Depends on whether you: 1. Play games on your console via disc or have some PS4 games (disc versions) that you would play on ps5 2. Use the console as a Blu ray player If above is true for you, then disc version is better. Else the digital version. Apart from the disc slot, there is no difference between the two systems. Do note however, the current Pre orders are only for the disc version. There is no confirmation from Sony on when the digital only versions will come here Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Had the official console been 80k I think most of us would have still bought. But the fact that the console was priced officially at 50k, buying one for 80k that too without warranty was a bit scary. However seeing the Pre-order madness this time, I might go for the grey route itself next time around if the console launch in India is not the same as the rest of the world. I did fight, after all logically it’s a credit at the end of the day, even went upto their manager etc. Nothing came out of that. So just paid and moved ahead as, everyday I wasn’t paying up the interest kept on getting accumulated Was a long time back though (more than 10 years now). Don’t know man, the hype for the console is real and the disappoint of missing out on a Pre-order can actually make people pay more. I hope Amazon continues to keep releasing stocks like they are doing. I also remember it being mentioned somewhere that around 15000 might be coming to India by 12th, so maybe there would be more units allotted to the retailers (except RD) and another round of Pre orders can happen before 2nd feb. Also, units may just come in on day 1 and be available at retail stores with buy now option It’s important that the scalpers are burnt this time around, as that will ensure they will never venture out scalping like this in India ever again. People just need to hold out till 2nd feb and not buy from these scalpers, as if that happens, most of them will cancel their Pre-orders and thus genuine buyers may get theirs from official retailers Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I had a bad experience with Citibank in the same scenario. I bought something and that got cancelled in the next billing cycle. I made the balance payment thinking total credits match total Debits, however in the next statement I noticed a non-payment interest charge, called the Cc and they said you have to clear the billed amount as per statement while the other credit will be counted in the next cycle. After that experience, I have never left the billed amount unpaid even though a credit was received in the next billing cycle. My suggestion would still be to confirm with the bank first as different banks may have different policies in this regards. Better to be safe than sorry Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I actually like the way Amazon is drip feeding the consoles. I feel more genuine people are able to get it this way (I could be completely wrong). Having@Shantz tracker only available to IVG members would have been a huge advantage to us. That’s actually why I didn’t bother to order from them even when it was mentioned they have stock. There were so many warnings issued by fellow forum members against RD that I just stayed away from it. However, having said that, it’s really shameful what RD did. They had no excuse this time as they had already experienced this issue before with Xbox and thus should have rectified the issue, and also this time there were clear instructions from Sony to all retailers on the exact amount of units they would have. What’s worse is, they are just randomly cancelling orders (or atleast that’s what we can make out of it. As per my knowledge, that’s not how it works. Cancellations reflected in the statement ‘after’ the bill (that contains the original expense) is generated are not considered as payments. These cancellations reflect as a Credit entry in the statement that will impact the next bill. The bank requires you to ‘pay’ the billed amount completely. Different banks may have different policies though so this may not be true across all banks. Anyways, my suggestion for [mention]bharathitman [/mention] would be to call his bank and confirm whether cancellations after the bill is generated will be considered as a payment. Yes, but then he ‘has’ to pay the 50k amount after those 20 days even if he gets it cancelled since the bill would have got generated (refunds or returns on cards don’t count as payment, they just reflect as a credit that will be adjusted in the next billing cycle).
