and you will not be disappointed. By the end of it you will be sure as hell glad you got to experience it.

Finished. Took me about 22 hours. What a game! I didnt think anything was going to come close to Wukong as my GotY but its damn close now. Yes the graphics are amazing (played on PC with RT on and 4K) and the sound is bar none (play with headphones at night to sh*t your pants), but its the atmosphere that takes it to the next level. The most atmospheric game I've ever played, with the most mature story I've seen tackled in this medium. I now know why the original game lovers are so obsessed. This game makes you feel like you've been to fog-filled, soaked, damp and cold streets of Silent hill, and then you've been to hell and back. Absolutely blown away. "In my restless dreams, I see that town. Silent hill." IKWYM.

Oh FFS! F**ing Rockstar. Greedy Fs. Should've made a remake, if not a remaster, for that price.

Is this game really good? Going for 3.2K on Amazon and thinking if its worth it. I usually like third person games but hack and slashes are hit and miss for me.

Yupe. Also one game where ray-tracing did seem to have tangible visual impact for me. This is a damp, soggy, foggy, wet, super atmospheric game where the reflections truly do enhance the atmosphere and are abundant. Getting pretty good performance with amazing visuals on DLSS performance, 4K with ray-tracing (3080, 5600x), after applying some recommended optimizations through engine.ini file. Spent more than an hour just roaming around and soaking atmosphere. Havent even faced my first enemy yet. This is going to be a good one.

First time I am seeing that PSN digital is cheaper than disc version. Does this happen often? I always thought initially they launch at the same price and the disc version usually drops in price after a couple of months while PSN version remains at same price for quite some time.

If anyone faced the below issue with Amaozn, please help me with the below query/issue. I ordered the PS5 disc drive from Amazon. It was in stock (though delivery date of 12th oct) when I ordered. Post my order it shows the product as unavailable on product page. My order status shows as 'preparing to dispatch'. My order is safe, right, despite it now being unavailable? It will arrive or does Amazon cancel orders on its own also?

Vamos indeed! :p yeah thats what I am thinking too, to get it in this sale itself. This and FF rebirth as that too seems to have dropped in price in the sale.

Is this in preparation for PS5 pro or you have a digital edition?

Hoping for the same. I dont want my PS5 pro to become a giant brick after finishing 2-3 games (FF Rebirth, Ghost 2 and maybe Rise of ronin). Hopefully GTA 6 also releases in 2025 only.

Guys I am embarrassed to report that I succumbed to FOMO (and the fact that I am joining a new job in December and had some quality downtime to spend on gaming before that) and pre-ordered the PS5 pro from mx2games. With 5% cashback card it ended up costing me 65.5K, which I guess is not that bad a deal. They are also giving 3 months seller warranty and have not let me down before (have bought a Switch and some games from them earlier). So have taken this risk (despite my earlier posts lol). Wait for Nov begins. Hopefully all goes well. Otherwise seppuku in order

If by hit after hit you mean Helldivers 2 (also on PC) or Astro bot, I already said GAAS dont interest me. Astro bot could be OK. I personally need big/good single player exclusives to buy a console. Thats why I bought PS3, PS4 and PS5. But PS5 kinda sucked in that department after a couple of OK years. I dont mind PC releases either as they anyway happen like 2 years after PS5 release. But at least games toh ho koi. Post FF16 ekdam sukha pada hai with nothing much on Horizon. As of now, like I said, to me FF7 rebirth is the only reason for getting a PS5 pro. But ek game ke liye thode hi 70k kharch karunga. Even wikipedia PS5 exclusive entry has only 21 games, and most of them are VR or barely OK games. If there is a good gap between PC and PS5 release and the game is good, I get it day one on PS5. So its not about them releasing on PC after 2 years. It about there simply not being many good singleplayer games recently on in the near future.
