    I've had Ps5 for 2 full days now and all I've played is Fifa 21 and that too the PS4 version (given all friends are on ps4)[emoji23][emoji23]
     
    Will start with God of War tonight. Have refreshed all the story through youtube vids [emoji294]️

    I’ve been jumping from game to game since the ps5 arrived. I think I should settle down and focus on one game at a time now [emoji51]

    Guys tried out the disc install and am I seeing things or is it downloading the whole game from the internet even though a disc is present?

     

    I mean I fired up Yakuza 0 and on the PS4 upon inserting the disc, it would almost instantly boot up. On the PS5, it showed some install percentage on the dashboard and in the downloads and install it was actually showing the full 23GB being downloaded. WTF? default_wacko.png

     

    Now added The Last of Us Part 2 and first disc was done in 20 mins and inserted play disc and it allows me to play but I check the download and upload tab and it shows All data 77.345GB and it seems like this data is being installed at my net speed. 

     

    I'm confused. Is it reading from the disc & it's that slow or am I missing something here?

    It’s not downloading anything but instead just copying from the disc. Basically the download and copying (from disc) is displayed under the same section.

    How has your experience been with running ps4 stuff off an external?
    I am thinking of getting a dedicated 2 tb external for ps4 stuff, i dont wanna fill the internal storage up

    Runs perfectly. Haven faced any issues. However if you want better loading times then install on the SSD. Personally speaking, I would prefer to run them from the hdd as the extra space on the console > loading time speed boost for me.

    Even I have a tiny bit of coil whine. It's not even audible when playing a game (with headphones or earphones), it's only audible when you put your ears close to the console. Even then it's not present all the time

    I agree. Personally it doesn’t bother me at all...Infact after listening to the sound i wondered what all that fuss was all about.

    I anyway sit about 6-7ft away and would mostly have headphones while playing so I don’t see it as an issue. Luckily my dogs are also not bothered with the high pitched sound so all’s well [emoji869]

    Played it just a month back on pc. I don't know what cam was it. But it played random shots half the time. Tried everything

    That random shot is by design on lower difficulty levels (it plays the shot in the right direction even if you push the stick in the wrong direction on low difficulty levels). I think you left it too quickly. It’s an awesome cricketing experience once you get the controls and play on medium and higher difficulties.

    You need to unlearn all previous cricket games as in this game your feet placement, when you hit the ball etc all play a big role in determining the direction of the shot. Also play around with the custom difficulty settings to tweak it even further as per your liking (I increased the timing etc).

    Don't forget to experience the magic of adaptive triggers when your player is out of stamina and you try to sprint [emoji23][emoji23]

    The adaptive trigger implementation is something I didn’t like in this game, mostly due to the fact that when you pass around the ball during a counter attack and are pressing the sprint button with multiple players, sometimes it becomes hard to push (due to low stamina) while with the next pass it gets pushed in easily.

    It makes my focus shift from the screen to the controller which I found a little distracting. Specially since we already are able to make out visually that the player has less stamina with his diminished sprint speed. Not to forget the mechanical sound the controller makes when it sets the triggers back to normal...it always scares me something will break since it has to do this with almost every pass

    Don't lik paying anything more than 500 for FIFA games. 
    Ha toh mere liye I have downloaded Days gone, mafia , HZDCE , cuphead , monster hunter.
    But I think you're right. It's enough, I downloaded too much stuff in excitement lol [emoji23][emoji23]

    Fifa 2021 is on sale on psn...just 1500 bucks!! Well worth the 300% jump on your price ceiling for fifa games! The gameplay is so much better than 20. Must go for it imho

    Played some warzone, destruction and FIFA 21 and towards the end when I boot up Fifa 21 the fan did kick in. It wasn’t loud and Infact was hardly noticeable but I could hear the it kick in.

    With PS4 games however the fan remains as silent as it is I’m on the Home Screen with no game running in the background.

    Also, I do hear the coil whine (or whatever that sound is. It sounds like a refrigerator) [emoji51]
