Just another reminder of just how much power hot women have over men. Its almost a superpower. I always knew it but the extent of it became clear only when I started dating my wife (stealth brag :p). Just yesterday, an RTO officer personally came to our building to give her car renewal papers after doing everything that an agent would rather do. Free of charge, of course. Iska 20% bhi sabko treat kar dete toh dhanya ho jaate ham sab. But then there are times when it doesn't work too. When there is another lady saamne. Then it fails spectacularly. Girls really do hate each other lol. I am jealous and proud at the same time lol.

Had a talk with both Sony centers in Pune. I dont think these guys know much either. First center- Taking pre-booking for 10k, no idea about dates. Second center- Taking pre-booking for 25k (lol. when I said thats too much says sir kitna bhi jama kara do aapki marji. wtf), says will release first week of Jan. Yeah, stay away until official announcement. I will rather trust Amazon etc more. Either I buy it from Amazon or I go to Sony center on launch day and get it myself.

As much as we arent on the map, its funny that a consultant who specializes in emerging markets has no idea about the status of PS5 launch in those very markets :p

All cards have 115% power limit, at least the 3080s, so not sure what going berserk means here. That would've been a serious glitch if the system was to become unstable. I have a colorful 3080 and as much as I am loathe to suggest a Chinese brand, the only time the card was giving me any trouble was when Nvidia control panel was f**king things up. So not the card's fault. Right now the card has an average boost clock of 2GHz after the manual adjustments, at an average temp of 70 degrees. Thats about as good as you can get on any 3080. Usually the AIBs are almost always better than the founder's cards, though this time Nvidia has indeed improved the founder's cards too.

Colorful 3080 is available for 73000 at some websites. Granted yours might be slightly overlocked version, but it doesnt matter. Always get the cheapest one of same graphics card. Galax is a slightly better brand so that might be a consideration. I personally got a Colorful 3080 Ultra OC for 74k. 5600x MSRP is 27000, but I suppose its supply constrained so thats a decent price. There might be some wiggle room in RAM. I got slightly better 32GB in 9800. Do you really need EVO? Currently there are no benefits on PC with very fast SSDs. PC architecture is severely limited by the I/O bandwidth and no point in gaming of any NVME SSD above 2GBPS. You can get 1TB crucial NVME SSD with 3-4GBPS at less than 10k. Absolute waste of money at 96k in my opinion. Which ASROCK is the mobo? There are a few B550 ones from Asrock. I personally was able to get Gigabyte Aorus pro B550 Wifi for 16k.

Turn it on I say. I personally am perfectly fine as long as the frame rate stays above 40fps. Below 40 I start to notice, but anything above 40 if fine by me. So I will turn it on if I was you.

Got it free with new 3080 graphics card and tried it. Have to say, it looks pretty amazing in 4K with RT and HDR. Didnt even need to turn on DLSS as it was pretty smooth anyway. But other than the absolute good looks, thats about it! Seems CoD is still stuck in 2006- same gameplay mechanics. Same arcade running and shooting. Same over the top missions with no stakes. I hope and wish that as I play further there are calmer more interesting missions like All Ghillied up in COD4 (that mission is still THE best mission in all of Call of Duty games).

It is indeed slightly disappointing when politics affects the review scores. In my personal opinion review scores should be about the quality of the game itself, and not about whether it represents a particular group or not. Someone is going to be offended by everything all the time that way. And that goes for me also. I dont get all offended if GTA5 doesnt have Indian characters or if their representation is slightly off. A world full of always offended seems pretty 1984 boring for me, where there are so many guidelines to conform to that all the fun is sucked out and only a shell of the final product (be it movies, books, games etc) remains. Subtlety I dont mind, and of course there are going to be themes in any work of art- be the themes of right or left wing. But when a game like Life is strainge goes 'thats why we need the wall, to keep people like you out', I am thrown out of the game. The subtlety of a hammer is not what I am looking to be hit with in a game.

I had a shitty AC once. Those were the days when I was trying my own startup and hence saved every penny. Mumbai heat, tried to run AC just a couple of hours a day. Got a bill of 13000. I still remember that day. I hadn't eaten an ice-cream, my favorite, since 1 month just to save 100rs, and then got 13k bill. Not gonna lie, I cried. Though main point is, ACs are indeed expensive, especially if they turn out to be inefficient ones. I won't want to turn them on just for the console.

There is no doubt AMD is back in business at the high end but there are a few caveats. 1. These are hand chosen comparisons from AMD. Reviews are out and aggregated 6800XT is ~7% slower than 3080 at 4k. It's an absolute monster at 1440p and 1080p though and beats 3080 more often than not. 2. It's much slower in ray-tracing, if you value that. 3. As of now, no DLSS alternative on AMD. DLSS is a huge performance booster. 4. Slower GDDR6 Vram with 256 bit bus (which is why it falls behind in 4k) as compared to GDDR6X at 320 bit bus of 3080. 5. But a huge plus that it has 16GB of Vram while 3080 has only 10GB. More future proof? Possibly. 6. Another plus is that it has Smart Access Memory, which gives 2-10% boost depending on game, if you have a 5000 series processor and 500 series motherboard. Nvidia will also get it, but later. 7. A huge negative for India though, is the absolute absurd pricing of the 6800xt. Its priced at 77k (with GST) in india. That's higher than 71k of 3080 (and 62k founders edition, though I doubt they will ever come here now). Not that 3080 is available anywhere near 71k for the most part. It usually starts from 85k. But given the absolute paper launch of 6800XT, that guy might be even higher than 3080 because of higher MSRP. This is ridiculously stupid from AMDs side. So, overall, I personally think it depends on what you want. If you value raytracing dlss and play at 4K, and can get a 3080 below 80k, go with Nvidia. If not and if 6800XT is available close to its batshit MSRP of 77k, go with that. Very good to see options at the high end though

Just saw 6800xt pricing in India. 77k MSRP including GST. If 71k MSRP of 3080 is any indication, will be pretty hard find 6800xt, if at all, at close to this. 90000rs 6800XTs incoming looks like. The recent gaming launches have been ridiculous. The AMD processor prices were pretty reasonable when converted, and was decently easy find near that. What happened with the GPUs?

Yupe. Colorful igame ultra OC. To be honest I am indeed a little concerned given that its a Chinese brand that has just entered India, but I read a few reviews and watched Linus and Jayz2cents reviews of their 3080s and that calmed me down a little bit. It helps that rashi peripherals is their distributor in India which means warranty shouldnt be much of an issue. There was another point of me not wanting to give my money to a Chinese company, but the next non chinese cards were inferior Zotac reference cards at 86k I even decided to purchase a 91k gigabyte vision 3080 just to avoid buying a Chinese product, but then when I called the retailer to confirm they said it wasnt really in stock (which means dont go by stocks being shown on websites. Call and confirm before placing an order!) So yeah, there are some negative points for me but I guess that was the best deal at this moment.
